Ship of the dessert.

Riding experience. This is the best an suv can get. A true off-road travel companion u need. It's luxurious at the same time. It has the curves that gies with the boxy design. The ride is as smooth as yacht in a clam ocean. Some call it as a ship of the dessert, u won't correct them if u hav seen them gliding through the sand. It's such a beautiful view, heart melting scene. (literally lost in the beauty as it was gliding through sands of Rajasthan desert). The engine (4.5L V8 Diesel) is quite and has a very minimal noise. Powerful engine that makes ride butter smooth and absolutely no efforts. The transmission (6-speed automatic, full-time 4WD) is smooth and is perfect both on road and off road purpose without any difficulty. With a 650Nm torque and 4WD system it gives u immense driving pleasure and comfort, no matter the ride is on or off the road. The suspension is double wishbone in front and four link coil spring at the rear. Again adding to the comfortable and sporty ride. All gadgets you need in a luxury car is equipped in this fortress. Automatic headlamps (projector with LEDs) with headlight washers and all the essentials you need. The interior is a nice brown colured (also available in beige and black) leather seats which super comfortable and equipped with heaters.

3 Power outlets can be found(12V + 12V + 220V AC{boot}), which quite handy in many ways. 5 Drive modes - normal, eco, comfort, sports, sport +. 4 cameras makes it super cool to position the car. The company guy said car can easily go through a water body upto 700mm.(never put it to test) One of the super cool featue is the Crawl control feature. It is to be used in off road conditions. But it can also be used in a slow moving traffic (just an opinion and worked when i tried). It is basically a cruise control set at very low speed. Boot is spectacular especially with the split doors which can be useful in many ways , easy loading of luggages as well as bench during hunting or a picnic. Service and maintainance It is a bit expensive . Don't compare it with an innova or fortuner in maintanance cost. Like the car, car parts are also imported which makes them expensive.(i own a 2011 fortuner which is extremely cheap in terms of maintanance) but not as expensive like the german or british rivals. Cons: 1)Expensive in price . 2)Not luxurious like it rivals . ( as the interior is not upto the mark only when compared to its rivals like GL G-wagon Porsche range rover) also keep in mind that it is neither made of bad quality nor of poor standards. Its made for purpose. If you want luxury opt for lexus 470 which is exactly same under the hood as well as quality but phenomenal in terms of luxury and is available in india. Pros It is a toyota Huge road presence Riding comfort- both off road and on road. Smooth ride. Glide through almost every obstacle. True off roader Will definitely stand out in a crowd. Once again its a Toyota.
