Here's a brief of my frustrating experience with Corolla Altis, Toyota India, Galaxy Toyota (Moti Nagar, Delhi)
- Unending Issues with CNG: I would have sent my car at least 5 times to CNG company for solving one or other issue. The latest issue was that it automatically switches to Petrol despite enough quantity of CNG.
- Disk Brake Issues: Within 50K kms of drive, I've got it replaced 4 times and spent whopping money (i.e. over Rs 40,00). Service Advisor says it's normal while my friends & relatives who own a similar segment car were shocked. I found out that I am not alone; it seems to be a known design issue: At the same time I got to know that it’s an issue known to Toyota. - Car Doesn't Start: Every day, multiple times the card doesn't start till I try 10-15 times and at times getting stuck in the middle of the road for 3-5 minutes. I complained about it and sent the car for repair multiple times. Service center would do some testing, cleaning & give some other excuse and send back the car. Latest excuse was that battery is week, which I replaced and the problem is still there :(.
- Worst Service Experience: 5/6 times, the car has comes back from the service center (Galaxy Toyota) with 1 or more issues including scratch in the car, uninstalled part, non-working center locking. My experience with Maruti is FAR better. If you are sending car to Galaxy Toyota for service, be prepared to wait for at least 3-4 extra hours or upto wait for next day delivery above the estimated time. Overall, I've sent my car for more than 20 times to Galaxy Toyota and the problems are still not solved. There are more issues as well but I believe the above listed ones are sufficient for anyone at my place to lose patience.
