Toyota Motors has launched the all new 10th generation Toyota Corolla Altis.
This car redefines elegance, luxury and style, surely making you feel that it belongs to a class above. It provides a driving experience which is far beyond anything that you could have experienced previously. The Toyota CorollaAltis is actually the new avatar of the Corolla.
The ToyotaCorolla Altis has a completely new style and eye catching looks. It has latest engine technology, modern safety features and a competitive price tag. It has a lower and a wider body for a stable ride. Moreover, it has more bold and advanced looks. There are smooth flowing lines that flow from front to rear lending rich and gorgeous looks to the body. The 7 spoke 15" alloy wheels lend it an additional articulate look.
The interiors are luxurious and have a wood grain finish. They present comfort that is beyond any comparison. With a curved flowing centre console, it has wide and spacious looks. Additionally, it has a large trunk that has the capability to store four large suitcases. Switches are conveniently placed on the steering wheel so that the audio system can be controlled without taking your eyes off the road.

Exterior It has a royal looks,GOOD looking alloy wheels, super cool head lights and break lights and from outside it really looks like a miny camry imposing lenthy looks.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Nice as per our usability it has a aux in,steering controls, excellent legroom, powerfull A/C,leather seats, specially back seats are as comfortable as you dont imagine and mainly powered seats to driver it is 8 ways adjustable electrically and there is also whip lash protection system that you dont get in any other car in its segment.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The 1.8ltr engine performance is excellent, fuel economy not bad it retains 9 to 10kml,it has good gearshift also smooth and silky.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is excellent and it rides like a chetha, handles like a horse!!!the main thing of this car is its ground clearence,it can go swiftly in bad roads specially in india as you know.
Final Words You dont go really wrong with it because it is a toyota product, thats allllllll.
Areas of improvement Its brakes noise should be reduced, and little sharp detail should be done on the outside thats all.

Exterior Good finish, smooth contours, aerodynamic styling, powerful headlamps, good frontal and real view. Not-so-great side view with the exagerated bulges.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) For the price, interiors can be termed as good, though not opulant. Instrument panel is clutter-free. Music system is utalitarian and serves the purpose (noting to write home about). Could have done without the excess grey. Both driver and passenger seats are well designed and very ergonomic ( a blessing for someone like me with a slip disk problem).
Rear seats are average. Leg room is adaquate. Rear headrests are oddly positioned and are good only for tall persons sitting upright. Has great boot space of @ 500 ltrs. AC is good though it tends to behave odd at times and is indifferent to the climate control settings, while at most times it is perfect, Noise is kept out effectively and ride quality is excellent in cruise mode. Does tend to get bumpy at low speads. The good ground clearance ensures there are no nasty thuds which I absolutely hate.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Firstly the Engine: Once revved up, it comes into it's own and is truly built for high-speed crusining (touched 170 k/h without much sweat while being rock solid) The fuel effeciency is great on highways. I get 15-16 km/ltr driving Pune to Goa. In the city, peak traffic, it still manages a respectable 11 km/lts. When traffic is light, I have streatched a tankfull (@42 ltrs) to a good 520 kms. It has been two years since I bought the car. Have done close to 30K so far. Have had no issues witht he gearbox whatsoever. I have heard folks calling the gear-shift notchy, but never felt so myself. It is precise and definite, which is probably how I like it.
Ride Quality & Handling The ride qality has two parts to it. It is adaquate on bad roads (you hear the thuds on account of the vehicle weight) but when you are above 40 km/hr, everything gets a lot more refined and harmonic. The engine rythm and rev is good and indicates it has enough horses under the hood in case you need them. Also the ride quality improves dramatically at higher speeds. The handling at tight corners is probably not as good as the Civic, but it is not bad.
Final Words Great car. Has my complete endorsment for a family man who likes to travel and craves some excitement and refinement along the way.
Areas of improvement None!
Aerodynamic styling, good fuel economy for it's size/engine capacity, rides well on highwaysNot very agile from stand-still. ride quality in city roads could have been better

Exterior
The exterior is not jazzy but gives the impression of a decent car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Interior is awesome. Leather seats, automatic headlamps, photo-chromic rear-view mirror, power driver seat add to the comfort, In the rear seat three people can sit comfortably. The missing bump in the rear cabin floor makes moving in and out easy. The passenger in the middle sits comfortably. AC is very powerful, Skoda Laura has a better audio. But the bump in the rear cabin floor was a deterrent.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
If I don't drive aggressively I get a mileage of about 10 Kmph in Hyderabad city traffic, When I drive more often on the (so-called) highway (Outer Ring Road), the mileage increases to 11+ change.
Ride Quality & Handling
Very comfortable ride. Car obeys the driver. Skoda Laura appeared a lot heavier but that was compensated by its engine power (which was awesome).
Final Words
I had to make a difficult choice between Skoda Laura and Altis. I settled for Corolla because of the comfort it provides to the third passenger sitting in the rear-middle seat - there is a head-reast for this passenger too. I would recommend an automatic transmission for owner-driven cars. I have been driving it for last 3 months and the experience has been "money well spent".
Areas of improvement
Improve the audio system - install a Bose like Skoda, Price tag - a bit high. Can't believe I paid almost double of what I would have paid in the US. but this is India and the government does make a lot of money on these cars.
