Exterior Polo has the best styling in its class, Straight lines across the door look solid and paint job is just brilliant.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is great but fuel economy is not that good on highway it gives around 17kmpl with a speed of 100kmph-120kmph and city mileage is around 13kmpl in hyderabad the gearbox transmission is smooth but back gear will be very hard after few months of usage and the service center manager in hyderabad Mr.SHAILENDRA says it is very common problem for all polo. They claim a mileage of 21kmpl on highway and 17kmpl in city for POLO tdi Highline but that not true. No matter how decent you drive it will be around 14kmpl only.
There was a dent to the left door even after giving it servicing and doing the denting and painting job it was slightly visible, I asked him why is that still visible he says the built quality is so strong that it will be visible even after denting. First they were acting like its not the dent and then he boasts about built quality. Pathetic service and very costly. I advice everyone going to a VW service center to take their home or land documents with them incase the bill is too high you can put it as guarentee and get your car. :P
Ride Quality & Handling Good Ride and very stable at highspeeds on highway, i have myself driven it around 170kmph it was solid without any shakes. But engine noise is very audible inside the car though I cannot expect it to be as smooth as my fathers Honda City iVTECH petrol engine I expect it to be atleast as smooth as swift DDIS engine.
Final Words Nice styling and built quality but very poor mileage and backseat legroom and service station is filled with inexperienced technicians and manager. VW needs to learn a lot from Maruthi in terms of serving the customer.

Premium Interiors, All features are available nothing to complain about. Little time taking to get familier with.
Good pickup at low speed and feel in control even at top speed. City got 16kmpl not been to long drive . Quit easy to park. Park assist is useful too.
Best ride quality. I have Ford Fusion too and feel much better to drive. I have driven Petrol all the time but when I switched to this car really didn't feel and dificulty.
Its little on higher side on price in its segment but much better quality car.
For the lenghth of this car, rear space would have been better. The right side front wiper doesn't fold fully. I had noticed this issue before buying but its not big issue. Somehow the fogging doesn't go that easility which I noticed during recent rains. Rear view is poor too.

I have purchase polo car highline diesel just 2nd day brake totaly failing problem. I meet showroom head he insult me he use bad words to our personal meeting about car that problem, I request him to replace car. But 3rd july to now my new polo car in workshop. No any reply for company and its staff to which parts create that problem in car.
The work shop supervisor and other staff reply me we are replace one by one brake parts and chek u r car. My new car polo totaly assembeled. After not a any surity in future that brake failing problem not a create again.

Exterior Perfect look, perfect design, perfect from side, back side and front side. simply the best.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I love its interior, the quotity of plastic, leather and finishing is awesome. no match with any other top hatch. enough space for laguage, large seats are very comfortable, sometimes I drive more then 400 km in a day without any problem, its too comfortable.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent engine performance, getting 20 milage in city and 22-23 on highway, and gearbox is so smooth and gear knob in polo is same like in vw passat.

The 2013/14 Model of Polo is Best equiped compared to all polo's from its launch in Indian Market with marginal price increase which does not matter if you consider the VW badge. The Black & Beige interior just adds elegance to the car and you wud not feel claustophobic while seating in Polo. Interior quality is the best amongst all hatches. It just feels so rock solid & Long lasting. The ''THUD'' sound from the doors give a assurance of the strong long lasting build quality of the car. VW has exceptionally given all small touches to the interiors.

Yes !!!! there is slight turbo lag till 1800 rpm BUT the engine so smooth that its super fun to drive the TDI mill 😄. Polo Diesel is best decision i have taken in terms of engine smoothness and overall driving experience. The fuel economy is 17-18 kmpl in city and 21-22 kmpl on highways with 100% a/c. Gearbox is slick and short, easy to hold and engage gears.

Nobody can beat Polo in the premium hatchback category as far as Ride Quality & Handling is concerned bcoz its the forte of Volkswagen cars. VW has interestingly increased the ground clearance of Polo which helps the car to glide easily without touching the humps on bad roads.
Final Words
I have driven around 1500kms til date and believe me there is always a smile on my face whwnever i have driven polo diesel. If you need mileage, build quality, steadiness, rock solid interior, superb driving experience with good ride quality and handling with a premium badge..this is the car !

I own a Polo car, which met with an accident by a rolling stone which fell off from a lorry in front, damaging the car bottom/ oil sump. The car was handed over to Abra motors.
Abra Motors surveyed the car on 24.01.2014 and informed that the oil sump had a crack and it has to be replaced. Insurance surveyor inspected on the same day and approved the value of about INR 26,500, against INR about 48,000 raised by the dealer. Mr. Muthuvel Murugan of Abra Motors informed that the car will be made ready on 31st January. When I enquired on 31st January, he informed that there were damages in the engine and therefore the parts value of about INR 3,45,000 has to be replaced. I was shocked and surprised and enquired in detail. He mentioned that oil pressure was low and hence the bearing has scoring marks and therefore he is suspecting that the crankshaft and the related parts must have been damaged. When I asked that there was no low oil indication in the car which is supposed to warn, he explained that the low oil indication is not oil level, it is low oil pressure and it will not appear, if there is slight pressure. I again clarified with him that, if there is no pressure warning, then it must supply oil to the critical parts for which he mentioned that the low oil indication must have come when the incident happened. I mentioned to him that no oil indication warning appeared and I also confirmed him that if there was no indication at the time of handing over the car on 24.01.2014. He has no technical reason to clarify my doubt. Hence, I requested him to coordinate with the insurance and convince them to accept the engine related damages due to the accident. After rigorously following with Abra Motors daily, today they informed that insurance denied to approve the engine damages and they mentioned that we need to pay about INR 65,000 for rectifying the engine, besides the insurance approval on the oil sump parts. I mentioned to him that I am totally dissatisfied to pay any amount when I have invested on the Volkswagen the costliest car in the market along with extended warranty payment and also having Insurance covering bumper to bumper through the policy referred above. He replied that I have the following three options: 1. Rectify the car as per the insurance approval on oil sump parts and pay about INR 6,900 for oil etc.,Muthuvel Murugan informed that Abra Motors does not recommend this , as the engine might seize at any time. 2. Rectify the car as per the insurance approval on oil sump parts and pay about INR 24,000 for oil seal, oil etc.,. This is not safe but ok to use the car. 3. Rectify the car as per the insurance approval on oil sump parts and pay about INR 65,000 for bearings, oil seal,oil, etc.,. This is recommended. I have now confirmed to Abro Motors/ Mr. Muthuvel Muruganto rectify the car as per point 2 recommendations and informed him that I will be making a complaint to you on this cost of INR 24,000. I am not convinced on the above recommendations, since the accident should be covered either by insurance or by extended warranty scheme. Moreover if the engine bearings and other parts are getting damaged without oil indication warning then it is design fault by Volkswagen. With all the above additional payment for full car insurance and warranty, why I should bear additional cost for rectification charges? Areas of improvement

Final Words My polo tends to remain in constant speed even after releasing accelerator pedal only now and y them moves about 2/3 Kim's speed reduces only after applying brakes unlike by releasing accelatrator pedal if anybody is facing similar experience please contact 9480XXXXXX.
Even after several visit to service centre they have been not able to rectify it to my satisfaction and now I am scared to drive in city limits in the long run absolutely no problem. They claim it's a feature of the car I don't think so I have purchased the car in February 2013 and worried about safety of life and my polo, in the long runi it's smooth and we don't feel like it's a Diesel engine
