Exterior I like the elegant European design of WV Polo which is very similar to VWGolf. Body is very havy and strong. No body noice when driving. Boot space is best in class and body paint comes with 6 years of warrenty.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I love the interior of this car. Trust me it is very very high quality. Design is bit plain and sober but beautiful and very sterdy.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I own a 1.2L petrol and engine is awesome it is silent and powerful. This car is giving me 16+ mielage on highway and 14+ in city (milage depands on driving habbits). Gears in this car is smooth as butter and gearshift doesn't wobble at all. I can drive this car at 40km/h in city with 5th gear without problem. Also pickup is very good too. VW Polo is a well engeinered German car.

Ride Quality & Handling Steering wheel is very responcive and I love it. Car is very comfertable and AC is good too. I like tilt control steering it awesome for women driving. After sales and servecing is very very good and proffestional too.

Final Words A very good hatchback car. I considered Maruti Swift before this car but it is very common car and many of my friends and relatives have swift so I bought Volkswagen Polo. I don't use it everyday so I bought 1.2L petrrol version. I also heard that diesel Polo is also very good too. I am very much satisfied with my VW Polo.

Areas of improvement Volkswagen should make interior more cool and morden.(not a complaint just a suggestion).

Milage, Pickup, Comfort and very very good after sales service.Little too sober for some people's taste(But I like it)

Exterior 1.6 Highline is a beautiful car. Great alloys and overall looks great.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Since I sit in the front, it has excellent space.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very powerful engine delivering 105 bhp power. It doesn't seen that one is driving a small hatchback. It gives the feel of driving a larger sedan.

Ride Quality & Handling Very smooth to negotiate in traffic. I drive 180 kms daily from Gurgaon to Greater Noida and back. Just wish it had an Automatic version as well. Mileage I get is approximately 17-18 km/l which, considering the the power and comfort is outstanding!

Final Words I must say that I am thouroughly impressed with the vw polo 1.6. I already own an Audi 8, however found it very difficult to negotiate it in the Gurgaon, Delhi, and Noida traffic. I was heartbroken when a bike overtook me from the left and scrratched the left door and front fender. It is highly stressful driving a big car in Delhi Rush hour traffic. That is the main reaspn I opted to purchase a small car for my daily travel to office, etc. My criteria for selecting the car were: 1). No compromise on luxury, comfort, safety, and drivability. I shortlisted Polo 1.6, i20, and Honda Jazz; However I am glad I purchased the Polo 1.6. It is an amazing car that is fun to drive. Even the music system is great. Icing on the cake is the Mileage. It is consistently giving me 17-18 kmpl and it is only 3 months old. I can only imagine the mileage is going to get better with time!

Areas of improvement The VW Dealorship in Gurgaon (MG Road) is atrocious. I purchased the 2+2 year extended warranty when I bought the car, however I am yet to receive the warranty card. They always come up with silly excuses such as the computer system/network is down, etc. Also, I haven't received my Zero DAP insurance yet from the Company yet even 3 Months after the purchase!

Drive Quality, Handling, Mileage, Noise cancellation in Cabin, Interiors, German EngineeringGurgaon VW dealor yet to give me the 2+2 year ext. warranty card after 3 months!

DO NOT BUY ANY VOLKSWAGEN CAR.

PATHETIC SERVICE & FAKE COMMITMENTS.

Hi All those who are thinking of buying Volkswagen car. Let me tell you the false promises they do at time of selling the car. 

1. On 16th Aug (Friday) I had given my car to claim accident insurance, I had been told that I will get car on 20th Aug, Tuesday.

2. On 20th, Tuesday morning when I called service center, I had been told that car is not ready and would be ready by 21st, Wednesday.

3. On 21st, Wednesday morning when I again called, they again said car is not ready and would take one more day. Though I was already facing lot of problems as I use it to for to go my office. Anyways, I shown patience.

4. On 22nd, Thursday morning when I called, they told though car is ready but DO is not, because their system is not working.  They told if I want my car today, I need to pay whole amount (approx Rs 20,000) for which insurance was claimed. With my utmost SURPRISE and FRUSTRATION, I told them if company’s software is not working then how can they ask customer to pay whole amount and in case if customer can’t give, then they have to wait till DO comes. Means in every case customer will going to suffer. I had a heated argument with service center manager and he committed that somehow I will get my car on same day. AGAIN Nothing happened.

5. On 23rd, Friday, when again I did not get my car back, I took Mr Sanjay Pandita  mobile number (8860609061). Whom I called and he committed that I will get my car on same day and disconnected the call suddenly. It was mockery of customer, still I waited whole day. Nothing happened.

6. On 24th, Saturday I called Mr Pandita again and he said <b>‘I don’t have time just to listed these queries and disconnected the call immediately’</b>. 

I called him some 40-50 times but that chap even not picked my phone. Nothing happened. I HAD NEVER EVER SEEN ANY IRRESPONSIBLE EMPLOYEE AS I TOO IN CUSTOMER SERVICE INDUSTRY.

7. Then on 25th Sunday, when my tolerance finished, I told service center that I will lodge a police complaint and actually had abused them, then somehow I got my car back. But for my utmost surprise they did not send my original documents with me.

8. I called them and asked to them about of original documents and they told they had forgot to send it with the car and will send on Monday.

9. I waited whole day on Monday but document not sent.

10. They kept me waiting till Friday by doing continuous fake commitment but did not send the documents. Then again I had to abuse them and threaten of legal action against them then somehow I got my documents back. I have other cars, Hyundai and Maruti, their service are much much better than this pathetic and irresponsible company, Volkswagen.

I WANT TO MAKE EVERYONE AWARE THAT IF YOU WANT YOUR HAPPINESS GET SCREWED ONLY THEN GO AND BUY ANY VOLKSWAGEN CAR.

DO NOT BUY ANY VOLKSWAGEN CAR.

 Style better than Swift and Ritz and Grande Punto.At rear,rear wash/wipe is useful.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 Interior tends to get dirty easily.Wish there was a grey or black color interior but features are too much but could have been a turn indicator like i20.But boot space is more than SUV or MUV than hatch and even it is comfortable.  

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 Engine is better and too fuel efficient and gearbox too.Cause there was a Polo Highline AT like Vento. 

Ride Quality & Handling

 ALL GOOD.

Final Words

 Volkswagen s' 1st hatch,has a big boot of 294 Litres,Jazz and i20 get bigger boot , Jazz-369 litres and i20-295 litres. Even Fabia -300 litres. But all,except i20 have a beige cabin,(the Jazz X has blue-black scheme).1st VW Polo 2nd Hyundai i20 3rd Honda Jazz 4th Skoda Fabia

My first drive was really a long drive... from delhi to surat. n did enjoyed it a lot. As most of the time i was driving through highway (although at speeds more than 80 kmph) i got 15.9 kmpl on average. 

 

Exterior Overall looks and especially the paint quality is quiet good. I love its rear styling and strong lines on the sides.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Dash in night is candy to watch with blue face plate & orange backlit buttons. Cubby holes seems to be nicely designed.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gearbox is top notch and engine does perform fairly well. Fuel economy is quiet good for a 1.2 L engine. Performance is not as good as new Swift K series engine although you will not feel bad about that and would enjoy to leave others behind on highway with ease.😊 Good news... does not vibrate like swift at 140 kmph.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Very good at high speeds, might disappoint you in bumper to bumper traffic due to its low clutch. Big side rear view mirrors is a great help at times but internal RVM is a disappointment.

 

Final Words Just go for it. 'll not disappoint you.

Final Words Must try. VW is new but brand value is there. Looks are killing better than any other car in this segment. fuel economy is good. Go for POLO Diesel. And it has really good pickup as well. Fuel economy in diesel model... 20 km/lt for sureless spacious ... but manageable

WHY every time I take my 2 year old Polo Diesel Trendline (13k km running) car to VW service station in Delhi, I am being informed that EITHER this spare part OR that need replacement? THE ONLY REASON I purchased a German Brand with a "Premium Price Tag" was that my overall running costs will be low, but IRONICALLY and SADLY, everytime post servicing of my car at a VW company service station, I am being informed that some MASSIVELY OVERPRICED spare part has to be replaced, and that spare part is NOT covered under warranty!

I am NOT sure whether VW donot has that much control over VW Service Stations and that the VW service station guys are at the real fault, and the quality of the VW product is actually genuine. ALL I KNOW is that being a married person, I refrain from taking risks and pay for the overpriced spares every single time. As a personal observation I am posting this as my review on CarWale and would welcome any such more observations.

We PAY for Premium Price so that we get Durabilit (of spare parts also), BUT DESPITE paying that PREMIUM tag, if I am still having to pay more on running costs, than I would rather prefer to GO BACK to some other Brand.

Short on Spece, specially in the back. Still I find it comfortable bcoz of its ride quality.

 Engine performance is good, not as good as marutis (K12, DDIS) engines. so ppl looking for performance oriented car, will be disappointed.

But. ride and handling package makes it almost there. I also own a wagonr and I had driven almost 6 yrs. though its brilliant car.. does have good handling or ride.. and I guess you need these two things always. either u driving to office or on highways. and missed these things in my wagonr very much.

For me car should be felt tough, should have good ride, sharp handling for daily driving. actually when u have these factors in ur car .. then u dont care. but if ur car doesnt have all this then u miss. I have learnt this from my 17 yrs of driving experience.

Brilliant car. Buy without thinking twice.

Even the servicing is very bad, they promise you to take/drive the vehicle for 1 year/15000 Km, and then come for servicing, meantime something goes wrong no one will look into it and will say come after 1 year only.

I have very bad experience and I suggest you all not to go with Volkswagen as the parts are 200% to 400% extra price then Maruti Motors.

Clutch plates and assembly Kit is very weak and even some defects are still exist.I ran only for 10,000 KM and while went for servicing they said I need to replace clutch es and assembly kit which will coast you 40,000/- (Now..i.e. May-5-14.) Even the servicing is very bad, they promise you to take/drive the vehicle for 1 year/15000 Km, and then come for servicing, meantime something goes wrong no one will look into it and will say come after 1 year only.
