Exterior Very Good, Infact there is no comparison with other hatchbacks. Full marks for exterior looks as far as I am conserned.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Quality of interiors is very good as compared to Maruti brand cars and Tatas. Driving seat is firm and very comfortable. Adjutable Steering Feature even in basic model is very useful, specially for long drives. Dashboard display has all the basic features displayed like clock, distance to empty, fuel guage, tripmeter, door ajar warning, etc ...all in digital form.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gears are very-very smooth. Reverse gear can be engaged only by keeping the gear knob slightly pressed down while shifting it to extreme left & forward. There is no chance of engaging reverse gear by mistake when the car is moving.
Engine gives diesel cluter initially, specially in lower gears. However, their is hardly any noice after the engine is warmed up and you shift to 4-5 gear. The car accelerate smoothly. However, acceleration is slightly lower as compared to Swift , specially in 5th gear if the speed is 60 kmph or lower. Infact you have to shift to 4th if driving below 55 kmph. It accecelates well above 70 kmph. But that is ok for normal driving. In city driving you have to drive mostly in 2-3 gear and on highway, speed is normally above 70. So, it is not a big drawback.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent. There is no comparison with Swift, Dzire, Indica and Huyndai. You don't realise that you are driving at 100 kmph till U see the speedo. Suspension and shocker system is too good. You don't get the shocks even on rough roads. Noice insulation is very good as compared to Swift and most of the other cars.
There is no ratalling noice or tyre noice in the car. Also, the steering is very light and comfortable.
I am getting around +20 kmpl with city+ highway driving with AC on for 80 to 90 % time. The car has done 2370 km in the last 2 months.
Final Words Buy it if you want a quality product and are willing to pay more for the same.

Exterior
The Volkswagen Polo is by far the best looking hatchback in India! This handsome looking car is as sturdy as an Ox and an absolute pleasure to drive on the highway.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
The interiors look excellent with the black & beige color theme and the instrument panel is also very neatly done. Plenty of boot space. The only drawback is cramped rear space.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
The engine is not very peppy in the city and at low speeds. Although it is totally a different feeling when u take it out on the highway. You never get the diesel engine feeling!
Fuel economy in the city (Chennai) is approx 15 kmpl and 20 kmpl on the highway.
Gearbox i would say is just average, nothing to brag about. This is very obvious especially if you have made your transition from a petrol car to a diesel vehicle recently.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride quality & handling is excellent.
Final Words
Quality comes @ a price. Go for the VW Polo if your willing to pay for the quality.
Areas of improvement
Some of the basic features like all 4 power windows, boot light, etc should be made available with the basic (diesel - considering the cost).
Exterior looks, Mileage, VW Brand, Gr8 build and sturdiness.Lack of features (when compared to competitors), cramped rear space.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine perfomance is the best factor in this car.. totally awesome pickup and can say i have reached to speed 200 without any wobbling sound or shakyness of car., fuel econoy is good, company promises of 22.07 kmpl i tested it and without AC it give 21 which is best in its class and with AC it give 18-19 in economy mode and at speed of 100-120 and lil rash driving it come to 16-17 kmpl. Gear box is also designed to its best feature
Ride Quality & Handling Ride is just too good in its class and has better suspension.
Final Words Fully upto my expectation. as I needed it.
Areas of improvement Music player is the not having USB and AUX, Front winshield gets foggy drinng rainy season and need to drive cautiously.

Exterior Can not complain, reasonably good exteriors.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) No space for 3 passengers on back seat, driver seat not made for tall drivers. I do not favor wasting my money on stupid accessories (that do not add any value for me), accessories provided by VW are generally not Stupid (like in Hyundai cars), and are generally useful.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Start developing faults on Indian roads after a few hundred kilometers of running. Skoda/Toyota are far better localized for Indian roads. Diesel engine is NOT smooth and make noises like some old Tata Indica car.
Ride Quality & Handling Not too good, not too bad as well.
Final Words Overpriced and Hyped car, not that Durable and Reliable, as its German Brand Name suggests.
Areas of improvement Durability and reliability, I DONOT want to pay everytime for spare parts replacement to Service Station guys, whenever I take my car for a service.

Exterior Excellent looks. VW badge adds lot of value. Great color (I took Red and the Red on POLO looks much better the Red on other hatch back cars.). Strong built body, I feel it everytime I open and close the doors :).
I love the black color plastic piece between the doors which comes with the car. In many other cars it comes with body color and to get that sporty and edgy look we need to get it done as part of accessories. Anti corrossion paint layer under the body comes from the factory it self, we don't need to get it done for extra money like Maruti cars. This is a very important and thoughtful feature for Indian roads.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Superior when compared to cars in this class. Great quality and we get a double tone colored interiors right from the Trendline model.
Extremely good power steering. We can actually handle with two fingers. Feels so effortless while driving and manuevering in city traffic and a delight on highways. Excellent control and comfort while turning. Precision is high. Steering's telescopic and tilt adjustment feature comes from Trendline model itself, again unlike many other cars in this class. Excellent grip offered by the steering. There is actually no need of the steering cover accessory.
Spacious rear seat and it is very ergonomically designed. I observed that even when I come to zero speed from around 40 kmph in 2 seconds, people sitting in the rear don't really know it. They are properly rested. Height adjustable head rests on the rear seat feature starts from Trendline itself.
Front two doors have power windows. Unlike many other cars this feature is offered right from Trendline. I know Skoda Fabia's base variant does not offer powwer windows. We need to spend another 50K and move to the next variant to get power windows.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good. But some might feel it little noisy from 0-40 kmpl. But after 40 it is just awesome. The gear box is awesome, feels like butter.. 😊.
When car was new, it was little hard for the reverse gear, but it was just the new car thing, after couple of days, it got smoothened and I love the pull it has for the reverse gear. We don't need to give accelerator even when there is a little gradient on the reverse movement. Extremely spacious boot space.
Ride Quality & Handling I am so happy for buying Polo after test driving, researching on many cars in this class just for the "Ride quality" It is just AWESOME!!! We don't feel tired at all even when we are driving in the city traffic. I am just flat for this 😊. I drive about 50 km per day and I don't feel tired at all. This is exactly where I feel it is a good value for money. I got all these with complete accessories for Rs. 6.9 L. On the other hand, my earlier preference Swift has very few features, space is less, boot space doest not exist almost, ride quality is not great, interiros are mediocre and Maruti being very stubborn on prices. It is just the hype, in my opinion, that they want to cash, no offers, no accessories provided and no good care for potential buyers.
Final Words I drove 2500 KM so far. I am very happy with my choice. 3 more people bought it with my experience. It is giving me 15.5 kmpl mileage now. I feel this is the only feature on which it has to take back seat in comparison with other cars in this class. But that is very well compensated with marvellos ride quality, and comfort.
Areas of improvement Mileage is what it has to omprove. And a very important thing that VW has to quickly do, to make it the best choice, is to have an optional accessory of Remote central lock. It has a manual central lock. But remote comes only for Highline now which is factory fitted. And VW does not approve Auto cops or some other accessory. The car is digital and we would be interfering with its main funtions if we get it done outside. This is one serious drawback in my opinion.

Final Words I have driven this car for 40, 000 Kms and didn't feel any kind of discomfort. My longest one time drive on this car is of 650 Kms and it was a good experience. The service and spares are costly but the service is after 15K Kms so doesn't matter much.
Areas of improvement The company has already worked on the ground clearance thing and the new models are equipped with 15'' tyres which increases the ground clearance by 1'' as compared to the old cars. The spares has to be valued a little less in order to make this car a perfect hit in Indian Market.

Exterior Very good - nice look.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are not so great. leg space in all the seats- very crunchy- literally you have to push inside the seat. If you redesign the height of the vehicle it would be great . Lots of dust gets inside the car from the door as it does not have air tightness. It is A BIG HEAD FOR ME BECAUSE IS YOU TRAVEL IN MUDDY OR DUSTY ROADS (Indian Roads) by the time you rteach your destimnation you feel like you travelled in a bullockcart. (Company Design Team Can Do Some thing about it).
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Egine is bit noisy in the initial stages. Fuel economy - average - OK Type NOT A GREAT PERFORMANCE.
Ride Quality & Handling Nice and overall it is good.
Final Words A good Car - excepty in the some of features mentioned above - LIKE DUST FACTOR - and LEG SPACE.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The plastic feels cheap, and its very basic
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is good with good pick upand easy to handle in traffic as well. The fuel economy in city is close to 10 and on the highway give about 14 the gear box is smooth. The car intially was a little stiff but after crossing 12000kms it has got much smoother. The car really handles well at high speeds as well. At 140 km/ph also no vibrations are felt.
Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is excellent compared to an i20 or so i have driven it just a little above 20000 kms in almost 2 years and handles well the response is good too..
Final Words In the small if your looking for a premium car with a budget of about 7 lakhs and want a good drive , sturdy car then this is the one.

Exterior Very good exteriors, nice shape and design, from the front it looks like a perfect luxury sedan car. loos are like luxury hatchback. the first appearance from outisde gives a great feel. the backlight design resembles BMW. The electronic meters for calculating milegae etc is helpful.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Seating space is less especially in the rear, no leg room at all for avg 5'7" tall person. Boot space is good. Dashboard looks good and stylish. But overall, when seated inside, the space issue is there. it is conpact spaced car.

Exteriors Good styling and design. A good balanced proportions of parts.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excllnt and neatly arranged. Rear seat comfort is good. Tall persons may have issues. Loaded with features. The dash looks cool. The music system comes with usb hub which is a bonus compared to other cars in this segments mid variant. The glove box is also spacious. The controls for turn indicators and wipers are unique.Has fog lamps for front and rear. Can feel the difference to other cars in the ride quality. The side view mirrors are also electrically controlled. Feels good tough and secure inside.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Ride quality is superb and after drivingthe figo, I can say polo is good drivers car. The brakin is of superiir quality.
Areas of improvement Can do better on service network. Rear seat spacin can be mproved. So far so good. As i hv driven only few hundred kms. Gearbox is quiet smooth. Good for city. Engine sound a little loud. For me, the initial roar on strtin the car seems nice to hear.
