I own a Polo car, which met with an accident, damaging the car bottom/ oil sump. The car was handed over to Abra motors. Abra Motors, Chennai surveyed the car on 24.01.2014 and informed that the oil sump had a crack and it has to be replaced. Insurance surveyor inspected on the same day and approved the value of about INR 26,500, against INR about 48,000 raised by the dealer. Mr. Muthuvel Murugan of Abra Motors informed that the car will be made ready on 31st January. When I enquired on 31st January, he informed that there were damages in the engine and therefore the parts value of about INR 3,45,000 has to be replaced. I was shocked and surprised and enquired in detail. He mentioned that oil pressure was low and hence the bearing has scoring marks and therefore he is suspecting that the crankshaft and the related parts must have been damaged.  When I asked that there was no low oil indication in the car which is supposed to warn, he explained that the low oil indication is not oil level, it is low oil pressure and it will not appear, if there is slight pressure. I again clarified with him that, if there is no pressure warning, then it must supply oil to the critical parts for which he mentioned that the low oil indication must have come when the incident happened. I mentioned to him that no oil indication warning appeared and I also confirmed him that if there was no indication at the time of handing over the car on 24.01.2014. He has no technical reason to clarify my doubt. Hence, I requested him to coordinate with the insurance and convince them to accept the engine related damages due to the accident.  After rigorously following with Abra Motors daily, 7.02.2014 they informed that insurance denied to approve the engine damages and they mentioned that we need to pay about INR  65,000 for rectifying the engine, besides the insurance approval on the oil sump parts.  I mentioned to him that I am totally dissatisfied to pay any amount when I have invested on the Volkswagen the costliest car in the market along with extended warranty payment and also having Insurance covering bumper to bumper through the policy referred above.   He replied that I have the following three options: 1. Rectify the car as per the insurance approval on oil sump parts and pay about INR 6,900 for oil etc.,Muthuvel  Murugan informed that Abra Motors does not recommend this , as the engine might seize at any time. 2. Rectify the car as per the insurance approval on oil sump parts and pay about INR 24,000 for oil seal, oil etc.,. This is not safe but ok to use the car. 3. Rectify the car as per the insurance approval on oil sump parts and pay about INR 65,000 for bearings, oil seal,oil, etc.,. This is recommended. I have now confirmed to Abro Motors/ Mr. Muthuvel Muruganto rectify the car as per point 2 recommendations and informed him that I will be making a complaint to you on this cost of INR 24,000.    I am not convinced on the above recommendations, since the accident should be covered either by insurance or by extended warranty scheme.  Moreover if the engine bearings and other parts are getting damaged without oil indication warning then it is design fault by Volkswagen.   With all the above additional payment for full car insurance and warranty, why I should bear additional cost for rectification charges?       Car is goodWorst Service by abro motors in chennai

Exterior Good build quality and stylish, Comparing polo with any other car is its insult.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Necessary feautures are there, The switches are of good quality, The Steering is tilt and telescopic adjustable. The doors close with a thud. Every thing is so premium that even after four years they do not look old.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very good and superior. After doing 76500 km, polo needed just four services. The pickup is awesome. I am glad to say that engine is improving with mileage.

Ride Quality & Handling Awesome. It feels planted even at 160km/hr. You can drive  it at 150 km/hr without your hands on steering. The braking is very good and there is no body roll over.

Final Words The car is excellent. I bought it four years ago and i have no regrets.

Areas of improvement The rear legroom needs to be improved. The headroom also needs some improvement.

The engine is just like new till now, the build quality is awesome, very stable at high speedSpace at rear

Exterior Good look. Nice cabin, average space only 4 persons can fit.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) NoiSy engine  pickup low we have to change the gear frequently in city limits. Excellent good road grip sails in highways. 

Final Words My polo tends to remain in constant speed even after releasing accelerator pedal only now and y them moves about 2/3 Kim's  speed reduces only after applying brakes unlike by releasing accelatrator pedal if anybody is facing similar experience please contact 9480XXXXXX.

Even after several visit to service centre they have been not able to rectify it to my satisfaction and now I am scared to drive in city limits in the long run absolutely no problem. They claim it's a feature of the car I don't think so  I have purchased the car in February 2013 and worried about safety of  life and my polo, in the long runi it's smooth and we don't feel like it's a Diesel engine

Im Daily driven around 20-25 KM. Before bying GT TSI im drive my friends Jetta 1.4 TSI its really amazing and that the reson i like TSI engines that very fun to drive and 1.2 Heart gives perfect power across with perfect milage to the DSG just crazy on highways and traffics roads. Volksvagen keep there quality each of the parts both Exterior and Interior. plastic quality vere well They build a perfect hot hatch for who loves daily drive as fun. One more reson to buy Volksvagen car is there yearly service intervell and petrol engines maintence is pocket friendly. There are some Cons about this cars is No Navigation System Leg space and seating position for long jurney is bit problem

Where do I start? This was my first car ever and I am totally satisfied with this. 1)This car is a German beauty. 2)The Engine is best in class and far superior than its competitors. 3) Handling and steering never gave me any problems. 4)Safety features and build is on point. 5)Mileage is the only problem I faced (I am a student) P.S. Avg Mileage is 10-14 km/l in city

Exterior I am using the POLO petrol version since more than a year. I am quite satisfied withg the performance.Exterior look is good.Little probelm in right whiper movement.(It touches the body)Tyre is broad & road grip is very good.Safe in highway driving. 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is attractive with contract combination of desk board.Only negative aspect is very less leg space creates inconvenience to back seaters.U can not travel at longer distance with more number of small kids due this space constraint. Otherwise once u enter in the car u will feel comfort like anything.Nothing negative execpt leg space.  

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engineen is fine.Due to 3 cylinder u will feel some sound at the time of starting but after that it is very smooth & clam.Average is around 20 kmpl on high ways.gear box is liittle bit hard as compared to Maruti & Hundai but very good in look. Gear changing is also very smooth.It is too early to say but engine perfromace is good. "Service" duration seems to long of  1 year or at 15000 kms which is earlier as recommnended by manufacturer.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is too good.Once u ride VW car u will not like any other car of Maruti, Hundai, Tata etc.U will feel the differnce in riding this german car.

Final Words Considering all other cars in this hatchback segment,with this price POLO is one of the best car whom we can prefer.I will always go gor VW car in future also.

Areas of improvement Quality & standard of Service station  is not up to the mark.Needs to improve.

Gd.average,stylish,different & sturdy look,Value for moneyLeg space is very less in back seat,height is little less as compared to other small cars .

Final Words

 Today on the first day of Navratra, i booked for myself a Brand new VW Tdi comfortline and for that i am very much exited. We the entire family are eagerly waiting for that day when we will ultimately get the keys in our hands. Happy Navratras. JAI MAA VAISHNO DEVI

Areas of improvement  

 It is a complete package but the price of the car should be taken care of. It is little expensive. More dealership network should come up at B and C tier cities where servies should be easily available.
