Hello Carlovers,
This is not exactly a car review but since I have had no joy from Toyota Customer's Service in Bangalore - all they did is issue me with a complaint ticket number and never came back to me (now 8 months later!).
I have owned Toyota cars (Innova and Corolla) more or less eversince Toyota started selling cars in India. Over the years, both my Innova's and both my Corolla's have been serviced regularly with the Infinium Motors, who are the ONE and ONLY Toyota Dealer in Ahmedabad. Over the years all FOUR cars have had to be sent in specially for replacement of brake pads. NEVER in my experience has Infinium Motors replaced them as part of the service. It gets WORSE, and each time when we send in the car to get the pad replaced they have come back to us with the information that not only the brake pads but also the dics have need to be replaced as they have been worn down by used up brake pads. This is logical but what bothers me that first Infinium Motors, seems to have deliberate policy of either not checking the condition of brake pads as part of the routine service OR they simply ignore them for pads to completed wear out and damage the disc brakes since replacing the discs costs around 7-9K while replacing the brake pads usually a tenth of that amount.
Given the Toyota prides itself on quality and reliability of their products, and is justly famous it it, Infinium Motors is doing it no favours by operating this mean and underhanded scam to generate revenues/profits. This is what happens when you allow a monopoly of one dealer in a city as large as Ahmedbad. So what am going to do? Well buy a Honda and Skoda and hope their dealer are more professional and honest
