This is fair Tata Tiago xza model, as I have owned this car from past 6 months and just got my second service done. The review will be given in 5 parts. 1. buying experience 2. Riding experience 3. Details about looks, and performance 4. Service and maintenance 5. Pros and cons 1. Buying experience As I was looking to buy a new car, I made a list, the list included Hyundai i10, swift, honda amaze, Tata Tigor and Mahindra kuv100. I wanted an automatic car and Mahindra doesn't have an automatic version of kuv100 so it was out of list, then i10 was out of list because it had only 4 speed automatic, Honda Amaze and swift was bit costly. We settled down for Tigor, it is a very nice car. We called the Tata showroom and they brought Tiago instead of Tigor, so we decided to settle down on Tiago instead of Tigor. It was nice driving around and we booked the car. They helped in finance to everything and we got the car in 10 days. 2. Riding experience In test drive you don't know how well the car will perform once bought, so we took the delivery of car and rode it all the way back to my house in city mode, automatic shift was late and I could feel it. It was a weird sensation, and it felt like it had no juice in it. Now I have driven it around 3700 km and I no longer feel uncomfortable with the city mode. While driving it around 3700 Km I have observed the following things. 1. I can trust on car as I did Himachal to Delhi and Delhi to Himachal without any Stop. 2. I have had hard time maintaining the speed as it is an automatic vehicle, I have felt that it is hard to maintain the same speed limit as you will not know when you crossed 90. 3. To much cabin notice, you hear road and engine. 4. Best speakers, I love the speakers. 5. Radio doesn't work on Highways as you hear to much sssssss on Highways. 6. I felt every single bump of road all the way to Himachal. 7. My wheel alignment was off just after 1000 km and it was in Delhi just before I took it to Himachal, I noticed it after my first service. 8. Handling is fair. 9. I love the car when it is in sports mode, have not driving a lot in it. 10. You can't change gears in Manuel mode under 1500 RPM. 3. Details about looks, performance. I have bought espresso brown colour and it looks really bad when the car is dirty, and In Himachal I noticed that my back side of the car was attracting to much dirt. So I need to clean the car everyday. Performance It is okish performance as it is 1.2 litres engine, I felt it struggling while overtaking trucks on hills, But it is pretty good in its class. I would like to point out that I am getting 8 KMPH mileage in city and when the roads are good 15 KMPH in city. On highway, I got the mileage of 18 KMPH as I was going in 110 KMPH in Rajasthan. in Delhi to Himachal trip, I got mileage of 15kmph so it is not that good. Service and maintenance To much cheap plastic parts are used, once I touched the back number plate light and it feel of. some of the part from Interior has gaps in it, specially the dashboard. I have got my car second service, you can book it on phone and they will come pick you car up and return it clean and fress. Pros 1. Nice car for such a price. 2. Good sitting position 3. Decent comfort. 4. Nice steering. 5. Awesome speakers. 7. Decent infotainment system. 8. Nice heater and decent A/C. 9. Enough space. 10. Decent legroom. 11. Nice glove box. 12. Controls on steering Cons 1. To much engine noise. 2. To much cabin noise. 3. To much road noise. 4. Low mileage. 5. Sluggish automatic transmission. 6. Poor plastic quality.
