I am a proud owner of Tata Tiago XZ and very happy with my decission of chosing it over Kwid especially the pricing is almost same with +/-50K and we get very good build quality in Tiago compared to Kwid which suffers from cost cutting and poor build. I have driven car now for 2,500KM with absolutely no issues everything in the car is really good and of superior quality. It's the best value for money car :)

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox When on AC the performance drops that's the only downside other than that all is good; Fuel Economy could be improved as on an avg I get 16 to 17 KMPL.

A problem occur in my newly purchased tata tiago car on 28th June from Active automobiles Ahmadabad, from day one i am facing a problem in my Air condition driver side vent.
The problem is when i am trying to move slightly air condition cooling knob towards high to low the driver side vent starts throwing hot air immediately, while all other vents keep throwing cool air. Other vent starts throwing hot air after entering in red line and crossing blue line which is correct.
Although i am moving my air conditioning control knob high to low very slightly on blue guage on dial and the knob status only covers only half distance on blue gauge the driver side blower starts throwing hot air. So I visited the service center for this problem and they told that "Every Tiago has this problem in air conditioning and service center has no solution.
After sending my query to customer support menager I was informed that there is no fault in my car it is due to a feature/sensor which is not present in my car, But i am still in puzzle that why there is no sensor /feature is not there only in my driver side air conditioner vent how ever the other vets works fine , so it is not a symptomp or feature it is clearly a fault. SO Again i mailed to tata company to check for this fault but they havent replied me or take any actions yet ,this shows company's attitude towards its customers.
Even after buying a new car i have to drive a car which has faulty air condition.Currently i am in a situation in which i cant reduce the cooling of my air condition i have to drive my car with full air condition on which eats up my car pickup as well as fuel economy also because at the moment i touch the dial, the driver side vent starts throwing hot air.
I request you all to check this fault before buying this car.

Exterior TATA have come way forward from the indica days and the design is really great.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Fully Loaded.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Lags in Automatic, But Good aluminum engine only con is 3 cylinder engine which makes lot of noise and TATA also needs to work a lot to reduce the Noise inside cabin while sorting out associated NVH Issues.
Ride Quality & Handling Not so great but Ok as per price.
Final Words Though TATA Motors Have done fabulous job improving the quality of product but they still needs to work a lot on thier dealer front. No wonder they are not able to sell the kind of number they can achieve with this car, I had asked for Test drive of an Automatic Car from AYRA Motors Delhi, But, I was taken a back by the careless attitude of the dealer, As if I am dying for buying this car and they are doing me a favor for offering me test drive, There's no committment or value for others time. I would have Bought the car only 2nd day, as test drive was just a formality, But, the dealer thought that by selling car they are making favors to customers. So, I cancelled the test drive watching thier attitude. My Only feedback is, just compare yourelf to Maruti dealers or any other car dealers except for Mahindra.
Just with thier arrogance the dealer lost an all cash customer waiting with money in hand to buy car. At the same time, putting question mark on the TATA brand as well for thier further comittment to customer care and after sales if this is the situation before buying car. And, then the dealers crib infront of their area managers that they are unable to achieve sales targets. While, As manufacturer TATA is putting loads of effort its thier looser dealer partners which are pulling them down.
Areas of improvement Human Touch and customer handelling at dealer sales front along with minor improvement in NVH department.

Final Words CAR HAS ROUGH IDLING DURING FIRST START IN THE MORNING OR WHEN AFTER 3-4 HOURS, REPEATED COMPLAINTS TO DEALER AND TO TATA CUST. SUPP. YEILDED NO RESULT. MAKES PUFFING NOISE WHEN ACCELERATING AND SWITCHING OFF. SOUNDS HORRIBLE IF ONE RUNS AC WHILE IDLING. IT IS ACTUALLY AN EMBARASSMENT AND A RIP OFF. SUPENSION TOO NEEDS TO BE WORKED OUT. GEAR SHIFT IS NOISY AND ROUGH. (OUR JOHN DEERE TRACTOR IS SMOOTHER ). IT SO SEVERELY LACKS POWER AT LOWER END, GETTING IT TO MOVE FROM STAND STILL IS A PAIN. YOU JUST CANNOT START AND GO AWAY. EVEN WHILE DRIVING IN CITY BETWEEN 30-45 ONE CAN FEEL POWER FLUCTUATIONS.
WINDSHIELD IS OF LOW QUALITY AND IF YOU ARE USING SPECTACLES THEN YOU WILL FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE. MOVE YOUR HEAD SIDEWAYS AND UP-DOWN AND YOU CAN SEE THE WAVERING VISION.
WORST IS NO ONE LISTENS NEITHER DEALER NOR TATA. I HAD SUBMITTED 20 VIDEOS OF CA SHOWING ROUGH IDLING, CAN YOU IMAGINE THEY DID NOT EVEN SEE IT. EVEN TATA CS EXEC ASHISH SHAH REFUSED TO SEE.
I AM GOING TO PAINT THIS CAR WITH SLOGANS TELLING PEOPLE NOT TO BUY AND RUN IT AROUND.
JUST WAIT FEW MORE WEEKS AND I WILL POST PICS AND VIDEOS. JUST DO NOT BUY.

Exterior Attractive design. I did liked the headlamps. It comes with a rear spoiler.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space and comfort in this class is above average. Space is good even at rear seats. Music system is excellent in top end model.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Not sure about mileage. Petrol engine is noisy and sound can be heard inside cabin even at low speeds. Diesel engine is pathetic in terms of vibration transfer to cabin while starting and stopping. Else both are smooth while riding. Found delay in 2nd gear pickup in diesel engine.
Ride Quality & Handling One of best in class. one must have a test drive to feel it.
Final Words: Overall value for money. But think of engines while buying, I would prefer petrol engine. Rest everything is good. Good buy XM model if one can compromise on noise and vibration.
Areas of improvement : Noise should be reduced for petrol engine. Diesel engine vibration should not be transferred to cabin at all while cranking. Basic model AC should be added.

Ride Quality & Handling It is average. Not in the same league as Hyundai or Honda but decent enough.
Final Words The car is fine and is value for money. BUT believe me that their after sales SUCKS, SUCKS and SUCKS big time.
Tata is used to servicing Cab and Truck drivers. They dont have the capability to service passenger car owners. When I took the new car delivery I discovered the same day that the AC vent fin was broken and the alignment was totally out. Nobody had inspected the car before delivering. After numerous phone calls, they took the car from home only to return it after a car wash. They had not fixed the problems. Moreover, the guy who delivered the car drove the car around for 30 KMs to cover a route of 10 KMs completing his personal errands.
Anyway, I then waited for the problems to be addressed in the first service. I decided to take the car to the service center myself to avoid the possibility of any misuse by their drivers.
But it has been a horrible experience at the Mohan Cooperative Company owned Tata Concorde service center. They noted my car number and asked me to wait. I waited for 1 full hour but nobody came. I then called the advisor and then he politely asked me to come to the parked car. He then assured me that he will try to get the process expedited. I went back to the waiting lounge. When I went back outside after another full hour of wait, I went back outside and found that no one had even touched the car :(
I have been a Honda owner. When deciding to buy a new car something came over me. I thought why not buy an Indian car and Tiago looked like value for money. Unfortunately, the money saved in buying Tiago compared to a Honda or Hyundai is not worth it. The interactions with their staff makes you feel like a Cab driver. They dont give a damn about the problems in the car or about your time.
When you buy a car you are not just buying a car. You are also buying into their after sales service. If you are fine with third grade treatment by their service staff, go ahead and buy a Tata.

Looks are ok. Pickup is very very poor specially in hill areas. I am saying it with my own experience but also when ever I go for service of this car other customers have same issue of low pickup. Which is the worst thing to feel. Now I am planning to sale this car. Better to buy Hyundai or Maruti cars.

There are many intelligent features like, while its raining, if you put in reverse gear, the back wiper will automatically get switched on.(Since the front wiper is engaged). There is a small hook near the passgenger seat to hold plastic covers without spilling contents. There is a small light in the boot space for convineance at night. The interior light is placed convinently so that any one can turm on them effortlessly. Follow me headlamps are a nice addition to people living in flats. There are lot many small handy features bundled throughtout the car.
