      I bought the 2020 Nexon petrol with lot of expectation. Many of my friends advised me to stay away from tata cars and now I repent. The car looks good and is very stable in ride, however, there are several quality issues. At the outset itself, there was an alignment issue with the left side doors. It was fixed only at second service. After a few hundred kilometres the steering developed high vibration whenever the fan is running. Still pending for replacement. Then the engine oil started leaking. And to my horror, the body panel of the 10-month-old car started rusting near the doorknob area in all four doors. The service centre was very friendly, but Despite requesting for a full door replacement, the TATA superiors just gave instruction for a repaint of the affected area. Now I am left praying that the rust may not return after the warranty period, then I may have to shell out huge amount to replace all the doors. It is pathetic. Don't buy and stay away.

      Had a positive buying experience at showroom. The follow ups were consistent but had issues with accessories availability. The car feels very sturdy on highways and cruises like a plane. The handling and build quality inspires confidence in your drive. The problems start while driving in city traffic especially bumper to bumper conditions. The gear upshifts from 1 to 2 or 2 to 3 are highly inconsistent. Some times they shift correctly and other times it end up revving the car far too much which can cause significant damage to the engine. I have seen the AMT remain in 1st gear at 25kmph or 2nd gear till 45kmph far too often as if it forgot to shift gears. Trying to switch to manual in such situations is also not helpful as some times you end up in 1st gear after switching to manual mode which causes even more rise in RPM. Had opted for AMT specifically due to Bangalore traffic conditions but looks like this is going to add more to my headache. As for everything else, it definitely feels one of the better Made in India cars. You can buy the Nexon with full confidence but please avoid AMT.

      4. Driven 37000 kms, engine oil injector broken and cylinder, bore damaged. Very poor factor of safety for engine parts maintained. Quotation of Rs.146000 given by service team to replace engine parts. No response from TATA Motors.

      I bought this car with a lot of expectations. Initially, all worked out well - Good ride quality, Good Comfort and Good performance. But once I crossed 40K km, I started facing trouble. The first problem I experienced was with Electrical systems. Most Fuses would be blown away for no reason. Then the dreadful thing happened. Coolant system stopped working. Without an apparent leak, coolant tank would often run out of fluid. I was told by the Tata dealership that the Head Gasket is blown. Then I was told that EGR cooler is also gone. I had to shell out a big amount for repairs. After 20 days, my Gearbox was jammed. Even today my car is with the dealership for repairs. To sum it up, I feel Tata cars aren't reliable on the long term basis even today. Cost of ownership will inflate once you cross 40-50 k Kms. I regret having bought this car.

      I don't know what is wrong with the car, today is the third time it has stopped shifting gears. We have to tow for the third time in a span of 3 6 months. I was so proud while buying like made in India car and all. But now I regret this. So many said don't but tata cars, they are not reliable. But I insisted. Now I am regretting big time. Every time I start I will be worried whether this will start or not. Worst car. Please avoid this car at any cost. Better avoid tata cars. They re not reliable. You will be in the middle of the road with your family most of the time. The hell with this. I have video proofs and service proofs. Have sent Instagrammed them as well. Letz sees what they gonna do.

      Probably the most imperfect car ever. Nobody checked it before it was passed for sale. Within 6 months the driver side window glass stopped working, doors have not been fitted and aligned properly. At high speeds, you hear loud air noise as if one of the windows is open. Sunroof works only 50% of the time. Headlamps are probably worst in the industry, totally useless. What adds to your frustration is, TATA service centers and employees are not equipped to solve any of these problems. All they have to say is, "Sir this is a manufacturing defect, what can we do?". There is no symmetry on the inside or outside body of the car, you might find a door, a plastic piece, outer linings few inches down/up if you compare both sides. I assure you, more often than not, you will find yourself regretting for not going with a car from more seasoned carmakers like Ford/Kia/Hyundai. That 5 star safety rating would be meaningless once you get to know the number of issues in your car. There are a few pros too, its powerful, spacious, high ground clearance, but all and all, you expect much better when you are paying 10 Lakh rupees. I have used Ecosport for around 4 years now, and in that much time, I haven't faced as many issues as I faced in Nexon within first 6 months.

      I bought the xm diesel in march -2018.from that onwards I faced a lot of issues regarding their service. Three times i faced ac complaints but they charged always 3500 in every time. But still the problem is continuing. Now my car crossing 25000km. What are the problems are faced up to till date I clearly explaining 1, repeated ac problems. Problem is not resolved. 2.very poor paint quality. Previously i used Maruthi car am not facing these issues. In bonnet side in corner end near in glass side. It is rusted. reg this am asking the service manager. He said u should use pure water.i really disappointed. I maintained neat and clean in my car always. Every tiny maintenance I did showroom only. I really upset that the service manager gives the cheapest answer. 3.then finally i decided to plan another new car. When i going to sell this car. The party asking very cheapest price. If I sell this car for foreclosing purpose i need to pay extra 1laks. So it is a high loss. 4.then crossing 2years now car 25000km. On the date nov-2-2020 while am driving the car, some noise found from the engine side. So suddenly i take off my car in near showroom in Tuticorin, susee auto pvt ltd. They said noise came from engine side we should dismantle this then only we give the estimation. while am buying this car i added additionally extended warranty. So I asking for claimed they said we send the quotation for approval. So he said to wait for some days. Now one week crossing one week. Still pending. Then they said, we try our best for a free claim. Then i shocked, am asking them, boss, I have an additional warranty then u said we will try. What is this and fighting with them up to till date. Complaints -crankshaft bearing damaged. The crankshaft is slightly worn out. So finally i request to all, don't buy tata product specially tata nexon xm diesel. Best go for Maruthi and Hyundai. Now am booking i20. So dont go for tata brand.

      Please don't book new car from Puneet Automobile Lucknow. They have no care for customer's feeling and promises. I booked a car but they didn't deliver the car on time and said it's cancelled.

      Worst car in my life. I newly purchased it on 30 Aug 21 and within a week the back sensor did not work. When we apply back gear irritating sound comes. Many times I mailed to their customer care and only e generated mail comes from their side. No call from their side. Totally wasted my hard earned money on that car. I suggest don't buy that car. No one is listening. No response. Please invest your hard earned money in some other company .

      It is a pretty car with fabulous segment-first features, the only thing which is embarrassing is the Dual Airbags in the upper variant also. When it's competitors like Ford Ecosport, Mahindra Xuv 300, Hyundai Venue, Honda Wrv are equipped with 6-7 airbags, then TATA Motors must have also the ability to ensure the same. When it will be equipped with 6-7 airbags.. I'm sure no one can outsell this SUV in the present era. Regards.
