Exterior Good job by the designers, though sometimes the pillar in front can pose a blind spot.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) A lot of space inside, love it!
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performance has been remarkable, fuel economy I would not comment. I don't do long drives that often and usual reading perday for me is 10-15 km.
Ride Quality & Handling It may get a bit bouncy because of the short length, you just have to drive in speed limits.
Final Words An awesom vehicle for someone who rides in the city more than he rides on highways.
Areas of improvement POWER STEERING especially when you find that parking spot ;).
Okay so I have been riding it for more than a year now. Service can definitely improve especially from Rama Motors in Okhla. They scuk big time. I was shown a vehicle with lighter concsole and fully functional. They pushed me a vehicle without the working lighter and would not install it when I complained about the missing piece. Infact they did not have it in spare. They DID NOT HAVE IT FOT TWO MONTHS. Either Tata does not want to work with them or its just the way Rama Motors works. Nothing could get them to put that lighter since I really needed it for the phone charger I got one done privately.
SO after dong some 14000km on it, I love it. It still amazes me when i step out of the truck and see a small tiny car. That's how roomy it is inside. I am also a cyclist and often carry one or two cycle in the back. Riders with me were surprised as even a swift or a santro could not carry two adult cycles.
City riding is a breeze and it is more like a 600 cc bike with a roof and an excellent air conditioning. I agree with those posts that say it should not be marketed as a cheap car. but an inexpensive car. Yes people like to boast about the price of their cars but I am a contended kind of guy. I find other makers now bleeding the buyers since a car can be made this inexpensive!
I have done outstation rides on it. and it is recommended to stop for atleast half an hour after every 250 km due to the small engine. Well I ride not more than 2 hours continuous anyways.
As for speeds, i have touched 100kmph but do prefer to stay within speed limits and already want to ask regulators in the government why they have speed limits for cars when the speedometer can go up to 200+kmph. Such cars should be declared illegal. When 80kmph is speed limit on highway why do they make cars/trucks that can go beyond it??
As for mileage i know people getting upto 26kmpl but since I am usually in traffic for my 10 km commute I manage with 15-17kmpl with the AC on.
The height is a great bonus since you know the traffic ahead better than the low vehicles. Turning sharp I have not tried at high speeds but have made few tire screeches now and then.
The best thing I love about it is ground clearance. When safari and mahindras are slowly tredging the Gurgaon roads due to potholes, this baby is taking it all in and gobbling the road. I would love to see the faces of those drivers riding SUVs but the car being so manuevrable is seldom stuck in traffic, and ofcourse being a Nano it always gets a go ahead from those big trucks who oblige since it seems so tiny.
If a person knows how to be contended and car is just a item of commute and not a status symbol, this is the car for him. For those who are in the spiral of consumerism they can surely go for Fiat 500, Mini or even the VW beetle.
Ground clearance, inside space, ease in trafficlack of power steering
