Indica Vista Aura Safire - Excellent Hatchbak from India

 

Exterior Perfect Aerodynamic, high positioned seating and good ground clearance.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very decent interiors from Indian maker - Kudos to TATAs comparing with other Euoropean car makers, better than Maruti. Very spacious at the back - comfort for 3 people with front seat fully moved back. very comforatble for long driving, including hill stations. Comfortable at 100-110kmph speed on highways - not more than that. AC is good, but not so powerful like Honda. No coin trays is disadvantage. Less boot space.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very low engine noise, powerful at high speed. Gives 13kmph in the city and close to 18 at highways. Gear shifting is quite comfortable, but not smoother like Maruti. No need to change gears quirte often at slow moving trafic. engine has higher torque so that you can be at 20kmph at 4th gear with out any gear box nosies, of course the pickup will be lower at 20kmph while at 4th gear. Well designed from FIAT technology. The main reason for good mileage is the above reason.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Maneouver is lighter, U Turns are better. Due to Hydraulic Power Steering, the toughness in seen unlike in Hondas and Marutis which have EPS. doesnt make much difference while getting used.

 

Final Words Value for Money, Sedan comfort.

 

Areas of improvement Improvement of plastics and fixing; Good quality Music system - I have Blaupunkt system - is good enough but requires improvement in quality of sound output.
