As normal car vista is a good car but if it comes to the engine and the performance it is the worst. The engine provided in indica vista the safire 65 is a avery bad engine the whole great value of the car comes to an end if you see the engine performance. because I also have bought an indica vista safire driven it 35000kms and in that 35000kms it needed to be towed 5 times and almost in every two months it stayed in servicing centere for 1 week. I took the car in 3 different servicing centers but they all say that the engine has some manufacturing defect and they even cannot deyect the defect. They always say to me that i need to sell the car in secondhand showroom or dealers because they cannot solve the problems of the engine. The problems of the engine were like in hevy traffic jams you cannot drove the car in 1st gear engine stops with knocking, then in highways you cannot drove it faster than 100kms it started knocking. About five times i have towed this car from highways and also city therfore, there was a good relation between me and tow service. even the tow service guy asked me not to drive this car anymore because even they were tired of towing my car and every time i towed it i have to pay 2000rs. This car become familiar to the servicing center also as it always remain there every after 2 months of first visit. Two months before i have sold that car to a secondhand dealer in 2lacs after 1.5 years and yesterday i saw it in a local garrage without front wheels.

Took a test drive of the Indica Vista top-end diesel variant, yesterday (16-May-10). Here are my views:
Interiors:
Over the previous Indica this is a great improvement, Bright interiors make it feel big, Dash plastic quality is much better, Top end variant has only fabric seats. A good idea would be to go in for Art leather seats, Integrated music system looks neat. Nippon brand. Music quality is decent.
Design (Interiors)
Finally there is place for a bottle holder!! Unlike the older Indica/Indigo, one can keep some stuff on the dash without worrying that it would slide out of the window, Display meter is very neat and easy to see Temp Gauge is digital with bar display (like the battery meter in a mobile) The bonnet-end is still not visible!! I guess it is same with all cars of this ilk Power window switch is available on the door's itself and are neat. Below front-passenger seat there is place to store regulat water-bottles
Comfort (Interiors)
The seats are very comfortable (including the rear seats), Driver & passenger seat has height adjustment which a great boon The gear stick is not a gear stick but a joy stick!! Changing gears is a big leap when compared with older Indica's & Indigo's gear stick is easy to reach Cabin Space has always been Indica's forte and continues to be in the Vista too Noise intrusion (NHV) is drastically reduced. Engine itself is less noisy 5 adults could comfortably sit.
Exteriors (Looks)
Needless to say the exterior is very pleasing Twin headlamps to start with are very attractive Turn indicators on the A pillar are attractive Car stance is high and looks good Rear wiper is big to clean bigger glass area Door handles are very neat and gel neatly with the car body ORVM's are big enough to comfortably see the world following!! They don't fold in completely though.
Performance
A great leap. With 75bhp, 7-8 more than older Indica/Indigo, this is more powerful What takes the cake is the way Torque is made available. 3rd gear acceleration is just amazing, even while climbing inclines. Car simply refuses to be bogged down in any gear Top speed to be around 165kmph Expected fuel economy (14/15kmpl-city, 18/19kmpl-highway)
Ride & Handling Again an area where there has been tremendous improvement. The suspensions are much better tuned. I rode the vehicle over decently bad roads and we could not hear the suspension working. The car held it's balance well. Tubeless tyres were provided which was good with road grip Braking was decent
Advantages
The car is longer & taller (almost like the Olympic motto!!) translating to more space More powerful with better torque delivery makes this car pleasure to drive Build of the car is solid. One feels secure inside the car
Areas of improvement
ABS/Airbags could have been an option atleast Boot (luggage space should have been more). Looks like the car has been designed to take Swift head-on Front window glasses did not appear as solid as older Indica/Indigo's. Appeared slimmer.
Comments:
With an on-road price of 4.5 lacs in Mumbai for the Aura Saffire petrol variant, this is a car which is a definite winner!!

MY LIST OF COMPLAINS:
1) TATA MOTOR'S SITE DOES NOT LIST THE DEALER 'AASTHA MOTORS', PATNA FM WHOME I HAVE PURCHASED MY CAR. HENCE I WAS FORCED TO TICK THE OTHER DEALER.OPTION IN THE GREIVANCES COLUMN.
2) I GOT MY CAR DELIVERED ON 27 OCT BUT TILL DATE HAVE NOT RECIVED ANY ACCESSORIES.
3) THE SALES EXECUTIVES AT THE DEALER ARE BASICALLY CONMEN FIT FOR FLEECE MARKET. FIRST I GOT SAFFIRE TERRA MODEL BOOKED BUT ON THE DAY OF THE PROPOSED DELIVERY WHEN I WENT TO ENQUIRE I WAS SAID THE THE VERSION WAS NOT AVAILABLE. I WAS AGHAST, THEN THEY ASKED ME GO FOR AQUA MODEL THIS AFTER I HAD GOT MY FINANCE PROCESSED AT SBI, PATNA. I WAS PROMISED COMPLETE MATTINGS, MUD FLAPS AND TAT SEAT COVERS. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THEM.
3) THEY EXECUTIVES DO NOT RETURN MY CALLS. THEY TRY TO MAKE FOOL OF THE CUSTOMERS.
4) I WAS DELIVERED THE CAR WITH A DEFECTIVE FRONT TYRE. IT IS HAVING MANUFACTURING DEFECT. OBVIOUSLY THE PDI WAS NOT DONE COMPLETELY AS FROM DAY ONE THE TYRE HAS LEAKAGE PROBLEM. REPORTED IT TO THE WORKSHOP ON 31/10/2008 (DATE OF PURCHASE 27/10/2008), WAS GIVEN A LETTER FOR GOODYEAR TYRE OFFICE, THE ADDRESS WAS FOUND TO BE OLD WITH MUCH DIFFICULTIES WAS ABLE TO LOCATE THE OFFICE HOWEVER, STILL WAITING FOR THE REPLACEMENT. IN THE MEANTIME I RECEIVED A SMS FM TATA MOTORS ON 9/11/2008 THAT UR CAR IS READY FOR DELIVERY. HOW CUSTOMER FRIENDLY???? DUE TO NON-AVAILABILTY OF THE SPARE WHEEL I CANNOT TAKE LONG JOURNIES AND THEN IN THE MEANTIME MY FIRST SERVICE (1 MONTH) IS NEARING SOON. IMAGINE SPENDING 4.3 LAKHS FOR A CAR AND WAITING FOR SPARE WHEEL.

I took the delivery on 9th of oct n have done 500+ kms ,have'nt used it daily coz of other works at home.
1.Fuel economy in city is 13-14km, now probably it increases after 1st service.high ways 17-18kms.Fine on drivability. (satisfied)
2.Poor quality plastics,on door handles.It feels awkward after paying 5lk plus n getting such a quality.(not satisfied)
3.Power steering is responsive,high speed it is fine.But not centering 100% after turns (90%)u have to slightly center it manualy.It might be dangerous on high speeds n trafic areas.(not convinced)
4.Good A/C,great pick up.
Overall iam satisfied but have little issues like i mentioned above.
GOOD SPACE,ENGINE,COMFORTABLE.Poor plastics on the doors,power steering not centering(90%) after turns

This is my first review in Carwale.I own a Alto and was looking to upgrade to a spacious car.I did check trough more than10 cars ..then finaly test drove the vista Qaudrajet first.No doubt about this car it has very good pick up and ride quality being a fiat engine,but it was out of my budget.
Then in thought let give some hance to Tata's desi deisel.Test drove the indica vista TDI aqua.I was surpried with car's peroformance,it has enough power and pick up for daily city travel,71BHp and 134 Nm torque is quiet sufficient.Although you feel the difference between qudrajet and TDI.TDI is bit sluggish comapared to the quadrajet but you feel its sufficient .
The high seating position is very good for visibilty and gives a very good ride quality feeling.The gear shift is cable oparated one and is smooth enough while changeing gears,pick up till 3rd gear is very good afer that its bit slow.I believe this car wil be very good to drive on highways.I could not fully rip the performance of the car due to heavy trafiic near bangalore diary as i took the test drive from concorde motors.
Intertiors are okay ,there still room for improvement .The suspensions are good and you feel the ride quality is good.At 4.6lacs on road this is a very good value for money diesel car.
However i have some concerns regarding maintenace of the car.Since diesel engine generally after clocking 50K kms will have more maintainance and service to be done.However i am giving it a try ,will be booking it in a couple of months.

This is my 1st deisel car and I have not felt the difference till now in terms of drive and pickup........ I have clocked 10,000kms in 5mnths and love the drive even more with every passing day. The best example that I can give regarding the comfort level of the car is that, I have multiple slip disc and inspite of this I have driven 950kms in a single day and have not felt a thing on my back..........I guess that shud speak for itself . Looks is something that a lot of people complimented the car on at traffic signals,kinna gets embarising but you still enjoy the attention. I have a black car with chrome alloys to make it look more appealing. All in all it value for money in every aspect.
However there is a scope of improvement in terms of covering the noise and using a little better quality materials for the car. This car is not being marketed the way it deserves to be or it would have wiped Swift out of the market.
Concorde is simply awesome when it comes to after sales svc.
Looks, Space,Comfort,Mileage,Squeaky, Finishing could be better,Little Engine noise.

I just admires Tata vehicles because of its so many qualities and features, besides its sturdy body. & Vista has surely overcome its only lacking feature that is the style and comfort.
It is surely made for the Indian roads and environment.
I have driven more than 16000 km in less than 8 months and almost in all weather and roads, and surprisingly it has come true at all the condition
Fuel economy is just stunning, I have also got 24/litter in TDi on highways, the space is also fab.Look can be the only reason, and some technical faultsఎక్స్టీరియర్/స్టైల్స్

Exterior
looks like a big boss in its segment as if big bro is moving with head held high.tyres should have been 14".but anyway it touches your heart.at first glance.smooth easy going curves.but back is typical tata type.word indica must be removed from the name,as this is class apart.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
good space,cofortable seats,good suspension,but very poor quality plastic.even santro has much better plastic.central cluster is good looking but dont compare with beat.but it is very good easy to operate.ooomph! music system-speakers not upto mark, but if you dont like loud music its enough for you.my car doesnt have aux and pen drive slot.and i cant play dvd, cos it plys mp3 only.clutch should have foot rest, as this car has so many features and this would be another feature.except poor plastic and slightly low grade music system, its good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
engine sounds good but has slightly less pick up,fuel economy 12.5 to 13.5(before 1st service).they say it will go upto 15 to 16 in city and upto 18 on highway aftr fuel change.
Ride Quality & Handling
ride quality exellent in its segment.perhaps best in its class.handling-- maruti steering is much more responsive to your touch but it eworks good enough for you.
Final Words
a good deal for money.vast service network.and trust of tata.go for it i say.i bought this car after research of five months looking for various features loke -price, performance , safty, comfort, service, space,ride quality,engine reliabilty and list was endless for me.
Areas of improvement
all -ve points i have mentioned and ABS and air bags which they have included now.
