TATA HEXA --- THE BEAST.

Buying experience: A Tata off road event was organised in Aurangabad which helped to Finalise the car considering its comfort , presence , value and off road potential.The Tata Motors team at Satish Motors was very cooperative during the whole process. The vehicle was made available in 7 days after booking. All the formalities were done well and features were well explained. Also before Finalising on HEXA .had a Inter city Cab ride in a TATA ARIA which was nearing 7 lakh KMS. That totally cleared any doubts if at all were there regarding the quality of Tata Vehicles.
Riding experience: Excellent Ride quality, Demolishes bad roads , large potholes and speed breakers. Captain seats are best , not only in segment but any car several categories above. Enigine is Refined and torquey (400 NM), the advanced Autobox from Punch Powertrain France and ZF Germany is slick,you can easily change between Manual and auto modes. Excellent highway high speed stability. CRUISE CONTROL makes this car effortless on Highways.
Details about looks, performance etc: Strong Road presence, Macho Looks, largest wheels (19") ( ENDEAVOUR & FORTUNER have 18") enhance looks and presence.Very easy to Manouvre in city and solid on Highway. Only Hydraulic steering system in segment weighs well on Highways. Color -- Titanium Silver looks awesome . (color choice subjective) . Black interiiors are spacious and quality is Good Overall , Seats supportive and well cusioned. Powerful AC ,chills Car quickly . The Projectors illuminate the road brilliantly and the LED tail lamps look Awesome. The Car feels stable at Triple digit speeds on Highways. A genuine 1000kms / day Family car. Fuel Economy -- 11kmpl in city stop and go traffic & 13.5 kmpl on highways at 90 - 110 kmph .This is fine for a 2.2 Tonne Behemoth and should improve a bit after 1st oil change.
Servicing and maintenance: Have recently Completed 2nd service after 10000 kms , the only charges i had to pay was - 650 INR for alignemnet and wheel balancing. Thats the total service cost I had to pay till date(10000 kms) which is amazing . Oil change interval is 20,000 KMS/ 1year , thats even higher than German cars , speaks volumes of Tatas confidence in Hexa regarding its Built and reliability No other Maintenance cost till date, No squeaks or Rattles.
Pros and Cons: Pros - 1. Road presence and looks 2. Torquey Engine and brilliant Autobox( although I never found any thing wrong with the Manual during test drives) 3. Comfort and ride quality 4. Superb JBL 10 speaker Audio system 5. Genuine 7 seater . (test drive Hexa , Endeavour and Fortuner back to back) you will then realize how good ther 3rd row of this car this car is . 2 Adults can easily sit in 3rd row , whole day . Best 3rd row comfort. Cons - NONE Improvements - TATA please fit the HEXA with a PANAROMIC sun roof, WOW - what an experience that would be. NOTE - I am Not a TATA employee to write everything positive.
