Exterior Unlike the 2009 Superb, the older version looks much more balanced and understated. A very classy design. It is build on a streched VW Passat platform and has a very solid feel to it.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) With three men in the family of a height of more than 185 cms, it is one of the most spacious cars one could get. The seat is very comfy and a long journey would be something to write home about. The rear leg space is compared to the Merc S Class!!
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox If you are passionate about cars and always had a dream to own a 6 cylinder V6, then this one is for you. Manumatic Gear box (Tiptronic) is a dream to drive in the manual as well as automatic version. As far as fuel economy goes, I would like to say that a lot depends on how you drive! With a light foot usually I get to notice 100kms/ 10.3 L which translates to 9.7 Kms/L in city (Gurgaon) which is not bad at all considering the size of the engine. It would be unfair to compare it with a smaller car. At the end of the day we all should be willing to pay a price of luxury. So if one wants to drive a car which has the engine size of two C segment cars, then a fuel economy of 9-11 is excellent by all yards.
Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is excellent but the cornering ability can be inproved by using low profile tyres.
Final Words Unmatchable value and huge ability. I had a choice of speding around 700,000 on a new car, but since the daily driving is not much >50 KMS/day, we thought why not fulfill a dream rather than investing in just a mode of transport. A five year old vehilcle worth 2 million INR at that price is a steal deal if one gets his hands on a well maintained vehicle. I bought a 2nd hand car about 4 years old & clocked 45k KMs. Apparently seemed to be used with not much of care. I paid 8.5L for it.The sheer size of the car fills the biggest garage in your society. The looks seems to be ageless.
The engine, 2.8L V6, is a ultra refined VW engine & feels very smooth & responsive to your feet. It feels like a rocket propelling you to dizzy speed.
With scores of features & raw engine power and the executive "Skoda" stance, it is a pride to own one, Costly spares are a bit of setback, but, this is how the 'premium' is percieved.
Only limitations to me, is its offroad (bad roads) capability. It may scrap the bottom because of its softer suspensions as compared to Laura & New Superb 2009.
Look into the cabin space and you find ample room all around. Even after 4 years of use (abuse) there is still a typical fresh leather whiff of fragrance that greets you. 8 air-bags, Leather seats, ABS, EBD, Traction control, Cruise control, Rain sensing wipers, power washed headlamps, Xenon lights which dynamically adjust to speed, Electrically adjustable front seats with memory, 8 speaker audio, 5-speed tiptronic auot transmission with manual option (which self-programs itself according to your driving style, Sun-roof, cat-vision glow of the cock-pit, home- coming (all lights keep glowing for 3 minutes when u arrive), Umberella at the left rear door, all-heated seats and many small bells & whistles to elate & pamper.
I won't justify fuel economy, however, with onboard real-time display of fuel consumption allows you to keep your feet lighter on the accelerator and return about 11-12 kmpl on highways.(even with speeds exceeding 100 to 140)
I may be awkwardly biased, but the signature look of skoda is absent in the new version. It is unfair to even write a review or compare with newer version, noticeably, there are fewer reviews of this discontinued version.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I would rate 5 for fuel economy not because it gives a mileage of 15- 20 KM/L but it gives a very decent cost of running if u consider the size of the engine.
Ride Quality & Handling One of the most confortable limo which one can buy.
Final Words If you have a budget of a maximum of around 7-8 Lacks and the need is a refined automatic car, then in that case the only option in new cars was the i 10. However there are a lot of options in used C Segment cars, but buying a 3-6 year old skoda Superb makes a lot of sense.
Areas of improvement With 5.9 m turning radius, it takes one extra shift to move the car around.

I am an owner of 2008 Skoda Superb. In June 2011, I got a complete service done for the car from Skoda dealer in Gurgaon: Giriraj Motors. It included all Oil Change, general service, and also replaced the Coolant Reservoir with a new one. 2 days after the service, the car's system started giving the message for low coolant level. I contacted a local mechanic and he put in 2 full bottles of coolant. However, few days later it again started giving the same coolant issue.
I took it to another Skoda Dealer: Fahrenheit Motors and told him the issue. The Skoda representative over there, Mr. Hemant, told me he will charge an initial Rs. 1250 just to look at the car and will charge separately for parts, oil etc.; and that I will have to wait for 1 hour for it. As I had no other choice, I agreed to demand. All they did was to bring 1 mechanic who found that the issue maybe because of a loose connection while fixing the Coolant Reservoir.
Still they are not sure if the issue is resolved, and I might have to come again and shell out more money. And for this small thing they charged me Rs. 1250 + service tax. Because of this blunder done by Giriraj Motors, I had to shell out so much money with the Fahrenheit Motors and local mechanics. The Skoda service centers provide the worst service at exorbitant prices and without much result.

Hey everybody out there this car really makes feeel like driving all typrs of cars, means driving a sports car, a heavy loaded mercedes, suv, all smooth cars etc. according to me this car should be made little cheaper so that it can have no competition in its class. I am so much interested in such type of cars. after a long time India has got a multi loaded car. and its looks my god. u will go crazy upon it. its interior mind blowing, its big tyre makes u feel driving a phantom, its sterring makes feel driving a light car, and top of t he most its speed at 180kmpl u wont feel any vibration it goes smoothly as if driving at 100kmpl. the world class engine delivers superb power, and torque to accelerate, If u feel like test driving go right now and feel It yrself, all cars of skoda are really superb and best stability. If u r thiking of rsale value skoda has got better resale value then any other cars in its class. talking about parking because of its size I would like o add my friends this car gives u al indication about right parking. its tail being lifted so that while u park in reverse direction yr bumper wont touch the street side. good ground clearance, absolute cooling even at hot temperatures outside. u wont feel sitting in desert but feel like sitting in yr office or home cool temp. If u r residence of mumbai then forget about car being tampered its sleek design makes feel like driving small car so that u can easily take gaps in zoom out from traffics.

worst engine of all times, gives a milage of 4. I have spent rs 11,000 on petrol for a trip from mumbai to baroda. The air ticket is for 7,000 return. The car cannot handle low speeds and trafic driving.
The gear box needs an over-haul every 20,000 kms, the suspension needs replacement every 30,000 kms.
the stearing is too heavy.
i rate the comfort of this car less than that of a corolla

please dont do the mistake of buying this car or any skoda the service centre are full of chors will try to loot you every time. The oil cost's Rs 800 a liter and the massive engine requires 12 liters. you spend so muchc and you get a car which is less comfortabe than a corolla, gives a milage as compaired to a ferrari, drives like a sumo in city traffic and on highways you always have the fear of it breaking down than you have to pay a few ten thousands to just get it to a service centre.

Exterior The built is strong, color quality is superior, xenon lights and chrome grill are stylish, windows & Glasses are high quality. Tail lights however were better in previous platform untill 2006-155BHP models.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Huge space at the rear and front, comparable to S-E Class mercedes. Audio is good, speaker quality, bass is amazing. Comfortable seats, softer suspension, Automatic climate control, however its not as effective as other cars like hyundai, honda. HHeavy doors, airbags ensure safety.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 2500 cc, 350NM torque, feels rocket when turbo spools, however quite fuel consuming with AC in traffic jams, but on motorway-it provides excellent fuel economy even 6l/100km if tyre pressure is correctly set as prescribed on fuel cap, although its higher than indian road standards, but definitely improves fuel economy. Gearbox is cool in D mode, shifts brilliantly, and in gives sporty feel in manual tiptronic mode.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is what german cars are known for, this is skoda from outside however all internal parts are VW Audi, and hence quite expensive but built to last, just pray that none of them goes bad, parts are hard to find and even if the vehicle is too old now, parts are still expensive.
Excellent suspension and handling at corners, this version is more low and sticks to the ground at high speeds, quite opposite to SUV height feeling. Heavier steering feels good on highways.
Final Words To summarize, its a pretty decent limo, luxury car with excellent features and specifications, however I would not suggest this car to a beginner and even if they are cheap due to poor resale value of skoda, it would require a lot of intelligence, knowledge and experience to keep this car in good condition and maintain it forever.
