I own an automatic Variant since 2007. My friend and myself both bought the car together. Things were extremly good till inital 3 years after that it is full of problems only. First thing that goes wrong is AC, then Turbo, then seat. Suspension will need repair and finally Gear box at 85,000 Kms. Overall I have spent more than 4 lacs in last 3 Years on just getting replacements but even then some of the parts keep creating trouble.
I am surprised to read so many postive comments here as all seems manipulated to me. Everytime I visit the workshop, I see same issues are being faced by almost all Laura owners.
Also - Skoda doe not offer any Extended Warranty beyond 2 years, which proabably explains their own confidence on this.
If you want to buy this, please sell this inside 3 years. The car is full of features and probably comparable with some Luxiry Cars so it is a great Car but only lasts 3 Years, 50000 Kms.

Exterior The car looks very good with its new shape in front. The projected head lamps and additional halogen lamps re very good and the provide very good vision.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are good and skoda uses a very good plastic , the Radio functions re also good. The car is very spacious and especially the Accelerator pedal is very comfortabe.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engines is not all noisy as other cars, and it has no vibrations even at high speed. We can travel maximum at a low gear for a longer time as it uses "FLAT TORQUE" Technology.
Ride Quality & Handling The entire feel is excellent.
Final Words We can blindlly chose this car, and now skoda provided 4 years of warranty, this is the best thing.
Areas of improvement Skoda can improve in its sale as well as marketting team and also reduce the spares cost. Laura also has a very good resale value.

Exterior Bold and royaly beautiful in black, bright white headlights, auto adjusting is just charm. wow is the home coming feature, very unexpected nice surprice for many.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent look and usabilities ..very comfortable front seats, wow audio system.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Smooth, effortless driving, flying machine on NH8 - if 2-3Km empty road in front. in Chennai road - 8-9Km/L and now on NH/Gurgaon kinda road, easily 11-12 km/l and during inter city - even upto 13-14Km/L. Can't even feel any lag of a large Diesel engine, AT is a magic smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent refined, Specially would enjoy ESP. sometime TPM is misleading.
Final Words Too comfortable for any road, nothing much to show off but simply enjoy being inside - being driven or driving.
Areas of improvement Missing Paddle shift, At this category in India, must have GPS, voice over, Bluetooth pairing, bottle holder in back seat/door, Audio control & sun blind scroll for back bencher too. Too less goodies for back seats, this is bad :-).
Put in Sport mode, floor down the accelrt and enjoy drive.Back seat straight and keep you awake.

Exterior Seems quite fine to look at.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Bad seating comfort for front or rear seats. Poor legroom at rear. Too steep backrest in rear offering a very tense/stressful position.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gearbox stall if one is not fully accustomed to this low torque engine and badly matched gearbox. Looks like some bad design was handed down to us Indians since we know no better! Don't buy Skoda and waste your money trying to make it work. Manual transmission is very bad. Even in the first gear the car stalls if one is not careful. One would imagine that a 2.0L TDI engine could easily haul a car without acceleration in first gear. But you would be surprised. And, this is a very dangerous and life threatening feature if you have a driver. Imagine when steering, brakes etc fail when the engine stalls in traffic. This happens even in higher gears if one is not careful without any prior warning from the engine that it is under strain and requires a gear change. I plan to sue Skoda for threat to occupants when this happens. What is the use of claiming German lineage with such poor performance. Let them come to me and I will show how someone with common sense can design a car, its engine and transmission characteristics.
Ride Quality & Handling Good ride offering a very stable drive even on a highway. However, braking fade is sometimes a danger at higher speeds since the car doesn't allow one to get a real feel of the speed. There is a false sense of security due to its weight. Lot of squeaking from front side and rattling even within 5,000 km which none are able to fix.
Final Words My a/c compressor failed in 1 year and <20,000 km. Luckily within warranty it was changed but with some prodding and delay. Car was out of service for 3 days. Besides I had some sweaty days after spending 16 lakhs+. What a shame. And this has happened to several friends cars. Even the older model has the stalling problem. Nobody has reported maybe because they are unaware that this is a dangerous design flaw especially considering safety of your loved ones. Image on a curve in a hilly area and you stall. To restart you need to do all the circus of depressing clutch and lose control momentarily. It maybe too late sometimes... So, why buy a coffin for 16 lakhs!!
Areas of improvement Quality should improve in materials used and workmanship. Get your act right Skoda. Bad dealer (at Hyderabad/AP), is a crook! Think how Toyota or Honda does stuff and stop showing us your German blood which is fake and misleading!!

Exterior Solid built and elegant styling. They do not have a proper QC department. The chrome grille and exterior paint finish is better in low end cars itself.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Poor ac system and beige leather is not suitable for our polluted country. Space and seating in the rear is poor. Qc checking lacks here too. The Ac improper functioning was not found out in the PDI check up and factory inspection.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Peppy and great engine. Economy is appreciable and DSG gear box is fun driving.
Ride Quality & Handling Appreciable especially with nitrogen filled tyres.
Final Words Think before buying and consider other options.
Areas of improvement company should improve on their customer care. They have a reckless attitude towards customers. No care attitude.
May even sell this only having driven 3500kms. Annoying dealer Gurudev motors and Skoda India doesn't care about the customer. They only sell. Customer care is only for the sake of books and legal requisites. I guess this is why they don't sell volumes.

Exterior beautiful head lites and tough looks makes it everyones turn around.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) As lush as u cn think of, people say no steering mounted controls, I say it good as never distract ur eyes off the road.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Asa u start the machine the glowing lites on ur dash makes u feel shiny and iluminate ur eyes, the gear box for AT is as smooth as hotknife on a butter cake. engine noise is almost 0 tough its a desiel (one can never make it out ). And u drive it in a range bound speed, keeping the thrill aside. This vehicle easily gives an average of 15 + in city.

Exterior: Tail lights are not the best in class. Bumper seems to be good but is not that very strong compared to other part of the body. I have black colour which after sometime feels like we have scratches all over the car even after taking good care.

Interiors are v.good. Seats very comfortable and you feel like getting into the sofa sets. Good for long distance travel.

Sturdy powerful engine, Very good performance on highways, very smooth, noiseless and effortless driving. But in city its a pain to drive it esp in peak Mumbai traffic. Not good pickup of Automatic version on 1st and 2nd gears. Fuel economy in city is b/w 10-12 km/l, but on highways go upto 18 km/l. Gears are smooth in Automatic version and triptronic too.

A/c not the best. It starts after 2-5 mts of run of the car.
Windows does not automatically stop going up if child's hand is there on the glass.
In automatic version, the left legs rest is not very comfortable. The knee touches the dashbord is very unconfortable.
Side Mirror adjustment is very painful. It does not gets adjusted quickly and needs lots of effort to put in correct position.
Water spray during front glass cleaning is not uniform and does not come upto top. So if car has lot of dust, there is a chance of getting scratches on the glass.
Fuel Economy, Features like rain sensors, lumbar support, interiors and seat comfort. Power is good.A/c is giving issues. Auto windows closure does not work properly after sometime.

Exterior Great Looks, though its doesnt have typical Aero dynamic jazzy shape and fancy lights like Cruze, Civic, Corolla Altis or Verna fluidic (though it doesnt fall in the same segment).
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfortable leg room, seat adjusments are good, lot of storage pockets. seating space at rear is comparatively lower due to AC Vent, decent head room.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine the best-Smooth like a good single malt... Its a sheer pleasure, Gear Box the best i have driven so far. Fuel Economy is not great I dont expect a great fuel economy too. I was mentally prepared for a 7/8 kmpl in city and 11/12 kmpl in highway.
Ride Quality & Handling Speed machine. HYD to BLR 6.5 hrs flat - on a road without traffic u can comfortably touch 175/180. not safe though. just for heck of it i did touch those speeds for few seconds. but 140 kmph. I was crusing with absolute control.
Braking- the best with ABS and ASR
Reversing- poor visibility, i am not comfortable with the sensors
Steering- Great handling, but little heavier than may earlier cars (Honda City & Fiesta)
Handling clutch is different from my previous cars need to get used to it (I have just finished 2000Kms).
Final Words You love speed, power, comfort and dont compare everyday fuel economy with diesel cars and other sedans. go for it.. its pleasure driving this machine.
Areas of improvement If they cud do something to improve fuel economy without compromising any of the things, then it would be great, Better view for reversing, Auto raise and close of boot.. its heavy, Leather seats shud be given by default for a car like this.

Bought it preowned, was told not to go with skoda, but after driving and getting the first service done it change my perception about skoda, i had hyundai verna earlier has the service bill for 10 to 12k and in skoda its 11.5k which was a shocker to me as i thought it would go to above 15 to 20k.
even people mentioned that skoda has bad cust. service, I dint felt that at all, I reckon it was best experince I had till date, considering the experince in Hyundai, tata and suzuki service experience.
Even skoda has a new strategy of working on cust. service which i beleive they had implemented very well

Areas of improvement Service is very very poor especially at Trivandrum with marikar motors. very hostile attitude by the management(service section) and because of that I had to sell this car in the first year itself.In one week I had to talk to 4 different service advisors for the same complaint. Just for the rear bumper i had to wait 0ne month. I would like to go for the same car provided they change their attitude towards customers.
