Actually I wanted a petrol car with my budget under 5 lakh. So as usual I have gone for maruti Suzuki showroom as a routine buyer. But in those days, due to year end, each model I wanted was out of stock as I have been told. So I went tata show room and asked for tiago. Same story there and waiting also for at least 30 days.
So we were going towards Hyundai for eon. But one of my friends told me to try for renault kwid. When I gone for test drive, I was pleased with driving, space and especially look from outside. I have cancelled my token money given for maruti showroom friend for any wagon r or alto k10. And purchased kwid. After possesing the car, I came to know about it's user friendly nature. Each and every thing is well designed inside as compared to cost.
Don't expect features of 7/8 lakh rs car features. Best thing is that it comes with inbuilt audio system with navigator. Which comes mostly in mpv or suv class. It has good space inside. Driver plus four passangers can travel comfortably than wagon r or alto or eon. I am a civil engineer. I have to go frequently to sites, where access roads are not built. Or by driving of sand trucks and other heavy vehicles, there is risk of car gets scratched from bottom side. But kwid has 180 mm ground clearance.
So my car goes better on such roads. Also for petrol engine, it gives me average of 22 kmpl. I have driven it for 30000 km in 16 months. Not any single major maintainace, Though I have travelled on rough roads. It has highest luggage space in its class. It's a very good product under 5 lakh budget and if you live in semi urban area. As compared to Suzuki alto and wagon r or Hyundai eon, it's perfect choice. Thanks Renault for such wonderful product.
