When I had first seen the duster in upcoming cars in india section about 6-7 months back I fell in love with this beauty there and then. Immediately my wall paper changed to wood land brown duster and i loved it from every angle. I went to the renault dealer the day it was launched but it was so packed with people that i come back and then again went for a test drive after 3 weeks of its launch. the interiors were feeling simple and not upto my imagination but when i took it for a drive , i was impressed to say the least. the handling and ride quality was superb. if you compare it with scorpio and xylo then it wins hands down but if you compare the interiors with verna or city then it lacks in that case. but suv should not be compared with sedans. i got for handling and riding and its massive ground clearnence. however i must mention that the staff at the dealerships is very ill informed and they take least interest in selling the suv to you, even giving test drives very reluctatanly. I don't know why. renault should improve its relations with customers and tell their staff to be cordeal and nice to customers. else there is nothing more to it. just love the way it looks and rides.

Exterior are very impressive. But from distance the size is not noticable. From closer view it looks bigger. The height of the Duster is almost like any other small car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) All in RLX models are good, but RLX Opt. might be good. But, switching on and off airbag might be tiring. Boot space is good but not usable always. No 3rd raw seats. Doorwindows swithes are not suitably placed.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine in 85 BHP is not good for city drive. Only after 60 kmph it will be smooth. Constant changing gear are must. Always start with 1st gear once not in motion. Reaching 5th gear is a dream. Notching gear shift needs extra effort especially in 2nd. rest o.k. Fuel so far reached 15.6 kml. in city @ 500 km, Paint work is also very good. Some shiny finishes are also good.
Ride Quality & Handling Comfortble in driving on highways. But in city painful. Manages bumps verywell. Tyre grinding noise in not there. Door closing noise is loud. No outer door rims so collect dust in the door thickness compartment a big disadvantage in Indian road condition. Regular need to claen along with body. Fibaling horns.
Final Words It value for money if you consider amount which company getting apart from Govt. taxes.
Areas of improvement Door rims, second gear shifting/ratio, horn sound, Angle of headlights with highbeams. Engine perfomanance.

Exterior Very good and impressive. Front grill looks very good, rear also looks awesome. Roof rails also look awesome.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Leather seat covers as a compony fittment would have been much more better atleast for top variant in 85PS engine. interiors are acceptable... not very rich but will do types.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good and acceptable. Gerabox could hv been much better and smoother.
Ride Quality & Handling Very good ride quality. Feels like as if one is driving a sedan. Turning radius is impressive and very good at high speed. Does not wobble at high speed, like other expensive SUV's.

Exterior t is far from being true that three persons in the rear can be seated comfortably. The interior in the Duster should have been much more appealing. The glove compartment gives a shabby look to the interior. The color and quality of the plastics inside is certainly poor. I am sure that the same version released in UK would be much better. I think such big companies like Renault should not economize at the cost of their reputation. Today awareness in India is many times more than what it used to be 5 years ago.
It is strongly recommended that repositioning of the blower in front of the rear seat should be undertaken before delivering the vehicle to potential buyers. The company needs to relook at the glove compatment, it certainly needs a change.
Apart from the above, the vehicle is very good and can be rated as 8 out of 10.
Overall things are seemed to be good but if you are changing the Price with less logic then u know,Duster price should change for all the bookings made on or after Oct 2012 and not Aug12. Be logicalఎక్స్టీరియర్/స్టైల్స్

Exterior Fantastic looking muscular car with compact dimensions which make it easy to manuver in city
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior overall is on average side, plastic quality is not upto the mark in a car of this price and some of switches and buttons are oddly placed for eg side mirror adjustment switch is placed below the hand break, as far as space and comfort is concern front seats are quiet spacious and comfortable, although rear seats are bit cramped for legroom but the seats offer good thigh and back support and are adequately comfortable. Boot is really big.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I drove both 110 and 85 and m very much satisfied with performance of both engine infact liked the smaller 85bhp more for refinement, noise, offcourse mileage 20.8 kmpl(ARAI) and city driveability as power delivery is very linear compare to 110bhp which has some turbo lag below 2000rpm. gearbox is good and shifts are quiet smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling Fantastic this is the department that duster leaves all its competition way behind, ride quality and handling is absolutely great and dusters handles the curves and bends remarkably well and absorbs every pothole, speed breaker, rough surface very well.
Final Words Overall a very good product but prices are on higher side.
Areas of improvement Firstly interior plastic material quality and rear legroom could be bit more.

Exterior Excellent looks from front,side and specially from the rear. Wheel size and arch are the centre of attraction.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Five months of driving covering 18000 kms, the defogger light is not working and there is irritating noise from rear wheels which is yet to be rectified by the service centre at Guwahati inspite of two visits for the same.Space in the rear is best for two normal sized person, another thin person can be accomodated.I would prefer 4 persons for long drives.Driving and comfort is excellent.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very smooth however it requires some time to heatup to a normal range in Tawang in Arunachal |Pradesh a high altitude town with very low temperature. Gears needs some refinement.
Ride Quality & Handling Riding quality is top grade. Handling and driving on up and downhill roads of North East region of India is excellent.
Final Words Inspite of all this no regrets, but during my drive to Sangetsar lake situated in the Chinese border in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh,the need for a 4wd was evident.
Areas of improvement Gear box, door noise and electrical switches need to be looked into.

Exterior Looks fantastic on the road, robust and wide. It is a head turner really. I loved the shape of the car as it complements its looks.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior is a bit dull, it could have been more stylish. The mirror controls are hard to get used to due to their positioning. However, the seating is comfortable. The rear ac is a bit annoying, I always end up nudging it with my elbow 😱
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I love how it glides on even the baddest of roads. On city roads it gives around 15 kmpl and on the highway close to 17 which is very good according to me. The 6 speed manual transmission makes the ride smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling Driving pleasure is very good and manuevering in the traffic is easy. I love taking long drives in my Duster, I guess that says it all. The potholes on the roads do not matter anymore.
Final Words Best buy and value for money for those who want to buy a good SUV.
Areas of improvement The interior should be improved along with the music system and the look of the rear ac.

Interior is not at all good. Ver poor plastic quality, leg space at both driver and back rows are really good. Boot space is also extremely good

some times we will be not able to notice whether engine is on, very smooth and no noise at all. Gear box is also ok. We have driven new vehicle around 2300 kms mileage we are getting around 18 kms.litre

Ride quality is good and only one disadvantage there is no seat height adjustment
Final Words
Duster is almost like mini fortuner on road. although apperance seems to be simpler , on road it looks like mini SUV fortuner vehicle. Fuel economy in my vehicle is around 18 kms/litre. Pick up in between 2ndand 3rd gear is superb.intial pick up and torque is extremely well maintained. We have observed at 140 km/hr in highway roads there was slight steering vibration, however this has to be rectified in my 1st service. Overall this vehicle is most comfort for tall people and very easy ,cool and comfort driving.
Areas of improvement
Plastic quality, interior handle material and dash boad material to be improved. MRF tyres shall be replaced by michillin to avoid tyre noise. Proving should be reduced so that it will lead Indian marker for a long periods.
