Swift - a decent deal for the consumer

I drive my wife's Swift to work most days.

Superb engine. Very responsive. Powerful and clean.

Lovely in the city.

Easy to park, easy to get around in Bangalore traffic!

The rear seat space is not great. Fuel economy in city driving conditions is not absolutely the best. (It gives about 9.5/ 10 kmpl)

This is not a car I personally would feel like taking on the highway or to the hills for a holiday.

I wish Maruti would do the following:

1. Fatter/ better profile Tyres.- The OEM ones are sad sad sad. The pretty little Swift looks like a poor child wearing bad shoes with the OEM tyres and it definitely impacts performance/ cornering etc quite a lot.

2. Make the Left side Rear View mirror Standard. Why does the left side mirror have to be an extra and not OEM??? Maruti is being very very cheap.

3. All Swift Cars could benefit from having the Black Contrast A and B Pillars and the option of a contrast roof as well.

4. Why does Maruti always short change consumers on the quality of the HORNS it gives as OEM??

Otherwise I endorse this car and the BEST thing to come out of the Maruti stable until now - given the various positives!
