It is more than a year I purchased Swift. Till date no problem. I enjoy driving the car because of its power and pick up. I wish the interior could have been better. Looking the various models of car on road I beleive it was a right decision.

I am not very satisfied regarding fuel economy of the car. In city it gives between 10 - 11 kmpl. My expectation was probably more. In highway it is almost 16 - 18 kmpl which by all standard is satisfactory. The AC performance at this power in running condition in fourth/fifth gear is good. but in city driving AC performance is not satisfactory.

Gear box pereformance is quite satisfactory. Gear change is very smooth. There is enough leg space for the passenger sitting at the back. Angle and seat depth could have been more comfortable particularly for long driving. This is from my experience of Matiz car I was possessing earlier.

One notable observation - after Swift model was introduced on the road I have observed that other companies are trying to introduce their models nearer to SWIFT.

I would like to say that today I am haapy that I made a decision to buy Swift over other cars! Buying a new car was not very easy job, Swift was not on my list when I started searching but once I had a test drive, I changed my mind and chose to go for it! Though my initial experience with Maruti was not so pleasant, somehow I was in love with the car and finally baught it. It took littlemore than 3 months for Maruti to deliver my Swift ZXi (Petrol) in Mettalic Sunlight Copper color:)... (read as lot of frustration before starting the relationship)

Changing from Santro to Swift was a good change. I now had a bigger car with almost same size. Space is good enough for average indian family of 4. The seats are really comfortable and can give you a good ride even when driving long distances. My ZXi version come with lots of features which were unique when I purchased the car. Audio controls on stearing wheel, Automatic Climate Control, ABS, Airbags, All Alloy wheels to name some of them here... The driver seat comes with all possible adjustments and I could easily adjust my seat for a comfortable position. I felt electronic power stearing is far better than the hydraulic one on my Santro. Because of the wide track of this car, its very stable at higher speeds. The 1.3 lt engine pumps enogh power to the car to keep you seat back and enjoy the ride thro heavy traffic or highways. Once you are conversant with the car you willhave great confidance over it.

Some of the issues I feel Maruti should work on include the initial starting torque of the car is really poor. You will feel need thurst when you are trying to overtake some vehicle. Electronic mirror adjustment is the only feature I feel missing on the car. The climate control opens up the external air circulation once it reaches the desired temperature, this is not so comfortable when you are driving on city roads. The delivery mechanism and the attitude of sales team was very poor. I had all frustration of my life before I got delivery of my car. I had almost made my decision not to buy Maruti car again. Hope my experience with the car changes it again😊

maruti is a family car of small group and it is best & cheap maintenance if you have the biggest ones has to meet so many maintenance expenses. but the fuel is the main. Though the maruti

swift is a small it carries a normal family members to any destination in India If you have the swift then why you worry for the future travel & any family functions,shopping and a very decent one for any officers and it suits for any vips too. I love maruti swift very much & it carries us to anyware for a jolly trip or for any honey moon couple to any hill stations it arrives in time & it talks & walks and moves very well thany anythother production.  Maruti is the best one for any citizen of India and flies apart from any countires.  It satisfies everyones desire and it works money is not matter and services is the life.

I used maruthi suzuki swift and its really give the comfort while driving. Its good for long and city drive also. Road clearence is very good and interior also so nice. Pick up and break is very good and good space inside the car. But i have faced two problems in the car 1.Whenever u turn right or left side the big side beam of the front mirror totally hide the road from our sight. 2. There is a sound come from the back seat and its compalined to them but the people told it will come and its not possible to rectify.

 

Over all its very nice and excellent car and all the future is good and i liike the car very much.

Hi All....

I’ve driven a Daewoo Matiz for over 90K kms (in less than 3 years).... So this one is a Mega Upgrade for me ... ;)

OK .... Its been over a month I’ve bought a New SWIFT VXI... @ (RNS Motors, Bangalore).

* Comfort - 7.5/10 (Rear seats are indeed crampled)
* Power - 9.5/10 (Thats the best part of this Car)
* Mileage - 7.5/10 (So far Not Good)
* Handling - 9/10 (Very Smooth)
* Interiors - 5/10 (Succccks)
* Ground Clearance - 7/10 (watch out for speedbrakers its can skrew up the chasis)

** Comfortwise - Its a OK for me ... My Height (5’10") fits perfect behind the steering wheel.
** Power - Very Powerful indeed ... I’ve tried this trick of 0-100 in 2nd gear (just once) and Its simply amazing. Try It to Believe It....
** Mileage - Driven around 1100 kms so far, 1st service done ... So it would be quite premature to comment on Mileage- To be honest I’ve gotten 12kms/Litre so far, Hopefully would improve after subsequent service’s.
** Handling - Simply superb ...Absolutely 0 noise or Vibrations... I’ve tried to switch on the ignition several times when the engine is already ON :) ...
** Interiors - This is the biggest let down from the company... Very cheap interiors indeed.
** Ground Clearance - Is quite a concern , can damage the lower body mould easily on bigger speedbrakers.

> Some other obsevations (correct me if I am wrong) - Front doors produce the THUD sound quite often.> Vibrations with front speakers fitted on the doors.

Just a Few add-on’s for those who are tryin to upgrade - (I would suggest to go for these add on’s from JC road shops you get the best of the deal) ... At Maruti it would be a Rip Off ....

--- Maruti have provided a facility for 2 Din Players. Gives an awesome look to your indash (I’ve fitted a JVC Double-DIN KW-C838). 7500/- Rs (Grey market price)
--- Visibility thru rear window is an issue ... So Reverse Sensors is a Must. Approx- 3000-5000/- Rs
--- Alloy wheels would definately add to road stability and looks... Go for alloys if it fits your budget. 14000/- to 25000/- Rs.
--- AutoCop - 3500 to 5000/-

Do Not Expect even a Keychain as a compliment from this dealer (RNS) ... Not sure about other dealers in Bangalore ... But Dont expect any free accessories for this Model...These cars are selling like hot cakes (even @ these recessionary times)

To conclude - I should say its a Car for City conditions... Satisfying so far... Stay tuned for more details ...

Power, Handling, Impeccable Pick up...Bad Interiors, ground Clearance, Crampled Rear seats

1. Great Gear box experience (feels like you are driving a high end car). Try driving WagonR/Santro and you will feel the difference.

2. Great Mileage!!. I have been driving on Mumbai-Pune Expressway alongwith some city driving as well. The max mileage was 19 kmpl and the least has been 15 kmpl. The average mileage for me has been 16.5-17 kmpl.(HP Power fuel)

3. Great handling and driving experience. Though you may feel that torque is not that great.However this flat torque helps you in driving at higher gears at lower speeds.

4. Maruti’s after sales service has been good. (Though people say it as excellent, I feel all the dealers of other Car makers should come to at least Maruti Standards considering cost of vehicle is high in India as compared to the Western economies).

5. Great resale value as its a proven car and has Maruti’s name attached to it.

Maruti swift has been one of the best launches of the MUL .Since their emergence in the field of automobile, they have always been upto the expectation of the customer, once more it has been upto the expectation of the customer by bringing maruti swift and maruti swift desire in market.

Maruti swift has not only engulfed the indian territory only but it has  crossed the borders of the country and reached into the forgien markets and has proved its mettle forgien market also.No doubt looking towards its fuel economy,maybe it is costlier but still people all across the country and other countries are prefering maruti swift against some other cars of other auto sector companies.

Demand of MARUTI SWIFT/DESIRE has reached so high that still after booking the vehicle we have to wait for long to receive the car.

This is Angel, After a very long study of various cars, I finally decided to go for SWIFT LDI. Its been since one month I got my car delivered. What can I say????????. Its truly one of the best decisions I have ever made. Since my budget was 5 – 5.5L and since it happened to be my first car I did a lot of study about the cars. I short listed SWIFT LDI, VDI, VXI, i20 and yes I also had Ford Fiesta and Ford Ikon in mind didn’t bother to extent my budget for Ford. Then I rejected i20 because I can get a diesel car (SWIFT LDI) for the same rate at least my running cost and maintenance will be less and also i20 comes with 1200 cc engine the same kappa engine of i10 but swift comes with 1300 cc which made me to reject i20. Since the petrol cars which I short listed were in the price range of SWIFT LDI, I thought I can go for it for the above said reason. Ford heavy in pocket, Hyundai bothered about the maintenance and quality. Maruti yes !!!!!!! GOOD TRUST. This is one big reason. Then finally landed with SWIFT LDI/VDI. Only for few facilities I didn’t want to go for VDI. Though initially I was not too impressed about Swift shape. I decided to buy it because I read a hell lot of + + + + + + about the car. So finally I took one. As soon as I bought the car I took it straight to the shop and fixed all the necessary accessories to it. And it looks amazing now……….Now about the car………..

true VALUE FOR MONEYSuspension

Hi,

I have brought Swift Glam on 11/07/09 as soon as it is launch in market. It cost me 5,25,000 on road in Dombivli.

At present it is only petrol version.It is a upgrade version off VXI with free CD player, remote keyless entry, two color dash board & with beige interiors.

It took me another 15K for other assessories like seat cover, color coat, & engine coat & others.

Performance wise it is very comfortable, stable, best for driving.

Till now i have covered 1000 km but i have not checked average.

I feel it is having less boot space for rear seats, it should have tilt stearing & should have height adj. for driver seat.
