Fine with me. Some may not be happy with the rear look. Its matter of time and people will get used to the rear looks. Remember Santro when first launched?
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Excellent. Ample leg space for average Indian height. Some reviews speak of less leg space but I cant understand why they say so ? May be they are very tall.
Boot space adequate for a small family. 60:40 split rear is convenient
The width of the car is bigger than i10 and almost matches that of i20 or Jazz. Both are wider by few cms 2-3 cms approx. You cannot expect the space of a sedan in hatchback.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Gear shifts are fine but still not very smooth. I hope it can be made more smooth. Not checked on fuel economy. Pick up is good. Nicely powered. Do not feel the lag when AC is switched on.
Ride Quality & Handling
Excellent front view. Nice power steering. Comfortable rear seating.
Final Words
Its an excellent buy. ZXi has almost all the goodies. AC/heater/power steering/power windows/2 air bags/ABS and EBD/ driver seat adjuster/tilt steering/alloy wheels and tubeless tyres/stereo with 4 speakers and other small lil things. Tell me any other car at this price where u get all these things. I am sure you wont be disappointed after buying this car. I personally feel that this a good car-space, comfort and safety.
Areas of improvement
Wish the rear view from driver side was wide. Maruti engineers need to work on this rear aspect. It needs restructuring of tail lamps and widening of the rear glass.
I wish they had fixed a better sounding horn. Automatic climate control can be added if cost does not rise too much.
I wish the box around the gear shift can be narrowed a bit to give more space to spread the legs while driving.

Exterior Neat looks. Though initially it looks like a geometrical disaster yet the look gels in well in a while and you appreciate the features.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious. the only car I have sat in till now in the mid-segment where a guy of 5'11" could sit directly behind a guy of 5"11' inches without any discomfort. Intelligent placement of Dash and music system. Gives you a very roomy feeling and at no t ime do you feel claustrophobic. Sounding alarm if keys left in car and driver door opened and sounding alarm if Headlights are left on and driver door opened are two nice features.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Doesn't lag with the AC. Decent fuel economy(though only driven 720 kms). Good placement of gear box and a smooth gear change. The Reverse gear takes some time to be smooth but it evens out.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent ride quality, Was on a 800 before and had test driven Figo, i10, Alto and i20 but Ritz took the cake when it came to ride quality. All the mentioned cars were driven on the same stretch of a dusty , broken up and potholed road and Ritz was the best when it ame to overall ride quality. Exceptional performance on highways. Really smooth.
Final Words I am driving a ZXI version and it is a beauty. Great ride quality and excellent interior space. For people who are not concerned about ABS, airbags and Height adjustment on driver seat can also go for GENUS - which is a special design variant costing about 50K lesser. Genus comes only in one colour - Emerald blue but a really nice buy as well.
Areas of improvement Such a car deserves a higher high speed and maybe the engine can be worked upon to take it to 180kms. Colour combinations could be improved.
Interior space, Ride quality,Would have preffered to have more colours. Horn could have been better.

Exterior Looks good . Now people are getting used to the design of this car as it happened with the WagonR / Swift when they were launched.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good. There is enough space for 5 Adults and luggage for outings.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is good with good amount of torque to pull 5 Adults and luggages. Car reaches 80 - 90 KMPH within no time. Fuel economy is good getting 20 -21 on highways and 17-18 in city with A/c on. Have driven upto 130 KMPH , felt still some more energy in the engine. Havedriven continuously 300 kms without break. Not felt tired. Gearbox is good , only the reverse gear engagement is little troublesome at some point, most of the time the reverse gear engagement is fine.
Ride Quality & Hand ling Ride quality is fine.Feels very comfortable / confident in the speed range of 80 - 100 KMPH.
Final Words Would definitely recommend for buyers who want fuel economy and comfort.
Areas of improvement Reverse gear engagement need to be made more precise.

Exterior I am a 6 ft tall guy & the best part is the tall boy design which makes the car easy to get in & out which is not even in case of honda city which we also owe.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Huge dash board gives a feeling of a really big car, top mounted tachometer gives sporty look, gear shifting is also very convenient.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent performance after 2K rpm it shoots like a rockets & you forget being in a desiel car.
Ride Quality & Handling Amazing ride quality both in the city & on highways. having compact design its easy to park in the car & big types gives great comfort on highways.
Final Words True value for money, you'll almost forget about fuel consumption colomn in your expense.

I had my Ritz VXi delivered a month back and so far done over 1200 kms in city driving alone... So thought this would be a right time to post my initial ownership... Here goes my experience...
Exterior As per many Ritz is not a good design considering its rear shape.. But I found that is something different than usual and it gives a style of its own.. They call the design to be of an ARROW, which can be easily observed if one looks at the car from the sides.. The front design of the car gives the car a bigger look... My neighbors i10 standing next to mine looks small when compared to Ritz.. It gives you a feel that you are driving a big car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interiors of the car is better when compared to any other Maruti car in the hatch segment. Still miss a utility boxes on the driver side. There is a small utility box available(V & Z versions only), which I did not use it till date.
The prime reason why I choose this car against any other car in its segment is the space and comfort that it offers.. Being a tall boy, the interior is very roomy. My mom having knee problems found it quite easy to get in and off this car, than compared to any other hatch till date. AC is quite powerful.. It can cool the cabin quickly. Three persons can be easily accomodated in the rear.. Boot space is quite small, but the split rear gives you an option to extend it.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is peppy and fun to drive.. Being a novice driver I found it quite easy to have a good hold of the car. The gear handle is very conveniently placed.. The gear throws are short and gives a good experience. Rarely I face issues in gear shift.. Not a major concern though. FE appears to be good enough for a new car. I am getting approx 13 kmpl with 100% ac on. considering that the car had just done 1200 kms, hoping that the mileage would improve.
Ride Quality & Handling Being a novice driver I found the handling to be too easy. Was finding it difficult for the initial few KMs. But from then riding had been a pleasure. Having driven mostly in City, I found this to be a good city car. the suspension can absorb pot holes quiet well. One area of concern would be the thick A pillar.. One should take a good test drive of this car and make them comfortable with this, as the thisk pillar is prone to create blind spots.. Having driven for quite sometime now, I do not find that as an issue anymore.
Final Words Good Car. Value for money.. Spacious & Cofort.

I have bought a Ritz Vxi car on December 30, 2010, and this happened to be my first car. It was running fine till I gave it to Maruti Suzuki service station (in July 2011) for getting second service done. Within few days of second service, I started experiencing more than usual engine noises which I ignored as I was unaware of what it can be. When one of my friend was travelling with me in my car, he warned me that this could be a big issue, and I should get it inspected as soon as possible.
From then, I have been struggling with Maruti Customer Care and service stations to get my issue resolved. This whole process has deteriorated my vehicles condition and has cost me a lot in terms of money, time and stress. Everybody at Maruti is trying to defer this issue without proper replies and are putting me into endless loops of communication. Some of the incidents which happened are:
1. I was asked to get engine overhauling done even when the car was covered in warranty and had run only for approx. 4500 Kms. If I had agreed, it would have resulted in its lower market value.
2. When I demanded to get my complete engine replaced, I was promised that they would replace entire engine along with all its major components like engine head, etc.
3. When I went to deposit my car for engine replacement, I was asked for INR 6000, against the lathe job work desired. Although, there isno need of Lathe job when engine is replaced. If I didn't know this, they would have cheated me and I had to lose my 6000 Rupees.
4. When I visited service station to see the state of my vehicle, I was shocked to see that only half engine assembly was getting replaced, which was against promise made to me. I had to get the replacement work stopped in my interest.
5. After this course, many new problems surfaced in my vehicle, some of them are: fog lamps are not working properly, wind blower knobs became defective, orientation of steering wheel got changed, wheel covers got damaged, clock adjustment system is not working, etc. I believe there may be many more problems which occured in my vehicle's engine, which I can't see.
Thus, many cheating attempts have been made against me by Maruti Suzuki service stations.
I also suspect that this entire problem is a side effect of the second service, as I was not warned against this when I got the second service done.
This has forced me to lose my trust in Maruti Suzuki, and I am no longer willing to keep any association with Maruti in future.

I have also copied Mr. Mayank Pareek, Executive Director in Maruti Suzuki (as per his Linked In Profile) in my recent communications but that also appeared to be of no help.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) My Ritz Lxi , Limited features, however all provision is available only put money for features, Space is very good for 5 person journey Interior Plastic quality is very good hard plastics, comfort is very good due to high seating, Ritz use for multi purpose vehicle car to car and commercial to cimercial there are 236 litre boot space it is enught and 60:40 split seat for one time 6 passenger journey about 1000 KM head room is very nice Soulder room is very nice it is mixing between Wagon-R and Swift.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox You have take a coffee in rear seat @ 100 KMPH, Engine is quite refined, I was driven @140 PH no engine or body sound in inner room, only tyre sound, Fireing is like heavy vehicle, Fuel Economy overall 16.80 with 100% AC on. Gear box possition nice fiting.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good Power Stearing awesome, It is Highway car for performence, also city is good Car Weight 1005 KG higher than new Swift
Final Words I have suggest to all, buy a Ritz or Swift. It is best for performance, highway city driving, resale, good service Pls. dont purchase Hyundai I10 (small car than RITZ), or Chevrolet Beat, Hyundai best car is only Verna fludic and Chevrolet best car is CRUZ also Kataria Dealer is no 1 in Gujarat.
Areas of improvement Atleast given front Power Window and Manual Central locking on price 4.7 Lac on road. Nadiad/Ahmedabad. also improve K-12 with VVT engine, i.e. already available in New Swift.

Exterior The ritz is a futuristic designed car.And,the aerodynamic shape helps in handling.The ground clearence is good for Indian roads.It looks like a boss in comparison to it's rivals.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are very spacious and comfortable.Legroom is very good.The tall boy design is very helpful for tall ,healthy and aged people.No other car in this segment,specially in diesel has tall boy design .Though it lacks boot space,which is very annoying.And,I don't know why Maruti has not provided Ritz(vdi) with common features like power mirrors,day night rear view cabin mirror,remote lock,music system,boot light etc. The much below priced Wagon R(vxi),A Star(vxi),Estilo (vxi)has all of them .I hope Maruti will load all the features in the coming new ritz.

As usual indians, I also quite confused before deciding my second car choice, my first car was M800 I drove almost 1 Lakh KMs in that, I decided to give it to my dad. I am in to sales and marketing field so I use car very often close to 50km per day. So after and R&D I arrived Ritz Vdi is a best choice for me. So I have booked and got my Ritz Vdi on March 2012.
Exterior Projected Exterior on the tyre side allways getting scaratch by the pass by vehicles. I have got 10 scratch with in 10months on the edges
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space and comfort is very good. 70:30 seat foldable is a good option for carrying more lugguge.
Leg room and rear seat comfort is very good. Tall boy design is for easy access for the elder peoples to get in and out of car, and good head room for tall perples like me.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is quite good more than 2000 rpm. Performance in city i gets 14kpl, on high way 18kpl. I drove 14000km till now. No issues with engines.
Ride Quality & Handling Execellent for long driving.
Final Words Ritz is a complete good family car.
Areas of improvement Can be improved the projected area in the tyre cover can be reduced.
