I would have never bought a Ritz, if I hadn't driven it to test. The reluctance was mnostly for the look of the rear side. But once I was under the wheel I was thoroughly conviced that I would own one. The easiness to get in and get out, the comfortably positioned and ergonomically designed seating etc. offer a cool experioence.
The drivability of the car is great. Its a your close crony both on the city roads and on the highways. The diesel engine by FIAT is awsome (It's now called as the national engine of India!) Almost every Maruti diesel cars use the same engine. I gert a satisfying milage of 22 + on highways. The pick up is amazing especially once the turbo is unleashed.
The sturdiness of the car is worth mentioning. Combined with the aerodynamic body it helps to hug on the road in higher speeds. (Specs show that it is heavier than Swift).
Now the, looks, yes, initially it was heavily criticised for the look of the rear. In fact it is a more advanced design than Swift. (In Europe the car is named Splash). Indian psyche always accepts things slowly, that's why during launching the acceptance of the car was not that good.
And the negatives: Boot space is a limting factor (though the split seat offers a relief). Even if the steering is EPS, it is not that smooth.
To conclude, a good car offers driving pleasure, comfortable commuting and great value for money.

Exterior Good as a tall boy image and robust looking body but the front grills doesnot look godd -very old fashioned like low budget car. it must be improved, may be modified like swift/volkwagon polo.In LXI varriant door handle/rear view mirror should be atleast provided with body coloured.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is really of good quality with lot of space and leg room even for a man of 6 feet or more. Dashboard look gives the feeling as if u are really driving a premium car.Again LXI varriant rearseat may also be provided with headrest atleast. and rear parcel tray as these little things project the car/company very cheap brandvalue.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performace is really extraordinary in its class of vehicles. IT is the engine performance which makes this car a power packed hatchback car. one can only feel it as soon as one gets behind the wheels throtles the engine. Fuel efficiency is again not so good but it is justified with such a powerpacked engine. gear box is fine. there is a little bit of problem with reverse gear sometimes.
Ride Quality & Handling Car has a great stability and ride control with high speed at highways even without cruisecontrol it gives secured feeling to rider. a real highway car.
Final Words A real value for money in terms of performace, interior, space , and comfort with reasonable stabilty at high speed. But company should do something with its front grills/looks.
Areas of improvement Front grill look must be made like swift / volkswagon polo and more, not so costly basic features must also be added in LXI/LDI versions, like rear seat headrest and body coloured door handles and rear view mirror.
Space and comfort inside with high sitting position, good pick up and stability with high speed.Fuel efficiency, front grills, less basic feature with lxi modelఎక్స్టీరియర్/స్టైల్స్

I am a owner of maruti RITZ VXI model Registration no is DL 6 XXXXXXX purchased it on last September 2014,As my third service was due So approached to Magic auto pvt ltd. A-93 Mayapuri phase -2, for servicing for rectification of some problem 1- while changing the gear there was some sound from gear box, The driver from maruti came to my home , He noted everything like meter reading, Fuel, Scratches on body after that he suggested me to change the oil, align tyre, I agreed only for changing oil not aligning tyre, after that reply from driver was that warranty will not be valid for future as I have taken extended warranty, then when I talked to service center then they confirmed its not like that, then driver took my car to service center and after servicing he delivered the car on same date with broken door visor & Dent on top of the car, Seems like something fallen on top of the car, when I talked to driver, as per driver the dent & Broken visor was already there when he took the car from my home, now I have question to company if car visor was broken & dent was there, why it was not reported when he took the car from me, the fact is that it was broken in maruti.
Now they have taken my car since 5th October 2015, till today 9th October I have not received any call from them and everyday I am following them & word from them what I hear is I will drop your car tomorrow, but I don’t know when that movement will come to get my car, I think this is the worst serviced that I have got this experience from magic auto from mayapuri.
And I will not suggest any one to give a car to mayapuri & the behavior of the staff is too much rude, if you ask about the status of the car then answer will be “ I am also having car ‘ worst service. I am too much flustered from their service.
I request the concern person to treat this matter on urgent basis.

Exterior Although design is a matter of personal choice, I feel it's a good, a very good looking car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior are great, may it be seating, it's powerful AC, getting in & out of car, window height & strach, cabin insulation, high setting, stearing, gear nob possition. everything is perfect.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Friends, a am writing this review after driving my Ritz for 43000 KM during last 4 years. and the reason behind writing this review today is very simple, I want to showcase my love for my car even after 4+ year & 43000 KM of driving.
before finalising the decision of buying Ritz in May-2011, un-biasly i took test-drive of many car's, to name few.
a) i10 & Accent
b) Beat & Uva
c) Indica & Indigo
d) Punto
e) Swift & Ritz
I must agree to the fact that both MS vehicle i like the most followed by Beat & Uva, looking to the practicallity, i opted for Ritz, and that proved to be a very wise decision.
Till date my mix average is 16 km / ltr with city driving being at 14 km/ltr & highway between 18 to 19 km/ltr. Even after 43000 km, it's makhan (it drive so smooth)
I am loving it & even if I buy another car, I will continue to keep this car with me.
Ride Quality & Handling I can say, it's the best in it's class. You can't judge it without being behind the wheels.
Final Words It's the best car in it's segment, full value for money.
Areas of improvement I actually can't say, i am in full love with this vehicle, recently i took test drive of ford fiesta & ciaz, but can't observe any difference in power delivery (of petrol engine). I don't actually feel anything is missing in Ritz.

Hi all, Took two test drives of the Ritz before finally settling in on booking the Vxi today. Due to the waiting delivery would be only on dassera, end of september. The car is extremely smooth and has a peppy feel to it (thanks to the 85 bhps), very roomy feel and good leg room at the rear too. Pick up is good though it really gets going in 3rd. Dashboard is contemporary and chic, esp the positioning of the gear. Interiors are neat and give a warm feel to the dashboard. Very quiet engine cant even be heard when ignition is turned on. Handling is decent and little body roll but only on sharp turns taken a high speeds. The power steering is so calibrated that is feels lighter to touch at the lower gears and plateaus out on gears 4 and 5. Helps in controlling the car better. Due to the high head room the car gives a very roomy and large feel, thereby cutting out the air of claustrophobia other cars in this segment might have. also, the cooling of the AC is faster to the rear seats precisely for the same reason. Will know more only on delivery and after 1st servicing. But overall its a good car. Finally got delivery of the car on the 11th of October. It is indeed an amazing piece of machinery, though still getting used to the vehicle. Amazing drivability. Not encountered any body roll so far in spite of the tall boy design. Will know of the average when I go in for a 2nd tank refill. Have got a Panasonic deck with USB, iPod, and bluetooth capability, and installed 2 JBL component speakers.
