not that great ! satisfactory !

First of all buying experience : The maruti salesman gave us the date of delivery but went to a trip and kept out future car's paper in a locked almirah in the showroom whose key was with specific people who were not available on the delivery date. It was akshay tritiya ! well after a lot of complaints and my father getting very angry... we finally recieved our car after 3 houre on the same date. I am talking about Uma motors mathura, uttar pradesh ! After purchasing , the riding experience of a K series engine is great , you get a good pickup and a responsive acceleration. I don't know if it legible to mention but I like My alto K10's driving experience better than Baleno ! yes you read it right.. better than baleno.. the latter one might be a great car but i liked alto in terms of riding much better. The looks of the car are great and vary from person to person. I initially didn't like the new also k10 but after time .. i started loving it ! Now comes a great car factor that everyone observes and takes into consideration .... AVERAGE ! you dont get 24kmpl average ! hehe.. obviously.. thats an ARAI condition economy .. i normally get 10 or 12 or 14 in city depending on the traffic and 16-18 on highway ! once i calculated the economy when we were on long high way trip the economy went upto 20kmpl.. but never got more than that. A bigger factor that people ignore is SAFETY ! i would say fuel economy is almost same for cars with 1.0L or 1000cc engines .. but look for other safety features, its build quality and accessibility ! maruti cars are pathetic and worst in safety in india ! in europe they sell swift with 6 airbags but in india ... well you know.. safety and build quality is the issuewith all maruti cars thats the reason i recommend not to buy them ! It been more then 3 years with our alto k10 and it works like charm but their are various flaws in this car ...various ! I will be mentioning them in cons. Pros of alto k10: 1.ride experience is good and better than renault kwid ! 2. easy maintenance , only involves yearly engine oil change , ac filter change if necessary and other minor maintenance only if needed ! maruti cars are comparatively easy on pockets than other brands. 3 i like the dark steel grey color of maruti cars .. i like their metallic finish colors .. so do i love of my car's too ! 4. although my car has basic 2 speaker audio system but i like it a lot, and i am pretty sure it wont disappoint you. Cons : this car has lots of cons .. lot of ! 1. fuel economy is not that great as expected. 2. the service guys are pathetic .. you need to be very attentive and require lot of surveillance during your car's else service else they just change oil and check minor things like brakes , ac working which is over hauling and easy task for them and get the car going.. they don't love their work a lot .. so you need to look for stuff your car needs. 3. AC is good but during harsh noon , your AC might suffer to cool ! 4. The comfort in this car is bad .. very bad ! either its a manufacturing defect with it or something else but the suspension is very bad ! you feel pot holes and breakers a lot. 5. the space in this car is less. The boot space is ridiculously less compared to kwid which has much better boot capacity . also the leg room and wideness of seats is not that great... this car should not be the one for people with height more than 5'8' .. i am 5'7" but i struggle to sit with comfort ! The car is not for long journey.... we normally travel from mathura to meerut i e. around 450 km whole trip and we get tired like hell ! The car is fine for city but i recommend automatic version. 6. during night driver struggles to view the scene, as the mirror used is not of good quality and the wind shield is too dispersive. But you can get the mirrors and shields get changed. 7. All the reasons might not be the deal breaker but the biggest of them is safety ! my car has been met with minor crash and injuries but everytime its low quality metal sheet gets damaged and we have to to get it fixed in insurance ! The build quality is really bad ! 8. Car is not to be meant ridden at speed more than 80kmph , at 100kmph you feel engine speaking please forgive me .. please ! but is good to have safe and happy journey. while buying just checkout renault kwid, tiago and datsun redi-go ! I will prefer tiago anytime... spend a little bit more but you get great driving experience , great safety , almost same fuel economy and a great design and space ! and TATA is an indian brand , so good for indians.
