90000 kms driven

Today I'm writing this review about my entry level hatch back car the 2015 Alto 800 LXI which completed 90000 kilometers today. The first impression of this car is beyond expectations from the designers. They work really hard for the car and to make this car stand out loud in the crowd. The Alto or 800 makes people think of the old models of 800 and the Alto. But today's Alto 800 is a perfect blend of those two models. The car came out with the petal shaped head lamps and now in 2017 this Alto 800 also got provision of fog lamps which were missed in the earlier models. This car is perfect for daily commuters and also be used as a small family car. This hatchback model is perfect for easy driving in crowded city conditions and easy to park even in small parking space. Now lets come to the interiors. The plastic used in the dashboard and the door pads will not give you the premium feel but in this price range it is very good. Simple controls, light steering makes people to drive effortlessly. The seats aren't well padded but they were somewhat comfortable. But people over 6 feet may suffer with the under thigh support and the headroom in the rear seat. The bottle holder and the cup holder just before the gear knob might give you trouble in accessing it while driving and the door pockets is just enough to store some maps or folders. If you want pocket behind the front seats then you have to get a seat cover with that. Now let's talk about how it drives, as this car got a 0.8L petrol engine it got a very good amount of torque and power 69BHp, 48ps respectively. But the engine doesn't always eager to rev up. It always wants to rev smoothly. While the AC is on the lower end power is quite disappointing. After the 2000rpm it will respond much faster. The cabin is not very much insulated so you will hear all the road noises created by the tyres. The engine is not so quite but it is a very smooth unit. You can hear the revs from the cabin. This car is not suitable for high speed driving. You'll easily loose your confidence after 80kmph mark as the steering wheel is so light with a lack of feedback. In sharp turnings it has body roll. But the gear box is pretty much smooth. As a entry level car this car is the best and for new drivers this car help them to built up their driving skills. The after sales service is also very good, and Alto 800 is the car with very low maintenance cost. Some information about accessories I installed all the accessories from the dealer. They really help me to choose the right thing for my car. As the basic kit delivered by the dealer only consist with a steering cover, mud flaps, floor cut mats and a glass cleaning liquid. I installed a music system of Pioneer and 4 Sony speakers 2nos 4 inch for front doors & 2nos 6 inch oval for rear parcel tray. I have to install a AC filter as the filter doesn't came with the car. I also installed Nippon remote security system. People suggest to buy accessories from out market but the dealer accessories are also good.
