Interior Space Its good for the Front 2 seats, but bit less spacy for the behind 3 seats.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy Its having a good pickup, may be bit less than your, Eon & wagon-R. Excellent fuel economy, no matter how u handle it ( good for rough drives too).
Ride Quality & Handling Really a good riding comfort for whoever having much experience with small cars. Handling is not much difficult as it's having less turning radius and bit less width...
Final Words Really a good driving experience with Maruti Suzuki Alto Lx. Even i have driven few, i10, WagonR & Ion, i don't think it makes much difference between these 4 cars in view point of driving, another important thing i want to share is, An "i10" with Power steering having the same comfort levelin driving ( ease of steering ) of an "Alto without Power steering". but only thing is i10 having bit more pickup than Alto.

I bought Alto K 10 VXI in April. So far I have driven 2500 kms. My experience with the car is good. It is far better than ordinary Alto.
Actually I was in a dilemma which car to buy. Options were Indica, Santro, Alto, Spark. I had test drives of all. But ultimately chose this Alto K 10 VXI.
The engine is good. I felt some problem with the clutch. I am going to VITESSE shortly to address this problem.
The pick up is nice. No need to switch off A/c while overtaking like ordinary Alto :) :) . If you go out of city you will enjoy the drive. In the city traffic, one cannot experience it.
But it is not economical. I am not satisfied with the average.
Still a good car for city drive. I have found it far better than Santro.

Exterior Very good colour sunlight copper, but rear view mirrors are not same as body color
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good space at both rear and front. good leg space. very comfortable.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very good mileage. 15 km/lt in city drive. gear shifting is very smooth and soft.
Ride Quality & Handling Riding quality is really enjoyable. maneuvering is very easy. And easy to drive in thick traffic.
Final Words On the whole, it is really very good and worth for the amount spent on the vehicle. excellent. I feel really proud and happy to own this ALTO K10 VXI (sunlight copper color). I have driven this car long for quite few times. ie from Chennai to Pondicherry three times, and to Trichy one time. It gave a very good mileage for me. It is very comfortable in driving the car in the city traffic. gives absolutely no strain even if u drive long.
Areas of improvement All windows power window, Central locking - can be done.

Hello friends i m newbie to car arena. I just bought the 2nd hand from my cousin. Can u please guide me about do's n donts. It was the largest selling car from 02-10, the best part is its mileage I get somewhere 15-17 despite the car is 5 years old and it ran somewhere 75000 kilometers. I have driven few hundreds of kilometers, m quite liking the car. Specially the wiper feature which washes the car in front. & d best part of alto is that we can manage the car roam here and there in very less space unlike swift n other big cars m quite enjoying the drive. The drawback may be is while driving in the rains. I cant see anything in the rear mirror. When do I service a car in 4-5k kilometers? which oil should I opt for ? which things should I kept in mind....?

I bought Alto Lx last year,Its fine but i found nothing when i comopare it with Maruthi 800.I wasted 1lkh extra.I dont find any special things other than exterior look.Its cool to ride maruthi 800 rather than this Alto.There's nothing difference betten 800 and Alto except the outlook.If u r planning for an Alto,I can better advice u not to get it,rather u can buy maruthi 800 (5 speed).. its good.Because why we have to give almost 1lkh more for a car which has the same engine and performance compare to maruthi 800.Its mere waste of money.If Maruthi would have improve the CC of Alto engine to 1000,then we would've plan for this Alto.If ur choice is alto then buy maruthi 800 until u find any improvement in ALTO.

Exterior: OK, but can be made better Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Not very special, OK for a economy car. Comfort is less. There is no enough leg space. Becomes very uncomfortable even for person with average hight. Makes more uncomfortable for longer journey.Car is OK for 4 persons including driver. Ideal for small family i.e Parent and two small children.Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Bad Pick-up with AC ON, smooth even at 80 kmph
Ride Quality & Handling: is OK and is as it should be in low priced cars.
Final Words: Not comfortable for long drives
Areas of improvement: Need to provide more space. Pick-up with AC ON needs to be improved. In all good car, economic car, Dash-board instruments can be in centre instead of below staring, so that the driver can be kept in control from fast driving, specially for driver driven vehicles, Looking ast the increasing Petrol cost, Maruti should come out with two more versions diesel as well as CNG
The car has very small luggage space and if the family has to travel out-station for a week, cannot carry much baggage.

Exterior I purchased K10 from SK cars salem, XPLORE edition with Spoiler, Attractive stickers. The exterior is good and decent looking like a Formal professional car with decent back, front and side view, NOT LIKE AStar, Beat having very small rear windows AND I20, Micra when viewed from back side not haveing a decent look, FIGO's external appearence is good. But it is too costly than K10 and also the Mileage is VERY POOR.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features: Double din stereo, Front power windows BUT not at the back (OK can adjust for the price), AC is too good, it spreads too fast, Heater is also good. I would say the features for this money is good.
Space: I would not say that the space is more but its ok, you cant expect more in a small car, the space is better than EON, Spark and beat. The boot space, rear space and the front spave too is good.
Comfort: With the features the comfort is good for this amount of money with almost 1000 cc (998 cc)
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox For this amount of money with almost 1000 cc (998 cc), the pick up is good. in 2nd gear i compared beteen I10, it almost the same, good pick up. One should put the gear in the correct speed for better pick up. I can really say that the engine gets tuned to the way i drive, i can guareentee you that with good pick up i can drive without any shaking while shifting between gears both ascending and descending. It got tuned to the way i drove - EXCELLENT. Gear box too is superb. (People facing pick up problems should be the ones who are not shifting the gear at the right time.) I lve the K10 engine. even i drove from salem to chennai. The mileage is TOO GOOD. one should drive shifting the correct gear at the correct speed for BEST PERFORMACE AND MILEAGE. i got superb mileage.
Ride Quality & Handling The quality of riding is good, Even driving in a fast speed applying the brakes, it stops smoothly. I drove the car at 110-115. i was able to handle the car cool. Again saying one should know to shift the gear at the right speed and your handling and mileage and performace is TOO GOOD.
Final Words WORTH FOR MONEY. Alto the most successfuly car right from 2004 till 2011 and 12. This alto with the new K10 engine is the best worth for money.
Areas of improvement Power rear windows, horn sound to be improved.

Final Words Its good to drive Maruti Alto K10 VXI, due to its smooth ride and cool look. But following are some Bad points which are to be noticed.
The material used for Cup Socket (provided between two front seats), is of poor quality. The doors generally do not operate smoothly. Poor pick-up when A.C. is on. Many times, car closes down its engine, when is on 1st gear, specially when A.C. is on. This is hilighted when Car has been provided with 1000 cc engine (earlier version of Alto has 800 cc engine).
In the Car of this range, some more facilities have to be provided, sich as 4 power windows. In built music system.
Areas of improvement Quality of material used in interiors to be improved. Pick-up in A.C. to be improved. 04 power windows and inbuilt music system are to be provided with. Duel fuel facility (Petrol and LPG) are to be provided.
