Exterior Very good especially the side view and the front lights.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Beautiful front panel with red lights (if the lights were blue it would have been even good).
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good pickup, but when the AC is on you will feel the loss of power,smooth gearbox,good mileage.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth handling even on the curves.
Final Words After a lot of research I purchased A Star VXi. I am more satisfied with the car. I see no problem in parking the car even in congested market. When the AC is on you will feel the loss of power you have to shift to the lower gear .Can be handled very easily. The only problem is the boot space and rear leg space. After I purchased the car two of my friends purchased the same.Please do not compare A Star with other cars like the i 10. Both cars have diffrent features and specifications. If you have a family of four (including children)and frequently you are on tour then rethink (only about the boot space)
Areas of improvement Boot space, rear leg space.

I buy a-star in 2 dec 2008 when it is launch And with alloye wheel my car give milage in highway is 20.72 kmpl and in city it give 18 kmpl and ireach top speed 163 kmph in chandigarh to una highway its car realy awsome good stability in road no vibarte when I reach 163 kmph in highway a/c give best cooling in this segment I have also i10 i10 average in highway is 16kmpl and in city 13kmpl and top speed is 155kmph i10 is a family boring car and I want to sell this car but main problem is poor resale value in between both car I used but I prefer a-star good mileage, comfort, stability, and very very good sespenstion its awsome only one problem in a-star is bootspace is very small but this car is full value for money.
I have done 40000 km right now its a awsome car in between a-star and i10 ..a-star is best car no doubt.

Exterior Its a personal choice, but A STAR is a small and fast car with a nice look almost like a small sports car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good space for the driver and front passenger. Seat height adjustment is really helpful for the driver.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox In city with peak traffic and 100% AC on I get a mileage of 13 km/litre. On highways with AC on I get a milegae of 17. Dont understand why people say that we cannot get good mileage in Auto transmissions. Pick up is a bit slow when accelerating from 10kmph to 30kmph, but after 30 or 40 KMPH its zooms fast. There is no doubt about the engine as it has Maruti's super successful K series engine.
Ride Quality & Handling I have driven it around 120 kmph and its absolutely stable and smooth. Small turning radius so very easy to handle.
Final Words Fantastic choice not just for heavy traffic conditions but also for Highways. Mileage is more then expected in terms of Automatic Cars. ASTAR beats i10 and i20 easily beacuse of its low maintenance cost. i10 gives 8-9 km/lt mileage and ASTAR is far better. AC is also very good.
Areas of improvement Bigger boot will be good.

Well I purchased A-star VXI 6 months back on 21-Aug-2012.Being a novice in driving, I could not pin point the plus and minus at the beginning. However, post 6 months I am an extremely satisfied with A-Star. Primary reason to opt for A-Star was being a Maruti child and take my words it delivers. I feel extremely comfortable in what is being called "Couple's Car"
Exterior
The aerodynamic shape, curvy look make this car a watchable one. The head lamps and its rear part are what I like most.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
The interior design falls into a very decent and simple hatchback design though I have heard Maruti has come up with few modifications in 2012 model which will only enhance the interior design.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
With K Series petrol engine, the engine perforrmance adds to the driving pleasure.
Ride Quality & Handling
The vehicle is equipped with MacPherson Strut and Coil Spring type of suspension system that results in efficient handling while driving. With front ventilated disc and rear drum type of brakes, the handling becomes easy.
Final Words
For a car lover believing in compact car, I would go with A-star as a car of youth with comfort, price economy and fuel economy(a maruti trademark) at a affordable burden on your pocket.

really nice design,fully aerodynamic,Frint headlamps gives it a robust design and really nice look....Front grill looks awesome with heading Suzuki logo.

Easy gear shift and electronic power steering is nice...It provides really goof feel while driving on highways with antilock braking system...gear shift is much better than WagonR and Hyundai Santro....

Turning radius is very good.....Mounting of steering is the key for its perfect handling...Also the suspensions are nice....and the ground clearance is nice which is perfect for indian roads.
Final Words
Givers comfortable ride with ease of handling and good pickup....also the AC is good.It really feels nice when this kind of cars come with Antilock braking system which provides sheer driving pleasure
Areas of improvement
It could be better in terms of pricing....should be available in atleast 50,000 less than its current market price so that it could get into the competition with wagonR and other cars of the same segment like Beat and Figo.

Exterior is just perfect with lots of styling, body bumpers are not matching for the LXi variant that makes a little difference though!
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are good but could have done wid the blue and greyish tone...more sophistication like beige interiors would had been excellent. No music system provided with the LXI variant..but the upper models too boast of a dated music system wid no usb..so integrated music system is best avoided. The LXi should have the head rest..it becomes a liitle problematic for longer journeys.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox engine perfomance is excellent, but the gear seems a liitle bit problematic at low speeds but overall great pickup and driving pleasure.
Ride Quality & Handling Great car with the best value for money..riding it is a pleasure and pride as well!
Final Words Great Car needs more appreciation than what it is getting...better than most of the hatchbacks in the price range...recommended highly for self drive..
Areas of improvement A liitle more height would had been great! and headrest on the rear seats would had been great!

Final Words I own a scorpio mhawk hybrid and astar ZXI(2009).Me and my frns were traveelign back to my homecity after attending our frnd's bros's marriage.My frnd was riding astar and there were 4 more in the car and he was driving at a speed of 160-170kmph with a load of 5 ppl and the car was not shaking a bit and i was travelling behind the astar in scorpio. I was amazed by its pickup and speed and my scorpio was shaking a bit but not the small hunk. And braking system is also very good in the small car . I usually drive very fast even in city or in highway but this small devil never let me down when im in need of some very immediate and safe braking.
Areas of improvement Change of headlights astar front looks like mickey mouse and also bootspace

THE ORIGINAL CAR SHOWN IN THE AUTO EXPO WAS VERY GOOD. BUT THE ORIGINAL DESIGN WAS LOST IN THE PRODUCTION LINE AND WHAT MARUTI IS GIVING NOW IS AN ORDINARY LOOKING CAR. MARUTI BOASTS OF ITS AVERAGE OF 19.6 KM/LTR BUT ASK THOSE WHO HAVE PURCHASED IT. ACTUALLY IT IS GIVING AN AVERAGE OF 11-12 KM/LTR. I AM FACING LOTS OF PROBLEMS AFTER PURCHASING IT. PICK UP IS BAD SPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE ASCENDING A BRIDGE ETC. ITS PRICE IS MUCH HIGHER. I THINK MARUTI WAGON-R, ALTO AND ZEN ESTILO ARE MUCH MORE SPACIOUS, GOOD LOOKING AND ECONOMICAL THEN A-STAR. I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAR TO OTHERS.

I test drived Astar 2day it was a crap & disgusting thing, style-bullshit,interiors-cramped ,boot-only enough to keep ur water bottels,hardly any space to sit,i wonder what the engeners & MD at MS were thinking while designing it.the car is really a loser IT is going to fade earlier than ESTILO
