I HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE VISITING THE MAHINDRA SHOWROOM. AFTER TRAVELLING 750 KMS FROM HOME TO CHENNAI, I PLANNED TO VISIT THE MAHINDRA SHOW ROOM TO TEST THE HYPED XUV. I DROPED IN TO THE mahindra SHOWROOM AT mount road AROUND 6.30 PM EVENING. AFTER EXAMINING THE XUV PARKED IN SIDE BY MYSELF, I FOUND THAT THERE WERE WAS ONLY ONE REPRESENTATIVE WHO WAS ATTENDING ANOTHER FAMILY. I WENT AROUND THE XUV, GOT IN FELT THE STEERING ETC. THOUGH THE FIRST IMPRESSION WAS GOOD THERE WAS A REAL LACK IN QUALITY. AFTER SPENDING ABOUT 45 MINUTES I REALISED THAT IT WAS GETTING LATE, I WAS STARTING TO FEEL RESTLESS. JUST THEN,ANOTHER REPRESENTATIVE WHO HAD TAKEN ANOTHER FAMILY FOR TEST DRIVE ARRIVED. I REQUESTED FOR A TEST DRIVE. HE ASKED FOR MY DRIVING LICENCE AND TO LD ME THAT IT IS MAHINDRAS POLICY TO PRODUCE A COPY OF DRIVING LICENCE BEFORE TEST DRIVING A VEHICLE. I WAS TURNED DOWN. I TOLD THAT I AM A DOCTOR AND I DRIVE 3 CARS AND SHOWED ME MY ID .THEY STILL INSISTED FOR A COPY OF MY DRIVING LICENCE. I GOT FED UP AND WALKED BACK WITH A RESOLUTION "NEVER VISIT A MAHINDRA SHOWROOM AGAIN".
I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST YOU GUYS TO THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU LEAP. "ALL THAT GLITTERES IS NOT GOLD". THERE IS NOTHING IN THE VEHICLE THAT IS WORTH FOR ITS PRICE. NEITHER THE TEST DRIVING EXPERIENCE, NOR THE QUALITY OF INTERIORS(I HEARD THE ENGINE IS ALSO NOT WELL REFINED). THE MAHINDRA AFTERSALES SERVICE IS ALSO POOR.
