      Pros: Very First line for this car A BEAST. Best engine I had even seen produced in India. 1.5L, 110 HP @ 4000 RPM, DOHC, VGT and torque of 236 nm @ just 1900~2750 RPM. Actually they are small bores and longer strokes as compare to any other car launched in India and this concept of small bores and longer strokes are used in the drag cars. along with the fact they have a compression ration of 17.8 which makes this car a rocket and how can we forget Awesome Gearbox used in it to make this car to touch 200 plus kmph mark. VGT makes your Verna a really thrust one at just 2k RPM. It will start like a normal car but as soon as you reach 2k RPM.

      Suddenly a thrust in the car and you will feel as if you are digging into the seat. This Turbo really really works at lower RPMs too and just 2k RPM. Talking of the torque of this Beast. 236 nm @ just 1900~2750 RPM. No matters if 5 people are sitting in the car with AC on. It will make all the 5 pessengers sitting the car as if they are really digging in the seats after 2k RPM and at high speeds. No Comments on this if 2k RPM can bring a thrust then what about Turbos working at higher speeds? A Rocket on a highway touching your needle from 100 kmph to 200 kmph.(Recommended only if one knows and having experience of handling cars at this speeds). It can again give you the same feeling if you are running it at 130 kmph and wanna boost it to 180 kmph.

      A short ans. Beast will dig you to it’s seat. Very good Space Utilization and Comfort like space utilization at dashboards, doors, sunglass holder and awesome feature of Drivers Arm rest(Very userful if you are stuck in a jam or driving on a highway for comfort). Climate control. Awesome Braking with disc brakes in a rear and front wheel along with ABS. I found people saying about its handling at high speeds. Dunno what they ment by that? I had driven this beast 202 kmph yesterday itself on Express Way and found no trouble making this car running at 175 kmph from left to right and right to left and zig zag cuts bet. the cars running on the roads. Very Very Effective AC. The Demo car was burning like a Cooker and started AC and within 2-3 min. of time the temperature was normal and after less than 10 min. time I guess I had a chilling effect of AC and that too when blower was at

      3. Security of rods in the doors and compilation is very good in Verna to absorb energy at the time of front impacts. Mileage of 17-18 kmpl in cities(only if a person knows how to get max. amount of mileage in the cities with normal driving) and saves a lot of money invested on the cars. Shear Raw Power with Great Mileage which gives you Fun and Saves a lot of money in your fuel investments as compare to petrol cars. Height adjustable seats and steering which will surely gives you a comfortable ride. Verna as a Hyundai don’t make hypes like Maruti Do like "M-series engines" "Dohc" "bla" "Bla bla" "Bow Bow".

      A simple slogan "Feel It" and you will really feel it. Good news Hyundai is working well for their after sales service like normal services and spare parts. Verna and Accent have the same price for the services and parts. My Accent’s Latest services costs me just approx 2500 Rs. Very good gear shifts and I can change gears with just one finger very easily. A Trip Computer installed with Gauge cluster which record distance travelled, average speed, average fuel consumption, and display real time fuel consumption information. 14" Alloys. Kenwood Music System. Electronic side mirror adjustment hydraulic power steering. International Standard gearbox.

      Very good protection. Many people felt reverse gear is an issue to pull the lever and then go for reverse gear, but it is a security measure. What if you car is running at 5th gear and one wants to go for 4th gear and by mistake any person who is not good in driving hits reverse gear by chance. a "CCCHHHHIIII" sound will come and if by chance reverse gear applied then a boom to the gearbox.

      Cons: Cheap plastic used and not to the expectation of the price(AC Flaps). Boost Space just 352L but one can compromise as the design is compact and it is designed for high speeds. Not a big issue. AirBags. Now in short. None of the car is perfect. So, I compromised plastics interiors and 352L boot space is good enough if you are going with the family and ofcourse design. If anything is left or if anything is wrong, everyone is most welcome to write his / her comments as pros or cons. All Critics and appriciation are also most welcome. Now comes the rating: As a Family Car: 3.5 out of 5. due to lack of space as compare to SX4 I had deducted 0.5 points. and 0.5 deducted for not providing airbags and 0.5 deducted for cheap plastics. Full points to Power and Shear Pleasure and other features. As a Speedy Freak: 4.5 out 5. 0.5 marks deducated for not providing airbags and cheap plastics. and most of all: 5 out of 5 for it’s engine performance

      It’s been one year since I bought my Verna trnsform VTVT, done 19000KM. This is my third car(Alto VX1.1, Swift VDi, Verna) bought on July, 2010. It is pleasure to drive this car, enough power, great looks, Good fuel efficiency, road grip, handling.

      Selecting car: There are many sedans available in the market now, I was looking for a car in 8-10 lakh price tag. selection is based on the budget, service and fuel efficiency. I had shortlisted 3 cars, City, Verna and SX4. Ford, Lenea were not in the list from begining though they are doing good in the car market. Test driving: There was no much diference I felt when I drove all 3, All three were the basic models. Why Verna VTVT: Cost( Ex showroom): Verna: 6.70 City: 8.40 SX4: 6.80 City looks more luxury, more refined costing~1.5L more than the Verna and fuel efficiency is not good as new city is now having VTech engine with more power, Earlier, City was having IDS engine which was giving~13KM/L in city. SX4 is more reliable, having good service network but I didn’t like the shape. Mileage is also not appreciable. Model: VTVT(without audio)Electrical ORVM adjust, Manual A/C, All power windows, Wooden finish. Buying: I booked the car @ Trident, Bangalore in May 2010, dealer promised that they will deliver the car in June 2nd week. I was just waiting for the car but they couldn’t deliver as they promised. One day sales executive called me and informed that huyndai is planning to launch new version of Verna(Transform). I was little happy but disapponted also. New model will be facelifted and could be little expensive. Sales execute didn’t have any details about the new model. I was eager to see the model and cost. I fixed my budget, if there is any variation, it would be difficult to arrange extra money. Afer a week, Trident recieved White Verna transform, There were no changes in the specification but only in terms of exterior and some interior changes.

      Driving experience: Cabin is quite, Seating position is very good, I never felt exausted even after driving for more than 600KM. It runs very smoothely. The pickup is good. There is no need to change the gears for overtaking other vehicles. There is no lagging when you switch on the A/C. Steering is smooth and very responsive. One important feature I liked in Verna is the brakes.

      Though mine is without ABS, I never felt it is requried. A/C is too good. Suspension is good with 3 people in rear seat. What I personally felt was the car drives smoothely when it is loaded with 2-3 pesron, when I am driving alone, It is not that comfortable when there is load. Fuel efficiency: I am getting 12KMPL and 17KMPL in City and Highway rRajeev_Vermactively with A/C on. Maintainance: 1st free service was on 1000KM. 2nd free service on 10000KM /6 Months. 3rd free service on 20000KM/1Year.

      I got my car(3rd) serviced @ 15000KM it was about to complete one year. Problems with the car: There was little body vibration @ 1500RPM when I push the accelerator in 3rd gear. It was recitified in the second service. There was issue with clutch, which was taken care in the 1st service. Accessories: 14’ Alloy wheels - Set of 5(23K) Seat covers: Elegant - Suede velvet fabric(4.5K) Music system: JVC AVX-836(26K) Speakers: I didn’t buy the speaker as car was fitted with Rear/Front speakers and tweeters in front door.

      Rear parking sensor: Huyndai brand with four sensor on rear bumper and display on RVM with audio.(Free with car) Rear camera: Connected to JVC Audio system(2K) Long drive: 1.Bangalore>Ooty>Coonoor>Coimbatore>Palani>Kodai> Kanyakumari>Madhurai>Salem>Bangalore.  Total  2023KM 2.Bangalore>Hubli>Pune>Ahmednagar>Shirdi>Nasik>Mumbai>Pune>Lonaval>Hubli>Bangalore. Total 2310KM.

Things which i liked the most other then looks 1) very good control on road 2) powerful stearing and braking system 3) great mileage 4) comfortable in long journey 5) very good servicing The only thing Verna cars needs to improve is leg room space in rear side

      The car was well designed keeping the future generation in mind we can give kudos to the Hyundai design team.. I have purchased the SX petrol variant white colour which looks classy if maintained well and the performance of the car is awesome in the segment i have run the car for 1600 kms and didn't notice any lag till now where my regular commute is within the city where I didn't notice any difficulty i used to move the vehicle from second gear without any hustle.... In highways the cruise control was a bless on it as you will feel more relaxed compared to CITY car and overall dynamics of the car is satisfactory I tested the speed and it took 6 seconds for me to reach 100 from 0..... I would recommend the car to fellow enthusiastics also the pricing scenario is well priced when compared to segment rivals.... Overall I can give 9/10 for the car from my end based on features and drivability.

      I purchased Hyundai Verna 1.6 SX(O) diesel on 25 June 2018.The car is just amazing.It just makes you to drive everyday. PROS: Mileage:12-13km/ltr in city 17-19.8km/ltr in highway.You need to shift the gears accordingly to get these results.Which means I have shifted gears at a right time without revving hard. Speed:I went upto 190km/hr.Which is just amazing.It has more pickup than a Skoda rapid,Honda City or a Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. Of course I have a Skoda rapid 1.6TDI.Which makes me feel as Verna has more performance than rapid. Luxury: Ventilated Seats,the best one in this segment and also a hard to find feature in any 15 lakh Rs car.You can find it only on cars such as BMW 5 series and above or a Volkswagen Tiguan.This feature makes you more comfortable on a sunny climate in South India.As it makes an ease to ride it even after a long journey of 700kms and above. Design:You would love to opt for a photoshoot with this car. Cons: Music system:It doesn't have a CD player support.The speakers are not much louder.if you want a better sound you need to opt for component,Woofer and an amplifier.otherwise everything is going fine. Headroom:It is little small when compared to rapid, city or a ciaz.if you are 5.5 above taller it's little difficult to sit in rear. Get yourself a SX(O) one this car is loaded with more features than any other cars in that price.I could really say that it is a handpicked one for those who overtake in highways. just go for this.

      I had purchased Verna 1.6 Ex diesel in 2014 and driven 50000 kms.I never felt lack of pick-up or smoothness while driving in highways or city. Just push down the accelerator pedal, car jumps like a rocket, particularly in 2nd & 3 rd gear. Till date I have not replaced any part other than engine oil & filters. Driving experience is good & I never felt tired during long drives. While driving in highways, once I tried to test my car speed, that was clocking at 150 km/ hour without any vibrations, I had not dared to go beyond it. many times, my friends use to ask me whether engine is diesel or petrol, i.e. no noise car. But one thing was noticed that, up to 100 km/ hr speed car use to deliver 20-21 km / lt, after that, mileage is dropping to 18-19 km / litre. major drawback for the car is ground clearance, if car occupied with 5 people , ground clearance will be further worse. another drawback is Clutch pedal has to be pressed up to floor, this long pressing causes some what discomfort in city traffic. But one thing I liked about the car is that, it is maintenance free and simply takes off like diesel rocket when situation demands like overtaking, Hill terrain steep uphill climbing etc. I use to take the car to service center only for engine oil change at 8000 km, though manual says 10K requirement. Till date I haven't changed brake shoes, may be most of the times I try to use engine braking rather than, burning the brake shoes. Overall, I am satisfied with my car. Recently I changed Battery & 2 nos. Tyres.
