Exterior There is no doubt this is a small car with luxary car features.
Engine Performance, fuel economy and Gearbox Fuel economy is very poor. I got the car on 15-04-2011 through M/s Rishabh Motors Private Limited, New Delhi, vide Invoice No. H201100020 dated 08-04-2011. I complained to their service station at the time first service about very high fuel consumption (at that time it appeared to be nearly 10km/ltr) and also that when car is parked during rained, water gets through and collects near the driver's foot space. While for the first complaint we wee tole that with running, the mileage will improve, nothing was said about the second complaint. One wonders whether it is bad piece and what Hyundai will do about it or it is a common feature with most of the i20s.
Ride Quality & Handling Good.
Final Words It is a small car with big car price tag.
Areas of improvement Fuel efficiency. The car must give around 15km/ltr in petrol version. One wonders how my second obsevation of water getting collected in the driver's seat foot space when car is parked in the open for a few hours of rain, can be corrected. During rainy seasons the service station ignored this; next rainy season will be in December/January and if that is also ignored, the warrantee period would be over. Indian manufacturers must deliver what they claim in sales talk or literature like the Europeans or Americans. I have wonderful expereince of Daimler Benz.
Spacious, safety, featuresIt is a gas guzzler. In 40 litres petrol it gives just 340 km giving an average of 8.5 km/ltr.
