Huyndai i20 Sportz and Volkswagen Polo trendline comparision

 

Exterior i20 sportz & Polo trensline  - Both cars has good extirior looks , both are large in size and if you r small car driver like santro , alto , then u need to take care of width while driving. Polo exteriors are smoth but doesnt seems to be robust one ( as while washing car , the number plate light came out of its jack.).

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Both car has good interiors as compared to any maruti car anytime , Polo trendline doesnt comes with integrated music system , remote lock etc , where as i20 sportz has features like , remote key entry , integrated music system , electronic rear view mirror(OVRM) etc . Interior space wise , and seat size wise , definetly i20 is bigger and spacious . Even front/driver and rear leg space wise i20 is way ahead to Polo.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I went to Pune - Mahablaeshwar , driving both the cars( i20 sportz , Polo trendline) on two different dates. Earlier I had Santro for more than 2-3 years and also has a Alto in hometown.

 

Engine wise i20-sportz Smoth drive , but again low in accelaration/pick up  , if u r running on 3rd gear , suddenly press the brake , and within a sec again if you press the accelarator , it wont pick up qucikly ... most of the time you need to change the gear. Even if you dont change the gear , it takes big enuff time to reach back to the same speed. I was able to climb mahabaleshwar peak , mostly on 3rd gear with AC on , some times with 2nd gear.

 

Volkswagen Polo Smooth drive , good in accelration , picks up quickly < But I perosnally didnt found breaks as per the accelaration > . Engine - low in power , was struglling to climb mountain even on 2nd gear with AC on.

 

Fuel economy i20 - 12-14 Highway , 11-13 city, Polo - 14-16 Highway , 12-14 city

 

Ride Quality & Handling i20- better rode quality and handling than Polo

 

Final Words If you r man who want good accelration go fo polo , but for over all feel go for i20. cons - i20 comes with a higher price.

 

Areas of improvement i20 - pick up and acceleration, mileage, price, Polo - brakes , engine power.

 

i20 and polo - Looks(interior , exterior) , space , overall feel good factori20 - low accelration and high in price, polo - low in power , not good enough brakes
