Elantra - the dream car turned real

Buying: I have been kind of following this car for more than 5 years now (call it stalking, if you want!). This is one car that has been my dream for years. I bought it from Sanghi Hyundai, Indore on 28 October 2018 after having visited another dealership in the town (who seemed not much interested in following it up with me). The sales Advisor Mr. Haji at Sanghi was constantly in touch with me providing all the minute details. All in all, buying has been superb (what else does one expect in this segment?) I must speak positively for Hyundai for this experience along with the local dealer. Riding: although I haven't driven this car beyond few kilometers, it has been a sheer joy for the whole family. Ample space, feature rich, super comfortable, easy to handle. Looks: a subjective matter. Although I liked Altis more than Elantra on looks parameter, the dealership there ensured that I don't go to them again. They were simply not interested in offering me a test drive. Servicing / maintenance: not yet. Pros: Looks: a definite head turner Handling: like butter Feature: best in the class; too good AC: very fast cooling Power: what can be done for other cars in 2nd gear, this car can achieve the same in 4th gear (my car driving experience goes beyond 20 years having owned and driven 12 cars in the past - Maruti, Honda and Hyundai). Cons: Looks - yes, you heard it right. It looks too similar to Verna. Kitna deti hai (mileage): I never allowed my driving pleasure affected by this factor; honestly, never bothered / enquired. Disclaimer: I am NOT a rich person who is not bothered about spending money. Overall: a winner in my perception in this segment. Strongly recommend for overall pleasure - reasonable price, set of features, buying experience, ease of driving and handling, expected low maintenance cost and definitely a prestigious car.
