Honda Elevate Mileage

Very low mileage, poor customer support after sales, recently I have purchased Honda elevate I got only less than 8.5 kilometers mileage per liter overall , I have expected overall at least 12 kilometer per litre.

I bought a Honda Elevate in Oct 2023 and have driven this around 21K in the last 15 months. Moving from the VW Vento 1.6 TDi was not easy but quite happy either my overall experience with this car. No Complaints so far. Pros: 1. Engine: No Nonsense 1.5 L IVTEC Engine, sufficient for highways and city, drove in Hills as well with 4 people, hassle-free driving every time. 2. Safety: It comes with 6 Airbags as standard, also I got ADAS2 with my ZX CVT variant, and the ADAS2 cruise, Collision Mitigation Braking System also has been helpful in several instances and lane assist is very helpful, just in case your attention is diverted and you have curved road coming ahead, moves the steering as needed. 3. Storage: best-in-class storage so far. 4. Mileage: Honda claims 16.92 kmpl for CVT but I have got 23 km/l as well with light foot driving and cruising around 90 km/h. You need to learn how the CVT gearbox behaves and revise accordingly. 5. Ground clearance: Class-leading 220 mm ground clearance, gives you confidence to cross the big speed beakers even with 4 people inside the car with luggage. 6. Warranty: Unlimited kms warranty for up to 10 years, this is the level of confidence Honda gives to its buyers because they know that their product is reliable and can last long, which Indian consumers expect. 7. Comfort: Drove around 1600 KMs on a stretch of 3 days with 600 Kms in a day as well, very comfortable ride, no tiring at all. 8. Music: I heard negative things about Honda's music system in the past but I think now Honda is providing an improved music system unit and the quality of sound is very good, might not be excellent but what the majority of users need, should be good enough. Music lovers Can also upgrade the components with high-quality components and can also add an under-seat subwoofer for enhanced music quality. Service: I got 3 initial services done already and the experience has been good so far. Cons: Visibility with High Lifted Bonnet: Although the high bonnet on the front gives a very good feeling of driving a big-size car if you are moving from a sedan or hatchback, you will need to keep a safe distance from the vehicles in bumper-to-bumper traffic and narrow streets of the city. Providing a 360-degree camera or at least front bumper sensors would have been a very good decision, as it helps you park the car in tight conditions with ease. NVH: Although from inside the car remains silent with RPM around 2000-2500 the road and tire sound can filter inside the cabin, so you can go for damping the doors, trunk, and maybe floor, to help reduce road noise and enhance music quality.

BEWARE ! The CVT model has asamble fuel mileage(with a 100 % driving score as per their app) in the city it returns 5.75 to 6 when you drive easily and when you floor it below 5. Rest is great.

Have purchased Elevate in September 2024. I am getting between 7-9 Km/l in Bangalore city traffic under normal driving conditions (no rapid revs etc.) which is pretty little considering the power and weight of the car. Highway mileage is good around 15-16 km/l. Noise levels are pretty bad considering you can hear a phone conversation next to your car in normal traffic. Driving dynamics and comfort are very good. Features are sufficient for driving a car. Road clearance is great. Writing this review after driving around 1000kms due first service. Need to see if the mileage changes after 1 service.
