I booked Honda Brio (E), from Solitaire Honda Borivali(E) in the month of November 2011. The waiting time given was few days more than 3 months. However I have been waiting for close to 5 months and the car did not arrive.

Meanwhile the sales people are promising all other colors like Black, White etc. If Honda Brio is not available in all colors given by the company why are they promising customers at the time of booking. The website of honda says Brio (E) is available in Red, Urban Titanium, Silver etc, but while booking they reject Red color, secondly after 5 month waiting they refuse Urban Titanium color. I don't understand why is there a double talk?

Since I was promised for completed refund of booking amount (Rs 21,000), having run out of patience waiting for so long, I decided to cancel my booking. 

To my surprise, there is unnecessary procrastination in issuing cheque, its been more than 7 days since I cancelled booking, I still haven’t got my refund.

My advice to all consumers looking to book Honda Brio, check with various dealers on waiting period and choose the least waiting option. Don't book from Krish Cars Pvt Ltd, Solitaire Honda Borivali East.

It’s a test of my patience, 5 months waiting for car, never got it, 1 week after cancelling, never got the cheque... What kind of service is Solitaire Honda or Krish Cars Pvt Ltd, offering to customers. 

IS THIS A SCAM TO GET PEOPLE TO BOOK CARS AND NEITHER DELIVER THE CAR NOR BOOKING AMOUNT.

Please share your thoughts on what course of action should I take?

Everything about car is good.Dealers misleading with color, delivery

Extremely good design, compact looks but spacious like any mid class sedan, true to its word - man maximum, machine minimum. Very aerodynamic style, glides through with ease, offers least resistance, I bought the V variant in Black colour and it just looks superb, quality of paint is great.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Intelligent interiors, I love the spartan style, quality of plastic used is ages ahead of the so called swifts and i20's and livas. Extremely spacious and comfortable sitting for its compact size, beats a few mid size sedans in comaprison to internal space. Very comfortable seats, excellent and responsive steering wheel, nice sporty music player, clever spaces to tuck in stuff, roomy and joyous feeling when you sit inside the car, puts a smile on your face. Oh and I love the ECO blob that comes to life when you are driving economically.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent free revving motor, very responsive at mid range rpm, easily cruuises above 100 KMPH without slightest feel and very stable. Did 120 KMPH on NH24, could manage a mileage of around 13 KMPL with AC on in Delhi traffic and 17 KMPL with AC on and 4 adults on a highway. Thats pretty cool, Gearbos is a bit stiff initially but eases out as the KM's progress, races past most of the hatchbacks on highway without any problems or rather with ease and awe! the car really loves you back.

Ride Quality & Handling Honda could have improved the suspension, its not as comfortable as the other top quality cars in the range. However for front passenger and driver, it hardly makes a difference but a bit harsh on the rear passengers. Handling is superb and very stable.

Final Words Overall its a best buy, I have personally tested each hatch in the premium segment and can safely say that this is one of the best hatches around. My small family doesnt require a big boot and we never wanted to buy a car for its 'BOOT' - the BOOT offered by BRIO is enough for us. go for it if you have or want some thrill in life, the car is fun to drive in city as well as highways.

Areas of improvement Suspension and a rear defogger is essential, HONDA must work on this, but please dont tweak the design, it is so far the best and most aerodynamic.

My Test drive Experience

Exterior Looks great and for me its a love at first sight.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Quality of plastics used is great, space unbelievable, back suspension is poor and thigh support lacks, AC is good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good from 1st to 5th gear in terms of pickup, unsure about the fuel economy, smooth gearshifts.

Ride Quality & Handling Front suspension is nice but for the people at rear its going to be a pain in (you know where ;) ), rear suspension is to be smoothend.

Final Words I wanted to buy a new car exchaning my 1999 Diesel AC Fiat UNO and after a couple of months of research I finally narrowed my selections to Ritz or Brio Petrol varients as my budget is only 5L.

So wanted to testdrive both the vehicles and when called Maruti they were amazing people who came to my home pick me up in a car to therir showroom and showcased different varients and wanted a sale but I was more interested towards Brio and I know for a matter of fact most car dealers will showcase poor After Sale Service and amazingly Capital HONDA Trichy rep was pathetic in Pre sales!!!

Believe it or not when I enquired if they have any exchange offers the guy cooly replied "sorry sir Maruti offers exchange bonus upto 25000 for ritz but we don't!!!!"

So far I've called him 15 Times to schedule Test Drive, enquire or compare about varients, loan and every time I get a reply as I will check and call you, 2 days from there I would have to call back to find the status????!!!! the guy had called me only once and that too to know the way to my home for test drive! and then after it was me calling him again and again,

eg: he had promised a call back from the back rep for loan when I called and enquired and 2 days no reply so called him to followup and he promised for a call back from the bank rep 1 day no reply I called up.

Another eg: called to find out the difference between varients E and S and he promised to call back a little later as he was driving and the entire day NO SHOW so I called him.

Today (friday Sep 14) called and enquired about the HONDA offer text that I received claiming to start from Sep 14 - Sep 16 (friday thru sunday) and the guy cooly replied, "I will check and will get back to you on Monday (sep 17) WHAT A SALES REP he is?????~!!!!!

I still love the brand and the car itself, wanted to buy one however I'm a bit worried comparing the pre sales, I just couldnt imagine After sales service???

Can some one from Trichy, please share your experience Presales and Post sales service of capital honda cars trichy tamilnadu.

Areas of improvement Assign good delearship and better sales rep as they are the face of the company as far as the car is concerend rear suspension should be fine tuned and better thigh support is required for rear seat passengers, but if you are going to drive alone or for 2 this is a great car with poor service.

Exterior The front of my black Brio looks manly. Its not a cute car. Its was made 4 gentlemen. Feels like its a luxury car, A head turner for sure, keeps you out of crowd.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Seriously telling that Brio's suspension set-up is far better than the City. Its more comfortable on patchy, bumpy surfaces plus the body roll is very less at speeds above 160 KMPH, while turning on expressways at high speeds.Its really spacious at front. In rear also its spacious for ladies and short people, as I found the headroom very less at the back. The seats the very soft and comfy and the fabric fantastic. The dashboard is very wide and solid, and it gives us a sense of space and solidity. The doors are solid and The rear door is very special as its completely made up of toughned glass. The rear of Brio is outstanding and makes it look futuristic and it looks really special but i cn say Back seaters space s very less. I had experienced in my car with my friends (the whole weight will be more than half a ton) back seaters troubled a lot. bootspace s k not far better.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performance s awesome  the engine loves to be revved, there's no engine noise at idle. The throttle voice sounds sporty when revved hard, very smooth engine, slick gear box like knife in butter, fuel economy poor not expected and gear box very smooth we can shift the gear (rough handling) ie with the finger.

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent.

Final Words Worth for money.

Areas of improvement Automatic climate control system. Mileage to be improved, Rear seat space to be noticed.

Performance, look, comfortSpace & fuel economy

Exterior Loved the exteriors and was one of the main reason for purchasing the vehicle and still love to see come over and ask about the car. A real head turner. 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Bad dashboard palstic in dark brown does not give a look that you have got something special. Kind of very dull, makes it look sad .Space and comfort in front seats is fine but for taller guys in back it is not good as you have to adjust your back to get accomodated (pain starts for people of 5' 11'' and above )

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Has given me an mileage of 12.5 Km in city with AC and more than 16.5 km on highway( Matched the expectations of a Honda car).

Ride Quality & Handling Real good handling and ride quality. Did not feel exhausted  after driving for 4 hrs(With breaks). Bad gear shift (Can be my specific vehicle ) but it makes a sound on changing gear like and SRT bus , Did tell the dealer on first service , he did some clutch adjustment but still no use. will take up the matter in the next service.

Final Words Go for it if you are a small family and do not like to tarvel heavy.

Leg space in rear, Driving space, MileageGear shift gives sound esp for reverse, Rear seating height, Dashboard not upto standard

Exterior Very good looking..Though i have always felt that Black color suits more on bigger cars, i got really addicted to the black color Brio..Silver also looks fantastic.. Red and Blue colors look bright.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Pretty Spacious interiors...Leg room comfortable for the rear passenger. Can comfortably seat 2 in the rear and the 3rd should be a lean person to sit comfortable

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Really loves the noiseless engine. Fuel economy was said to be close to 18kmpl and users are consistently getting 15kmpl is what I was told by the sales guy. I was also told that the typical service cost would be ~3k after the free service.. Gearbox was pretty smooth and good to handle..The gear knowb could have been little more bigger to give it a softer feeling.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality is excellent and car can be handled well.

Final Words A definitely good car to Own and one of the best petrol car in the segment

Areas of improvement Could improve the Boot space through shaping the back.

Final Words I did not know driving before purchase of this car . I appered for four driving classes but discontinued . You belive or not rest of my driving I learnt on Brio . Recently I tried to drive Wagnor but I can feel the difference . Honda comfort is excellent. So for I have driven for about 300 KM and most of the time I was in 1st or second gears. My milage shows around 12,5 Km in city May be after some time I can improve further with my ride quality improvrmrnt. From past one year I surveyed almost all the brands Maruthi, Hundai , Ford , polo, Toyota etc. But I found BRIO is worth for the money we pay. 

Areas of improvement Adjustable seat Height  is advantage to short people like me . Provide seat hight adjuster.

I purchased my Brio in Aug 2012 from the sub dealer in Dimapur.

Within two weeks of owning the vehicle I lodged my first complain about massive under body sound from the rear. Of the vehicle while driving on not so good roads. Repeated visits to the sub dealer did not help as surprisingly the service team couldn't even detect the problem. Shock absorbers were changed which didn't help either. All along guess work continued from the service team and agony of owning a Honda Brio continued in my life.

Then I decided to take my vehicle to the Guwahati dealer ( Spectrum Honda). I visited the dealer on 5th of April 2013. An entire day of brainstorming by the service team and guess work continued here too. Had to leave the dealer at EOD without any resolution. But here I would like to mention about Ms. Mousumi ( Customer Relations Manager) and Mr Sinha ( Service Manager) who were extremely cordial and very passionate about resolving the problem. They requested me to bring the vehicle again so that they can thoroughly check the vehicle, compare with other Brios and try to resolve the issue.

Accordingly I came all the way from Dimapur (350 kms from Ghy) and visited the dealer again on 19th of April 2013. The entire day the service team it seems tried and tested different combinations and without any doubt sincerely tried resolving the problem. 

But the rear under body sound still persists when driven on bumpy roads and we have all come to a conclusion that probably its a manufacturing defect with the vehicle and the vehicle is not at all suitable from Indian roads and hence requires the Company's attention.

I am definitely unhappy with the product and seriously considering disposing off the vehicle.

The vehicle has another problem of having a very notchy and hard gear transmission system which requires attention too.

The otherwise lovely looking Brio with excellent interiors is a good vehicle to drive in city conditions on only and only good roads.

So did Honda had in mind the road conditions in India while designing the Brio?  And I am certainly concerned about the Amaze if its on the same platform as the Brio with similar suspension.

Exterior Brio is really amazing with its sporty headlamps and a stylish streamlined front. It is far ahead of every other car of the segment when it comes to looks. 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Although it looks compact from outside but you will be amazed to see the space and comfort inside the car.As the company says it is really a testimony to Honda's principle of making cars spacious by minimizing the machine space rather than compromising on comfort level.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The Gearbox is smooth in operation and it gives easy shifting of gears. It is so well mounted that you dont even have to make efforts to get you hands there.The engine performance is as creamy as we expect from Honda cars. As far as pickup and torque factors are concerned, it touches maximum that can be produced from 1200 cc without compromising on the quietness of engine.

Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is good and handling is just awesome even while making narrow sharp turns.

Final Words Honda Brio is a perfect and rare combination of style and performace.If you are looking to buy a petrol car in the range of 5-6  lacs, this is one of the best option available. It is one of the cars which inspires envy when it hit the roads.
