      Exterior From the front looks robust. Rear looks like an SUV, (try looking at the car on your rear view mirror). The shape of bonnet is very neat and looks sturdy.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) All features are good and plastic quality is as good. Space is adequate for the class of the car and it has very comfort ride positions. Kids really enjoy the sitting at the rear and to be frank you don't miss power windows at the rear (we never roll down window in urban lifestyle).

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel economy is very good, in run in period i traveled from Delhi to Chandigarh, maintaining RPM “between” 1500 to 2000 and got a mileage of 19.6 KMPH. Now after 3500 kms my mileage has improved to 21.3 on highway and 17 KMPH in the maddening traffic of Delhi.

      I have an esteem also, truly speaking we cannot compare petrol and Diesel vehicles, so gear changing and noise is slightly more .but i find that as a beauty in this car. you can feel the power in your hands. 

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good and the ground clearance is not an issue at all (as mentioned in few reviews) Maximum in worst of the roads only the mud flaps will touch the ground. Brakes are superb and ABS works like crazy, better then my sedan.

      Final Words I did study lots of car before i finally went for this and I am very happy .its like Fill it. shut it AND FORGET IT.  My fuel bill has certainly gone down. Kids enjoy ride in the boot space (one of the best in class). Space given for bottles is very useful. Enough space is given for Mobile and other gadgets.

      Areas of improvement At this price, I don't think any thing more is required. It takes care of all of our urban needs.

      Exterior As good as ever. Few scratches here and there. But all is taken care off. No problems.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very comfortable.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox No problems at all. I have heard people complaining of reverse gear..the manual says 'wait for three second before engaging reverse gear'. Its smooth.

      Ride Quality & Handling Good grip and beautiful and effective braking. it is a brute machine. Started using lane change indicator and it is of immense help.

      Final Words My car is through second servicing and its doing well. Total expenditure was 1900. It is advised that wheel balancing and alignment may be done from outside. Showroom charges 1250 for the same(mine was without WB/WA). Next servicing is due after another 10000 Kms , so its light on pocket too. quality music and blue tooth adds on to a big advantage. I am getting  19 KMPL avg with AC on in Delhi traffic. I like this car since I graduated from petrol to Diesel. too easy on pocket.

      Areas of improvement Nothing specific.

      Exterior A good looking rock steady body with excellent road grip with wider tyres, especially tail lamps are rightly placed which adds a unique look for FIGO.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious, infact it just look like a sedan inside. Itz having everything a common hatchback should have.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Being a customer of figo with 1yr of driving experience will share you the facts of it honestly. Sounds a bit while starting and at lower RPM, but when you drive for few minutes engine rev gets smoother and no noise comes into cabin. But it is having a very good engine(TDCI) which will never disappoints you in both city n highway conditions, especially highway drive with figo is awesome!!!. You can happily go in 2nd gear in cith bumper traffic, unless stopped completely you will never need to go to 1st gear, it has the good support at low rpms.

      FE: Iam getting overall 18-19 kmpl approx(16 city, 22 highway) which is a very good when compared to petrol cars and its competitors.

      Gear shift is smoother, but it depends on how you operate it. Because slotting the car in low gears when engine rev is more, heigher gears in lower rpm  will give you Jerks, so it is better to shift gears in right speeds as per the manual.  

      Ride Quality & Handling Due to its excellent dynamics it has the ability to handle higher speeds @120+, the hydraulic power assisted steering (which is some what heavy) gives you feel that even @highspeeds the car is totally under ur control. dont compare figo steering with I20 or other hyundai sedans as they are ultra lighter and needs much more attension while going on highways, but Figo does very well for me in both cith and highways.

      So far my car clocked 12000 kms in that approxmately 6k in highway. My experience in highway was really awesome, rock steady body with great dynamics, hydralic steering wud never disappoint you in higher speeds, i went till 140 i never feel shaking or jerking it was so solid and steady at that speed.

      Final Words What a common man wants from a hatchback is a car which should contain these qualities.

      1) Better mileage 2) better handling 3) Good performace 4) Good space 5) Value for money

      Figo EXI comes around 6.3 on road while Swift VDI takes you to 7.3 which is nearly 1lakh extra due to this reason only Figo is called a Value For Money(VFM) car. Figo fulfills each and everything above mentioned thus making the customers happy... :)

      Areas of improvement Though not a major ones but if they come up with a solution wud be great job done for customers, 1) Ground clearance is a bit problem with figo in odd roads,

      2) Rear power windows wud be an added advantage,

      3) The head lamps are weaker comapred to others, it should be improved.

      let me add this point as well.

      After Sales and Service So far my car went down for 2 services, which at intervels of 2500km and 10000km, in that 1st one is free 2nd one costs me 2200 along with wheel balancing(600 rs). Lot of roumours in the market is like Ford's After Sales and Service is bad and maintenance is high, but for me i never faced a problem with service center guys, the car was picked at my home and dropped on the same day with out any issues like fuel missing or ...etc. in few places it might be like that but that can be sorted out. Also Figo maintenance is same as swift n ritz, its parts might me costlier than maruthi ofcourse but notice here that at what intervels the car requires the spares compare that with other manufacturers and its cost.

      Exterior ARE GOOD AND APPEAR MUSCULAR DUE TO THE WHEEL ARCHS, ALLOY WHEELS ADD TO THE LOOKS. REAR LOOKS ARE COMPARITIVLY OK BUT COULD BE IMPROVED. FRONT LOOKS FABULOUS.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) QUALITY OF PLASTICS IS OK BUT COULD BE BETTER, THE SPACE ON OFFER IS AMAZING WITH GOOD LEG ROOM FOR BOTH FRONT AND REAR SEATS. BUT SPACE BECOMES A BIT OF CONCERN WHEN 3 ADULTS OCCUPY THE REAR SEAT. BOOT SPACE IS AMAZING WHICH WAS ONE OF A MAJOR FACTOR FOR ME TO BUY THIS CAR. SEATS ARE COMFORTABLE AND BODY ROLL IS VERY MINIMUM AT CORNERS. FEATURES OFFERED ARE EXCELLENT AT THE PRICE OFFERED. ONLY DRAW BACK IS NO POWER WINDOWS AT THE REAR EVEN IN TITANIUM. GOOD LUMBAR SUPPORT FOR THE DRIVER SEAT (SINCE I DRIVE ALWAYS) DONT KNOW ABOUT OTHER.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox PERFORMANCE AS FAR AS PICKUP IS CONCERNED IS ON THE LOWER SIDE (COMPARING TO TATA VISTA, MANZA WHICH I OWN ) MIGHT BE BECAUSE OF SOHC ENGINE WHEREAS THE OTHER IS DOHC ENGINE. CITY DRIVING DOES NOT SHOW THE DIFFERENCE BUT ON HIGHWAYS YOU FEEL THE LACK OF POWER WHEN YOU TRY TO OVERTAKE. FULE ECONOMY I AM GETTING OF 15KMPL AVG WITH AC ALL THE TIME WHEREAS MY DRIVING IS 50% CITY AND 50% HIGHWAY IN MANGALORE. DEALER SAYS THAT AFTER FIRST SERVICE ECO IS GOING TO IMPROVE. BUT I DONT WANT TO COMPROMISE ON THE PICKUP. MY VISTA IS GIVING ME 18 KMPL(50K+ KMS RUN) WHEREAS MY MANZA IS GIVING ME 17 KMPL(45K KMS RUN BUT WITH A LOT OF TURBO LAG). IN FIGO THE TURBO LAG IS BARE MINIMUM. GEARBOX I FEEL IS OK. NO PROBLEM IN GEAR SHIFTS AND GEAR RATIO IS PRETTY GOOD WHICH MUST BE COMPENSATING TURBO LAG IF ANY.

      Ride Quality & Handling EXCELLENT RIDE QUALITY AND HANDLING BETTER THAN BOTH MY OTHER CARS. SUSPENSION SEEMS TO BE A BIT HARD BUT IS BEST TO ME AS I ALWAYS HAVE SOME OR THE OTHER LUGGAGE IN MY BOOT. BODY ROLL IS NEGLIGIBLE. ABS DOES ITS WORK FINE.

      Final Words AS FAR AS MY PURCHASE GOES I HAD WALKED OUT TO A MARUTHI SHOWROOM TO PURCHASE SWIFT DZIRE BUT DUE TO THE DONT CARE ATTITUDE OF PEOPLE AT THE SHOWROOM I WALKED INTO FORD THE NEXT SHOWROOM INLINE AND WAS SURPRISED AT THE WAY THE VEHICLE WAS PRESENTED AND BOOKED THE VEHICLE THEN AND THERE AFTER GOING FOR A TEST DRIVE.

      Areas of improvement HEADLIGHTS NEED TO BE IMPROVED AS NIGHT DRIVING BECOMES A BIT HAZARDOUS IN UNKNOWN ROADS. REAR POWER WINDOWS NEED TO BE ADDED (MADE MY DECISSION ON PURCHASE A BIT DIFFICULT WITHOUT P/W AT REAR).

      GOOD SPACE, GOOD FUEL ECONOMY, BOOT, FEATURES OFFERED AT THIS PRICE, GOOD INTERIORSNO POWER WINDOWS AT REAR EVEN IN THE HIGH END, HEADLIGHTS NOT UP TO THE MARK, GROUND CLEARENCE

      Ford Ikon was my first car. It was good enough, but I had to change due to lenthy car in city driving and the ford stopped it's  production. I was researching since one month.  n test driven all hatch backs.Although I prefer DOHC diesel engines But rejected the polo,Ritz swift, punto, Vista quadrajet, sail yuva, n i20 due to various reasons. i20 good but cost n lenth. Vista is really a value for money but the taxy brand n tata's quality???  Polo is good but rear leg room n rear passanger seat's thigh support? oh my God the VW is ignoring that? and Its lenth is more than figo, but cabin n boot r smaller; besides these crossing the budget. Beat is very compact in space n poor engine. Liva having only bottle holders, worst interior, noisy cabin; besides these looks is good only in it's tv add. Micra n pulse has less space but more cost.  Swift?????? cost difference is one lakh becose it's most selling car, n you have to wait. Besides these again like polo It's length n width is more but boot only 202 lit. in comp of figo's 284 lit. punto is risky until fiat serves it's seperate  dealership. Sail Yuva was good but it was new launch n again lenth fector??? city driving of swift is tough you just can't see the corners. Ritz is only the tall boy car, so for ladies in family it's not good car.

      So After long research, I stopped on figo, n ultimately bought it on 12/12/12 at 12.12pm. The true value for money car, which serves you everything you need. I prefer safty n convenience so I bought New titanium. Althogh we use car only for maximum 12000 km in year, but I love diesel's torque. So went for 1.4 tdci. Exterior is good. It's look is neither executive like polo, nor sporty like swift. But it looks attractive, and I think It's look is for all. One can easily fell in love after looking it. The new front grill making it more aggressive. New headlamps n talelamps r also making it modern. The new alloys awesome. Interior new blue mind blowing. It's new driver seat height adjust and steering mount music control r the features which was really needed. I increased it's ground clearence 5 mm, by changing it's 175/65/14 tyres to  175/70/14. As it was predecided by me after few figo custmers advises. And I did so, coz they were happy by there decison. (now figo never touches the brakers).

       It's new engine mobilization making it more powerfull in 2nd gear also. Gear shifting is not best but it's good. Clutch is very smooth. Steering is ok but it is good for stability in speed. Braking is also good may be due to ABS with EBD, but good.  I have driven 1500 kms. Maximum at 160 km/hr. Great control n stability on high speed. If you drive at 1500 to 1800 rpm you can get upto 22km/lit. I drive fast n 25% driving is in city, so getting 17.4 km/lit. I think it is good.

      Space? One day the guest arrived n we decide to go together in figo. we were 5 adults and 2children of 4 n 6 yrs in cabin plus two 11 n 13 yrs children in boot space with shutting the boot door. they both were near about 5 feet n was sitting on bags. we enjoyed figo lot. Music system with bluetooth conectivity is good.

      As far as maintenance is concern it's cost is not more then maruti and hyundai; as i maintained icon. And ford is now growing fast these days so ass is not a issue. four yrs/one lakh km warranty serves you great peace of mind.

      If you r in search of value for money car with having everything then go for figo.

      Comfort,cabin n boot space,silent cabin, looks, stability, AC, Interior,No Rear power windows, Climate control AC and electrical foldable ORVMs

      Hi friends, before buying figo please read my review, bought figo diesel in march 2012, I have driven the car more than a year and completed 21000 kms and following is what I feel.

      Bad first,

      Engine noise - -engine noise is irritating to our ears, some kind of whoom noise. I had JBL standard speakers 2+2 with good bass effect. if we play the music when engine off, we can hear the full effect of the speaker but if we hear music when the vehicle in running, 60% of the effect of speaker mixed with engine noise, that is whoom noise and taste of enjoying music should be gone completely. Within 10 minutes we will stop the music as the mixture will create headache and pain to ears mainly on front seats. So I am enjoying my music system only when the engine is off.

      Stearing is very heavy sometimes. we feel lack of power on engine sometimes because when pressing the accelerator feels that we are driving a heavy vehicle. other days it run like other competitors.  on rough roads tyre sound is audible into the closed cabin.

      Getting a jerk while starting and stopping the engine and with ac on when not in running. I had driven punto and polo of my friends nothing feel like jerking while starting and stopping the engine. Getting in and out is difficult.

      Brake: brakes are the worst in figo, thinks that the brake shoes are small which is not good to stop the cars. If we are driving the vehicle above 80 to 100, WITH 4 OR 5 persons loaded, if any situation we apply sudden brakes the car will not stop, by applying full brake car reduces it whole speed but moves closer to the front object. So if fully loaded please maintain a big gap between any moving objects. Polo disc works like a ABS, not sure on other cars.

      Suspension: soft suspension is fine for 2 to 3 members, if with 5 members, the suspension presses its maximum and as the result total car pressed down and on bad roads everything will hit into our body. My family sitting at back complained and asked me to go very slow to avoid the hit. Punto suspension is hard so it will jumbs on bumbers but on bad roads nothing will feel inside. Polo very nice suspension feeling that we are in Volvo bus.

      Good things.

      Good space matching with liva, i20, vista.

      Good ac,

      Front visibility is nice,

      Good Boot space,

      Nice gear shifting.

      Dash board usage. We can keep some items on the dash, it will not fall.

      Back side passengers seating comfort.

      Fuel economy on highways: got 28kmpl while driving at 60 to 70 in single person. City mileage will varies according to driving style.

      Low on price

      This is my first car and fun to drive machine, not bored for long drives so I loved my car very much neglecting all the bad things.

      Very balanced car and very safe full body made by iron and service cost also very small. Safety is much prior so this car is safe for family, it's engine performance is same with AC and without AC, this car having high torque, and balancing during the breaking is excellent. It's music stero speakers are best quality I have not found this quality in other make cars

      Exterior

      Very good and stylish exterior. But lesh stylish than Chevrolet Beat.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

      Big and comfortable interior space and big boot space. Reat seat is folding for no split as in other competitors. Interior design and style is very good. But plastic quality seems not very good. The design is very spacious. Everyone may like it. 

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       Very early to say anithing. Coming time will prove. Gearbox is smooth. Engine do not appear much durable.

      Ride Quality & Handling

       Excellent.Very easy to handle and drive. One may fell in love with this car.

      Final Words

       Very good city as well as long drive comfortable car. Everyone may like its design and style. But, exterior is less stylish than Chevrolet Beat, but certainly more stylish than Maruti Suzuki's Ritz. Interior is less impressive than Maruti's Ritz. Overall a very good car.

      Areas of improvement  

       Plastic quality, Body strength, Steering Adjustment (must), Folding & Split Reat Seat (must). The Quality of plastic seems cheap. Quality of interior fittings must be improved.

       Interiors are pretty good, seats are comfortable, driving position is also very good and has enough space for 5 people.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       Performance is just SUPERB........... Power delivery is spot on....... just a hint at the throttle and the car ZOOMS off...... Gr8 !!!!!!

       ride is comfortable, handling is awesome no matter what speed are you on.

      Final Words

       overall the car is amazing, except for the average. I was considering chevy Beat as it has a very good mileage but opted for Figo as it had better space and comfort and the performance was also very good, but with the prices of diesel likely to go up in the coming months, my fuel bills will surely burn a hole in my pocket..... 

      Areas of improvement  

       fuel consumption needs to be improved. its very low as compared with other modern diesels such as Swift, Chevy Beat, etc

      Exterior Best hatchback at affordable price, should not expect more, cool look, like the rare lights, excellent driver visibility. C red or green are the best to choose rather i have c red one. For older can think of Diamond white, better not to think about other colours. Black one never buy.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Best of its class, very spacious, attractive interior. i like the music system most, verygood sound, better then SX4, dont require pen drive, can play music from mobile via blue tooth. you can talk and call througt the music system very clearely, its very useful in the busy city. Plastic quality is very superior. steering grip is good. power windows work smoothly.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is almost sound less. Only sound during initial start in the morning. power is excellent. good fuel economy, Gear box is smooth, hardly any problem to change the gear.

      Ride Quality & Handling Easy to handle, front as well as back visibility is good.night driving is too good,

      Final Words Dont think for i10 or i20, can go for it with our dought. best handling experience, best music system to enjoy.

      Areas of improvement I could not find out where company compromise to give such a good car at so cheap price, may be paint quality is not up to mark, thought its too early to say, thief alarm anf reverse alarm could have been better. for lamp should come with higher version. however i am very comfortable with rear manual window, rather it has several advantages.
