 Ford figo looks stylish from the front and have decent look from the rear.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 Nice interior and space is very good in the rear seat which will not see in most of the hatchback segment cars. Comfortable seating and good drivers view.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 Engine is very smooth and more over it uses the ford fiesta engine which is already proven engine.

Gear shifting is smooth and easy to handle

Since figo usue the fiesta diesel engine Fuel economy in highways should touch 20km/L. We have wait and see the feedback from the newly purchased users.

Ride Quality & Handling

 Good pickup and very solid on high speed. While driving you will have the feel of big car.

Final Words

 Very good car from Ford. This is the car which will give tough competion to Swift, Beat and RITZ.

Hi All,

I have applied some basic math and done a cost benefit analysis where in I have compared Figo with similar choices of cars. Kindly note that this excludes the servicing costs where the unbeaten Maruti offers the least costly spare parts and other brands are still catching up. However since Ford has developed local manufacturing and sourcing, the servicing costs are likely to go down.

Lets look at the analysis

I took the average on road price of 4-5 brands and compared it with the cost of Figo. I have looked at the manual petrol top variants of each brand that include safety features. The average price of other models in around Rs. 6,90,000 and Figo is 5,82,000 which gives up-front savings of 1,08,000. The travel distance over a 5 year period is assumed to be around 35,000km. Average mileage of other cars is around 16.5 kmpl whereas I have considered a low figure for Figo at 11 kmpl.

Given the distance and mileage (assumed it to be standard), the petrol required will be 2121 liters and 3182 liters for other cars and Ford Figo respectively. Current approximate petrol price is Rs. 70 per liter. Assuming it increases by Rs. 10 each year and reaches Rs. 110 in the final year, the average price over the 5 year period comes to Rs. 90 per liter. If we multiply this price with fuel required, it comes to Rs. 1,90,909 required for other cars where as Figo requires Rs. 2,86,364 which is an excess cost of 95,454.5, still resulting in a saving of approximately Rs. 12,000 (1,08,000 - 95,454.5) on the up front cost.

Lets look at the petrol price impact. I have assumed the price to increase by 10 each year i.e. Year 1 - 70, Year 2 - 80, Year 3 - 90, Year 4 - 100, Year 5 - 110 with standard mileage of 11 mpl across the years

Since the car is new, you drive little less in the first year increasing it till the third year and thereby reducing it gradually till the 5th year. The usage in kms each year is 6,000 - 7,500 - 9,000 - 6,500 - 6,000. With the average mileage of 11 kpml and price each year given above, the costs each year is - 38,181 - 54,545 - 76,636 - 59,090 - 60,000.

With your up-front saving of 1,09,00 you deduct the first year cost of 38,181 and invest the rest at 10% offered by any good investment avenue. Hence the saving of Rs. 69818.18 + 1 year interest of Rs. 6,981.81 comes to 76,800 at the end of 1 year. Deduct the second year costs from this and save the rest. The resultant figure is Rs. 22,254.55 + Rs. 2,225.45. There will no more money left to invest as the savings will be less than the cost.

Hence the final saving number is Up front cost saving + Interest earnings = 12,545.45 + 6,981.81 + 2,225.45 = 21,752.

I have not taken any servicing costs into account, which will have an impact on the saving. Just wanted to bring this to your notice. Any feedback / suggestions / comments / changes / improvements are welcome.

Exterior Very sporty looks.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious vehicle largest space in the rear seat...Excellent boot space, not seen in any other smaller car. Best in the segment I feel. awesome interiors. Bluetooth Feature is just tooooo Goood. With A Great Music Output. The Programmed key is sum thing different compared to other cars, Rapid Decleration Warning is one thing I have not seen in any other cars.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good pickup, great mileage, gear box is very responsive.

Ride Quality & Handling Vehicle is very stable on high speeds, on sharp turns it is very stable. I have not observed any Bklind Spots or Obstruction while taking turns. Good for lonbg Drives as I had travelled to Pune with the Car and it is jus so cool to drive.

Final Words No doubt best product in this segment, car is excellent. I would advised my Friends to go in for the Car. It is Really a value for money. No complaints.

Areas of improvement Only rear power windows should be added. No other improvements should be made as this car is one of the best.

I Have purchease a Ford Figo Car which has got burnt due to short circuit in head light. Ford company is not ready to accept their fault while It is a manufacturing default.

 Ford is giving reason for burning is, non Ford fitments i.e. audio system and rear parking sensor.

I have asked them, if this instance could happen due to audio system and rear parking sensor then the fire must be in the desk board and should have destroy interior part of car but in this case short circuit point was in head light which I never changed yet.

Please do not purchase Ford Car. I have video recording of burning ford car. If anyone is purchasing Ford car, please contact me. I will provide all details.

Ford company is not reverting on my queries which are as follows –

1. Can any short circuit happen in head light of Ford car due to fitment of audio system/rear sensor?

2. How many dealers are telling truth/informing to customer that non Ford fitment are not allowed in your cars?

3. How many short circuit cases you faced in Ford cars from Jan 12 to till date?

4. How many objections you received for technical issues in your car?

Exterior

Looks pretty cool, available in great colors. It has a smart, sensible and balanced look - neither excessively sporty or a freaky like Beat, Ritz etc, nor too boxy like Wagon R etc.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Impressive interiors, looks fresh - especially with the new coral dashboard. Features like bluetooth connectivity, CD Player, seat height adjustment, side mirror electronic adjustment at an unbelievable low price! Speedometer and other displays are dull. Odometer Interior quality definitely better than Maruti's A-star, Estilo etc, but could have been better. But still it is good for its price...

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Very smooth and refined engine, gentle suspension, smooth gear shift. However, the engine is sluggish with AC on. Difficult to accelerate quickly, especially a temporary deceleration.

Ride Quality & Handling

Great suspension and drive quality, easy and stress-free traffic manuevers. Excellent road grip and stability due to its high weight and low Center of Gravity.

Final Words

- Fresh new small car with excellent value for money. Unbeatable in space, comfort, refinement, drive quality and features.

Areas of improvement  

Ford could have provided 40-60 seat splitting... It can be made more powerful and fuel efficient without compromising its 'heavy' comfort. "Fuel Efficiency" is the mantra to win the Indian customer. Figo fitted with Ritz's engine will be ideal!

Interior features fabulous, glass holder is not provided but bottle holders placed within the doors, space is large, comfort is great.. superior quality...

engine performance is great.., fuel economy is not great.. @11 kmpl with full AC in mumbai traffic, @14 kmpl without AC on Highways, gearbox is amazing..

drove the car at 160 kmph and no shaking, excellent road grip, drive is smooth, control is what i was looking for and i got it.. handling is smooth..

Final Words

worth owning this car.. super value of money as of now... still need to test service centers... but i must say, ford technology is appreciable.. a lot of new arrivals are there in the market which i tested before i bought Figo and i am happy... value for money...

Exterior The front & the rear end of the car has good design but from the side it looks some-what dated. Front kinetic design is pleasing & gives a sedan car-like look. The rear load-lip is wide & low gives ease of luggage loading. Pillar tail lapms gives awesome look.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) View from the drivers' seat is excellent because of generous glass area.Coral-red dashboard not to my taste. Black-color dahsboard is better.Silver color inserts on dashboard & doors gives premium look. Steering should have been adjustable. Lots of cubby-holes add to the practicality. Front seats are comfortable & well-bolstered. Rear seats are also supportive & nice. Rear seats should have had Adjustable head-rests.Front leg-room is excellent. Rear leg-room is also very good. Rear seat folds but does not split. Overall head room is very good. Rear windows should have been power-operated. AC effect excellent. Feature-packed music system is very nice, specially the blutooth feature. Essential safety features are present. Boot space is very good & the most usable too. Overall fit n finish is very good.

Engine though is not the our-right performer, feels nice in the city traffic. It feels some-what under-powered on the highway. But its smooth n silky. Gearshift is precise. Overall performance is satisfactory.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride & handling of this car is excellent. Over the turns the body-roll is minimal. Hence you can control the car very well. Suspension soaks the bumps on the road pretty well. Streeing response is one of the best in this segment. Its precise & well-weighted.

Final Words Excellent VFM car. Ride & handling is awesome. Big on internal space. Internal fit n finish is very good. Most features are present.

Areas of improvement Engine power, some essential features.

Exterior Fine, the feature are very nice. I liked them and even buyed the car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Nice coral interior space and a nice boot space.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Giving a mileage of 16.9 in city and 21.4 in highway.

Ride Quality & Handling The main problem faced by this vehicle is that is getting pulled towards the left.

Final Words Buy this car at your own risk as i have buyed this car and this problem was arising I took it to the showroom and tell this thing to them. I tested the other cars also and were having the same problem in the problem was of right and in some it was of left.

Buy this only if get a test drive before purchasing the vehicle.

Areas of improvement It might a manfacturing defect as changing of tyre is not the right that you will change the tyres and the problem would be sorted out, like they have changed the tyres frm apollo - goodyear-MRF-Brigdestone.

BUT STILL THERE IS A PROBLEM IN EACH AND EVERY CAR. REST IS ALL FINE IN THIS CAR.
