Exterior Good but if u compare with alto it is cute.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good leg space, quality of plastic use is also good. U will feel comfortable inside.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good if ac is off with in city, as soon as u switch on the ac u will feel effect on pick up specially in city when u use to drive in 3rd & 4th gare at the max. Such difference is not seen on high way.
Ride Quality & Handling In small car segment u will enjoy driing chavy. Power staring with front disc brake makes u feel in commanding position. U will not feel the sound when u are waiting in signal.
Final Words Over all in small car segment the car is value for money if u see from inside space, pricing, in 1000 cc segment version, quality of material used.
Areas of improvement Diesel version in this segment as cost of petrol is increasing day by day as inside city avg will be in the range of 12 to 14 kmpl & long drive avg will be in the range of 15 to 17 kmpl.

Exterior Good designe & body. Less air resistance. Comfortable designe for parking. Front side look good, head light looks good, tail light good. Width & length good. Ground clerance low so tough the floor on bump & dug.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good interior , enough space, comfortable for 5 persons, Good driving experience. AC good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gearbox perfomance is poor, hard to operate 1st, 2nd & reverse gear. Engine perfomance is good. Fuel economy good. Required perodicaly maintenance. Maintenance cost high. Power steering is hard, poor work.
Ride Quality & Handling Good for ride, costly maintenance, poor suspension perfomance, tyre quality high. Spark is not long life car.
Final Words Not bad to keep for short duration.
Areas of improvement Required to improve in Transmission, suspension & steering system. If it's price low than other same segment car then think about purchasing spark.

I purchased Spark 1.0 PS in October 2009, and I completed 3 Yrs and 33K kilometers now.
My plan was to buy Alto, but my wife was against it. Her choice was Wagon R. Wagon R with almost 35K more it didn't fit my budget. Then I went for test drive for Spark and I felt it has better driving than Wagon R. So I went with Spark.
I am happy that I didn't buy Alto, I do not think it can match ride quality, presence on road and space I got with Spark. And not a single breakdown in till date.
Exterior Basically I do not like the looks Spark has. For that matter I do not like any one of the budget hatchbacks.
One issue I face is the paint quality and the body quality. It dents on slightest provocation :) . At a traffic signal one bike guy came from behind and fell against the left side back door. He then just drew away. I then got down and checked , found a big scratches on paint and deep dents.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I do not like the overall dash design. But the central mounted speedo console has never been an issue. I know only about the driving seat. The driving seat is excellent , no pains felt even after 33K kms.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Not sluggish. All 3Yrs. I mostly used to drive at speeds between 80-100 Kms at Mumbai - mostly highways. Eastern Express, Sion-Panvel.
Fuel ecomony I get around 15kms/ltr without AC.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality and Handling is A BIG THUMPS UP. Its very easy to handle.
Final Words I have got regular service at the Dealer , every 6 months or even before, I have not spent any money for maintenance, I have got spark plug, engine oil, filters, belt , brakepad etc etc .. changed as per the manufacturer's booklet without any charges. Apart from the scheduled part changes, they also changes parts as per owner's complaints, I got some my suspension parts replaced free of cost at end of 33 month after I complained of noice.
If I am given a choice again for small hatchback I will again for Spark. Its a nice car.

Exterior Look is very good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space is quite comfort, but good in small segment car compare to Alto and other small segment car.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I completed 80,000 km with my spark PS 1.0, purchased in August 2010. Initial 25000km with pure petrol and then onwards i fit CNG kit. Even today my sparks gave CNG milage around 22 - 25 Km/Kg with AC on highway and around 18 km/kg in town.
Engine was smooth and silent till 40K-45K km. Evenafter maintaining service schedule as per company notification after 45000km cabin noise started and dont know why engine becomes so noisy? AC sounnd within cabin is unbearable. Due to engine noise and AC cabin sound I usually felt that I am driving some old diesel car or jeep and couldnt really felt that I am driving Petrol and CNG car. Compare to1000cc Spark same capacity Alto, wagon R, Santro, i10 have more soundproof cabin and less engine noise even if I compare km of my spark with all these car. Gearbox should be relocated like i10 and ritz.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is ok but I am happy with handling of my spark
Final Words It was not upto expectation especially from GM and Cheverolet. Required more silent cabin.
Areas of improvement Cabin sound, Engine quality and proper service station with proper service mans in your workshop.

We have owned our Spark from new, and it has covered less than 24,000 miles and has full service history from the supplying dealership.
This summer the car started to develop a major misfire (Engine management lamp illuminated), leabving the car almost undriveable. Dealer was contacted and they told us to drive it to them for inspection. The dealer kept the car a whole week, during which time they diagnosed a failed injector, which they replaced. Even though still within warranty this fault was declared not covered and we had to pay for diagnostics, component, and labour.
1 /2 tank of fuel later the problem returned, leaving my wife stranded on a major motorway, with a 3 mile walk to the nearest exit.
Our complaint to the dealership was met with the exact words "It's a Spark, what do you expect" Truely amazing customer service.
Against our better Judgement we returned the car to the dealership once more. Once more diagnostics indicated thta an injector needed replacing, once again we had to shell out for replacements and labour as the waranty did not cover the fault.
1/2 tank of fuel later the problem returned, We have lost confidence in our little car, and more importantly the Chevrolat brand.
PARAPHRASING THE MAIN DEALER'S OWN WORDS: THE CHEVROLET SPARK IS CRAP, AND UNRELIABILITY AFTER 24,000 MILES IS NORMAL.
OUR ADVICE: AVOID COMPLETELY. THE CAR IS UNRELIABLE, DANGEROUS AND COSTLY TO KEEP ON THE ROAD. DEALER SUPPORT IS ABYSMAL.

Areas of improvement Service centers has to be improved in terms of quality. But Chevy promise makes us a nice deals to purchase.

I bought this budget car in Oct 2008 and drove it all around Delhi NCR, also touched several hill spots of Uttranchal. One year back i get the CNG installed for my daily run of around 120 KMs and even after crossing 64000 KMs it is still a nice car to drive. Very low on maitenance just need few bucks here and there, and it returns to you its amazing drive.
The only problem, i faced is AC. I never enjoyed the AC too much in this car, and usually drive with windows down even in summers.
I feel of comfort for both front and rear passengers, pick up, cool horn sound and the fnicky tail light in night makes it a real separator in the entry level segment.
But keeping the AC aside, this is a real cool car with good looks and you can drive this forever on and on.

Hi all of you. I have purchased my first car, The Spark. It was cheap considering the features provided therein. I had initially zeroed in on Maruti Zen Estilo and Santro. But the cost vrs. features brought the spark ahead of others. I am not sure about this advantage if the price increases i.e; the discount scheme is removed. My first experience : It is dead silent and very smooth. I have not driven much. I will be able to offer my practical view later.
As far the looks are concerned, it does turn the heads of the passers-by towards it. That does give a satisfying feeling to assuage my ego. Joking!.
My only concern, will GM close down? It is running huge loss of $45 billion as per its Annual Report. Will I get the spares in such an eventuality? I hope someone can redress my concern.

I haven't seen this car on long highways towards the village areas, most of them are maruti's alto and tata's indica, but this car i have taken long about 532 kms towards the goa side from mumbai, man this car really rules and also efficient for money which we use to drive the car, i haven't seen any jerks while driving and the pick up the main constraint for this car. it just goes from 0 to 100 kms / hr in 10 secs just imagine when u are on a busy highway and u are hurrying towards your destination, this car just smoothly taken u werever u wanna go with your family. it just goes on in traffic very smoothly and no need to adjust more due to the curves at the front and end. MAn liked this car very much....and hopes u too!! I believe in chevy now onwards. Following were other brands which was raced along on highways with this car and made them stay way ahead : 1) honda city 2) skoda octavia 3) tata indigo 4) tata indica 5) honda CR-V 6) ford fiesta 7) hyundai i-10 8) sx4 9) swift d=zire and swift
The only car tough on the challenge with this car was : Maruti's alto!!
