Well Done! Chevrolet...

First of all, I think there is one thing that i should clarify about GM/Chevrolet India. Chevrolet is fairly a new brand compared to the rest of the automobile pack. They are still on a learning foot and at this stage there will be rights and wrongs. Even for Maruti, the initial stage was the same, just think about the new Zen. Today Chevrolet has almost the right product line-up and are doing fairly well. They are giving 3year no cost of maintainence free with Spark at almost the price of an Alto. What else can you ask for? Coming to Cruze. I have had the privilege of driving one of the LTZ model test drive car and i was swept off my feet. The car is a great head turner. It looks just stunning. The engine is awesome. Though there is a lag till at about 1.7-1.8rpm, but after that its a rocket and it does not loose its grip while lift off or on the way to 200kmph.The engine is very responsive in all the gears. Breaking, with all four disc breaks, ABS is nice. With all this power it is not bad on Fuel Economy. The car has been certified by ARAI to give a mileage of 18.27KMPL. The interior, i think is one of the best in its class. The quality of the materials used is classy. The Start/Stop Button is an amazing feature, known only to exist in Sports cars worth few Crores. Sunroof works perfectly. The rain sensing wipers are also class apart. The sound system does a fairly nice job. The driver seat is very comfy and has good thigh support. The only thing thats lacking is power seat function. Automatic defoggers both rear and front. The leg room on the back seat is a bit on the lower side, but i would not complain about it much, as the seats are very comfortable. Auto Air conditioning / Climate control works nicely. and the MID Screen menu and functions are well laid out and fairly easy to understand and navigate through. In final words Chevrolet Cruze could just be what Chevrolet India has been waiting for. It a very neatly packaged Car and Value for money to the dime. I do not think that at this price point i can ask for anything else. A job well done Chevrolet.
