Beat is good car actually it is the best for my requirement, all i wanted was one sporty look diesel car with good mileage, i was ready to compromise with minor stuffs like leg room, boot space, back seat comfort, these things are not so important for me as i am from middle class and i personally feel these stuffs are okay we can adjust, more over it is just a car not living room.

I have seen people comparing BEAT with SWIFT/i20/Polo and rating it as BAD, guys rate the car according to its segment/Class/Fuel type. you can compare it with FIGO/I10/Astar/EON/RITZ. BEAT is kind of entry level car and this car is for middle class small family(4 members) not for the one who talks about horse power/RPM/TURBO/0-100 in X seconds.

As i told you all I wanted is good mileage diesel car and found beat diesel as the best and i choosed this BEAT over FIGO, I didnt purchased this car just like that did so much of investigation and found this suits me the best and thank god it is one of my best choice. I own BEAT but i still feel FIGO is also really good,  just two difference made me to choose BEAT over FIGO is Looks and mileage, rest of the things are almost similar between these two.

Reasons for choosing BEAT over FIGO/VISTA is 1st - Exterior : BEAT exterior look is way better than FIGO and VISTA. 2nd - Price difference, beat is cheapest compared to any other diesel hatch back car(except INDICA - TAXI :-) ) 3rd - Maintenance cost is very less, also dont forget in BEAT you need to change engine oil(agree it is semi synthetic oil) every 15000KM where as the rest of the cars requires oil change after every 5000KM(not 100% sure on this part).

now i have completed 30000KMS, 4 years 5 months. I didnt spend single rupee till date other than maintenance, i do see some minor issues with beat, Thats Boot space(170 Liters) which is very less and you can hardly keep only 3 to 4 backpacks thats it. Another issue is with the Pick up with AC ON, without AC its seriously good enough. I hardly use AC so I Ithink for me it is okay, dont forget it is again 936CC car so power drops off but it doesn't mean AC is bad it is okay.

now coming to mileage, I am getting 17-18KMPL in city and 24-25KMPL in highway. I am not a Chevy dealer or someone trust me i am getting 24-25 in highway and i dont drive rash (Well some times Yes ) and in highways my max speed is just around 90-100KM/H never crossed. Just once i touched 130KMH but i didnt push further may be because I dont trust my driving skills.

People sometimes fail to choose right car for their requirement and they end up choosing wrong car and what they do is to blame car or car company blindly. now that i see many people complaining that BEAT diesel is weak, Its well known truth that BEAT engine is minature of FIAT's multijet diesel engine.

Best model to go for is LT, I won LS model n i still regret for not choosing LT model, LT is top end model comes with everything except ABS and airbags. Want ABS and Airbag as well go for LT(Optional).
