      Exterior No other car comes near to this car in terms of styling. On top of it their are so many colors available that you really feel pampered. I have a red colored one, looks are amazing and every little accessory adds to its looks, even a simple fire extinguisher looks good in the car, thanks to matching red color.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space is good, never felt crammed even with four people driving long distances. However in case of driver seat, I felt some problem, but that was normal since i prefer have huge legrooms on driver seat.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine pick up is amazing, you can go upto 160 without any vibrations and best part is you will feel in complete control even at that speed. The roaring sound of engine gives a sporty feel to the entire experience.

      Fuel economy is not great. my current average after 2 yrs is approx 13 KMPL in ciy and around 18 KMPL on highway. I checked with few peop

      Ride Quality & Handling Comfortable and smooth. Good car for city traffic since it has shorter turning radius and good heights.

      Only problem is with the rear glass. The glass size is prity small compared to all other cars. The door lock is also situated on the window, this blocks a good part of the rear view. Thus one is left with no option but to drive with side mirror. The problem persist even with front mirror, where the side rails are also wide enough for a complete two wheeler to be missed from your side.

      Final Words If styling is of prime importance than go for it. Only drawback is the maintenance cost and average. 

      Areas of improvement Both mirrors can be made better, so that driver can have a better look.

      Got my BEAT in MArch'11. Probably few initial one with LT Opt Kit and in eye catching green color. Had to fight hard with GM to deliver my BEAT with preferred color and Opt Kit.

      Style is Amazing. Pick up is good while still feel that can be better specially in grea 1. Good power. Sp. when driving on slope, you can make out the power of BEAT. U can feel 1.2lit engine power there.

      Gear shifting is bit harder (after many time greasing). Mileage is low (comparatively) but i would say it depends on traffic, road condition and city you drive.

      Auto Mirror adjustment from inside is missing feature. Blue tooth synchronization is another aspect to improve.

      But still after driving 15000 km of my BEAT, i am very very happy with the performance and still would like to keep driving no matter how many Hatch bk pop up in market like mushrooms in rain. My beat will BEAT them all.

      Exterior It really awesome styling, I m in love with my car seeing it from outside.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are good with good Aircon, EPS but space is bad and its not a good car in ditchy road, when this car goes through any dump unevenly it shakes the passenger too much causing lot of strain to the body i guess it is an issue with the suspension, simply u will be shaken like hell apart from this issue i live this car.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is super even though it has only 1000cc it runs like hell it can esaily touch 140 kmph, when I drive no other car can overtake me, 70-100 kmph pick up is amazing, fuel economy is good even though I drive pretty rash it give an avergae of 20kmpl gear box is good.

      Ride Quality & Handling, handling is very easy on smouth roads, braking is very good with ABS.

      Final Words I had ford ikon 2001 model so I feel comfort is bit lacking in it, but if u r a 1st time or only used small car segment, this is the car for u.

      Areas of improvement  only need to improve suspension and shaking made by car when it is in bumpy road.

      Exterior

       Excellent. Lower versions unnecessarily made cheap by removing steel lining in the front grill.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

       Excellent. Good space for both rear and front passengers. Excellent experience for long drive. Never feels tired even after 12 hours of continuous drive. Feels like running at 70's even at a speed of 120km/hr.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       "Lovely noise" i can say inside the cabin which gives a feeling of power. The engine sound is like suppressed version of Mahindra Jeep which gives a feeling of great power at the same time gives a feeling of sitting inside a top class car. Has great power above 1900 rpm, which is a surprise for a 3 cylinder, 936cc diesel engine. Optimum blend of milage and power. With this power, it also gives a fuel efficiency of 14.5 kmpl in city and 21 kmpl in highway after 1st service. It is expected to go up further once 2nd and 3rd services are done.

      Ride Quality & Handling

       Excellent. Easy to handle even for beginers.

      Final Words

       Great buy as it gives high value for the money.

      Areas of improvement  

       Despite of great power above 1900 rpm, chevy should think about the lack of power at low rpm. Even though this should not be a problem as it can be managed by changing gear, it remains as a black dot at some corner of mind.

       

      Good fuel economy, effortless driving, great feel, great power beyond 1900 rpmless power below 1900 rpm makes overtaking bit difficult at higher gear.

      Exterior Beat is excellent car with sporty look, very good workman ship, good uality of paint, and dashing colurs.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Suitable for small family, good city car,

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very good pick up, very less noisy and one can not differrentiate between petrol and deisel engine. having latest technology , bosch comman rail fuel injection system in diesel engine, and GM has put great efforts in designing.

      In samll car segement 936 cc , 3 cylinder engines, performance is excellent.

      Ride Quality & Handling Being compact car, can easily ride in heavy traffic, and excellent dynapmics.

      Final Words Straight way go for Beat Diesel, economic running, and very good option against Wagon-R, and other similar segement cars. Car is being manufactured in Talegoan Industrial area in Pune, and state of art manufctruing facility.

      Areas of improvement Some more features need to be added in LS model, to make it more cost effective, but all in all excellent car.

      Exterior Stylish and eye catching (most exterior panels are plastic, todays cars safety?).

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Best interior material quality, Comfortable in the front seats, new design - instrument cluster, Worth the money.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The pickup is not good at low gears if AC is ON, Fuel economy is excellent, 26 kmpl in highway(80% AC ON), 22kmpl in City drive(no AC), Except 1st gear the gearbox is soo smooth, 1st gear is fine after 1st service.

      Ride Quality & Handling EPS makes easy to drive, but very shaky at bad roads.

      Final Words I am happy with the car and the mileage, driven 1600 kms within 10 days of purchase :-) (1200 km in highway at steady 80km and 400 km in city), joy to drive in good roads.

      Areas of improvement Reduce the blind spots, steel bumpers to improve safety. All other corns like poor pickup, less boot space and rear leg space are known while purchase and I am ok with that. For any more details u can ask me :-)

      Exterior Good, rear door handle quite stylish, ground clearance should be improved for Indian roads particularly. tyres are small for this category however wheel covers are quite good.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

      Space- very crowded for  a family of more than 4 adults, interiors are grey- black-litlle bit boring kind, ups- lots of spaces for storage, google,cell phone , bottle holders, cupholder e.t.c.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox;

      Power- average city conditions averg around 12- 13 km/l highways 15 km/l only, fuel efficeincy- very poor, gear box- quite smooth, cluthes are quite smooth as well, overall engine handling is quite good.

      Ride Quality & Handling Good, shock absorbers are quite efficient, power steering is not that smooth, needs improvement, otherwise decent handling for city driving

      Final Words Petrol version- not worth buying with the present options available.

      Areas of improvement Fuel efficiency, passenger space, boot space should be increased , doors locks should be made smooth, ground clearance should be increased. overall needs lots of improvement to match the competetion which is very tough in current market.

      Style, dashboard, cabin noise level- very low, Gear box- smoothboot space, rear leg room , Poor mileage, doors opening- very rough

      Exterior:


      Aero dynamic and beautiful except for the way the rear side is designed. It could have been better if the height and width was same as it is at the beginning of front roof. That would have given a little broader view and space could have been saved for dicky space and more light could have come though the better window space!!!

      Superb - but very stingy ideas of the interios for different classes.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

      I am not so knowledgeable to comment on this. But speaking of it from my drive - it is a superb companion when you are alone too. lol (I like the noise it makes when I drive slowly). The engine seems to be best of its class and GM has truly used it rightly for fuel efficiency and drive comfort and capacity. To quote an example - my drive to a place near by Kundapura (partly udupi and manalore) last year, it gave me 29 KM/L and on my way back it gave  me 8 KM/L in the ghat sections where I was mostly driving in 2nd gear; only in few places I drove in 3rd gear - shifting from 1st to 3rd gear was tremendous exercise!!! But the rest of the journey from Kukke Subramanya, the car gave me almost 16+ KM/L. An average of it comes to 17.6 KM/L. Not bad.

      Recently, I visited Shimoga. Travelled almsot 700+ KM. Unbelievably it gave me an averave of 24 KM/L. It would have been better if I were not driving in the city at all. lol We can't escape it.

      Ride Quality & Handling

      This again is a very enjoyable one with the best music on. The most of the contribution for the road grip goes to the power stearing control and smooth gear box. The only problem I see is - pick up. Yes it is bad when you have to slow down and pick up the acceleration. I don't mind digesting this fact!

      Final Words

      I hope my next car - if at all I buy - is at least as reliable and better as My Chevorlet Beat is. :)

      Excellent for long drives. Very good fuel efficiency. Gives nice, Safe and comfortable drive.Less dicky space. Back design could have been better. Side beams near the mirrors are too broad.

      Exterior

       Gathers numbers on small sports car that fits into every car lovers pocket. Commands a presence on road with its muscle looks. A young appeal,feel you part of the new world. The rear door handle makes you feel different from the mundane while entering the back seat.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

       Dashboard deserves a applause for the style and being different. The amazing compact speedometer is not possible to find one in the B+ segment car. Features hepls you keep comfartable in the current busy time. Space is good at the front but lack in the rear. Rear sitting is quite boring which lacks amusement. Small boot space is a problem if you carrying three big bags.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       1.2L engine generates enough power to pass through the busy roads, big highways, high mountain roads. Fuel economy is impressive enough in the 1.2L engine. Cheverolet is already standing with it existing product line performance.

      Ride Quality & Handling

       Easy to handle on cormers with command on the road. A youngster in rush will love to drive it.

      Final Words

      Warranty offered by the Chevrolet badge is a much added advantage. Pricing is very difficult to beat by the competition. It would be great if the chevrolet come out with a diesel option in the near future.

      Areas of improvement  

       Rear space need to be improved. Plastic quality if improved in the doors would be very satishfactory.

      Exterior

       If Only Looks mattered Beat LT is a killer.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

       Console is beautifully placed and styled but the plastic quality is bad. Rear seat space is less if compared to i10. Also u get a suffocating feeling in the back seat due to black plastic next to the rear windows.

      Front seating is very good. The digital screen given looks gud in nite but dont know whether the extreme heat in india it would be able to handle.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       Not peppy at all. Going from 2nd to 3rd even after giving race u dont feel car is picking up. big area of improvement in this. gearbox is nice but in i10 its more smooth and nicely placed.

      Ride Quality & Handling

       Was nice but there was a noise which was coming from the bottom of the car which on asked to the dealer guy didnt have any clue.

      Final Words

       Looks only dont kill.....consider other options too.
