BMW 520 d not a true BMW DNA

Exterior

Looks like any other BMW. Either you like it or hate it.  

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Interiors are ordinary. Ordinary leather, and plastics. Wood like panel and dash looks nice

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

520d didn't measure up to my expectation. I drive an Audi A6 and compared to it, BMW ride was stiff. 2 literI engine is less than adequate for this car. Gearbox is nice and completely electronic

Ride Quality & Handling

you have multiple options in the newer model. Comfort drive is most comfortable on bad roads. Mumbai roads are bit too harsh for this BMW

Final Words

Car does not live upto BMW image. If you are BMW fan, buy 530D. 520D is poor compromise by BMW to shave some top line of the price. But lot is lost in the process

Areas of improvement  

List is long. Match 530D features. Tune 2 liter engine like Audi has. BMW should remain a drivers car
