Best Option in the Segment(19,000 kms done)

Exterior

 One of the most well rounded Tata Cars ever! The Humanity Line that runs from the front to all the way back gives it a more aerodynamic look. The doors have a nice and reassuring "Thud" sound. The wheels are large and give the car an aggressive stance with a much needed ground clearance. The boot look very well integrated. The front grille is shaped like Vista. But thats where the resemblance stops. The looks butch and tough. Almost gives u a feeling that it can go anywhere!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It is the most featurich car in this segment.The dashboard is the best in this segment. You can almost forget that its a tata car until you are remined by the big logo on the steering wheel. The quality is unlike any Tata car I have ever experienced. The fit and finish, the quality of materials used is a notch above the competition and a huge leap forward in comparision to other tata cars.

The Harman Infotainment System is a treat! It has no CD changer but it has the usual pendrive and aux plus, it has a card reader! The voice recognition system works amazingly well!

I have done 19,000 kms in 1&half years. The driving position is commanding and comfortable. The visibility is great. The seats are very comfortable and almost cocoon you. Rear seats can easily accomodate 3 average sized people. 

The Glove box is decent in terms of accessibility and capacity. The interior though could have been more practical as the storage options are very limited and there are no bottle holders in the doors.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It is a trusted and time tested Fiat Quadrajet Engine. It is very refined and quite frugal. There is a mild turbo lag but its lesser than any car in this segment. Once you cross 1500rpm, it comes alive! Its quite responsive. The drive is peppy and fun. The anti roll bars are very confidence inspiring and you can go into the turns at high speeds. The suspensions are very good and allow a nice and firm driving experience.

The shifter is short and smooth. You can switch through gears very easily!

The fuel economy is quite respectable as i got 14-15kmpl in city driving and 20kmpl on the highways.

Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is outstading! Very confidence inspiring car. On cruising speeds, the engine becomes silent an the car hugs the road very well. 

Final Words At this price, the car more than satisfies the owner. Its a huge improvement over any car Tata has produced till date!

The power-assisted steering is an awesome adition.

I would recommend this car to anyone looking to buy a car under this segment. I test drove Dzire, Amaze, Xcent and none could match the overall experience.

Areas of improvement As the car is near perfect, I have to be nitpicky in terms of areas of improvement.

The front could have been more unique. Turbo lag can be eliminated.
