Dear friends,
I purchased tata xenon xt 4x4 on 19-7-2014 from m/s ambika sales, amboli, kamrej, nh8, Surat
District, gujarat. after driving it for 3to 4 days i found that it's alignment is not proper,
It was pulling suddenly on the left side at around 45degree even at the lowest speed of 10-20 km/h.
I complaint for this and it was taken to workshop, after 10 days tata workshop peolple came with xenon back, when i tested again sitting with tata engineer it was having same condition, they again taken back my vehicle to workshop.
today almost 2and half month has passed still my brand new xenon xt is in the workshop, local tata engineers has said that they are not capable to repair such vehicle at surat, so they want to take it to the TML pune, but they are not giving any assurance for repairing, even they have not given job card's customer copy.
I complained customer care for this but that people has no time to resolve my issue. no body is taking responsibility for this issue. I paid two insttalment of bank also.
I email several times to each and every people but I did not get any reply. Now I am going for consumer court. lets see what happens.
I clearly advise you DO NOT BUY XENON XT even tata people dont know how to repair it. If any one wants to know more can email me.

Exterior Great looks. that's the best part of this vehicle. Imposing, commanding, it announces your arrival. Heads turn, people stop and ask. If you like attention, you'll get loads of it in the Xenon. I still stare at it sometimes myself, after owning it for one year.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Typically Tata.. read tacky plastics, finish. Could be much much better for the price. Space in the front is good, but the back seat is too upright and legspace is not the best. The back seat folds partly for nothing at all.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great engine, fantastic pick up for such a monstrous truck. I regularly beat petrol cars at the traffic lights. Fuel economy is acceptable. 11 on the highway w/ ac. I used to ahve a Skoda, so anything else is a fuel guzzler. Gearbox. was really hard at the start. Much better now. But it's still a bit rubbery and is definitely not the best. Also u need to change gears often. The 4 WD is great. on the fly so I don't need to stop. I do a bit of offroading at work and I'm glad it works like a charm.
Ride Quality & Handling Poor, but I guess that's because of the rear leaf springs. That said, i used to drive Ford and Toyota pick up trucks in Australia, and they rode much smoother. Can we expect international quality in our Indian cars as yet? Or am I being fussy? The handling is quite good, though THE TYRES ARE WEARING OUT AT 30k KMS, despite getting them checked every 5K kms.
Final Words Overall, it really depends on your usage. For me it works because I do a lot of highway driving, carry stuff around, do offroading, and I have a second city car. Not practical if u want to use it in the city, and if you're not going to use the tray and still want to buy it, you need to get a life.
Areas of improvement Hmm... where do I start. Firstly Tata needs to improve the overall quality of its vehicles. I have been to the service centre numerous times for small niggling issues. This never happens with my marutis. Second, Tata NEEDS to improve its interiors trim if it wants to be considered a par with foreign brands. Third, the suspension can be improved. And fourth, THE PRICE IS RIDICULOUSLY HIGH. I bought a display vehicle at a cheaper rate, but there was no way I would pay 10 lacs for a pick up truck.
Engine, 4WD, tray, looks, reliabilityPoor interior finish, detailing, niggling problems, bulky for city

Hi this is Girish Kedar from Nasik. After a long time TATA has brought a car for which many of us were waiting. The first thing to be note about Xenon is it comes under SUV segment and not as a pick-up vehicle. Before a test drive I have finalise that I am surely going to purchase it boss. Strong, sports look, comfort accommodation, value for money and many more. The best part in it is you can take it on any kind of road without tension because the height & power company has given. Long distance traveling makes a pleasant and tireless journey same goes to short journeys. The grip it has on road is Superb. Xenon is with the same engine as the Safari and is there in four attractive shades. A big perfect car for family I will say. Guys trust me Xenon is going to Rocks. 😊 Just go n see it once.

Exterior Is good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Not comfi
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Worse performance.
Ride Quality & Handling Worse, The worse pick up ever seen. No after sales support no hearing nothing. I bought this xenon 4x4 but it didnt perform I complaint about it but no one listened. My xenon unable to clime the places where normal cars and suv can. I tried to get in touch with the head but no one listen about it. I had words with Shelesh (technical head) of india. He told me that next time you visit any hill station get it checked their only, I went to manali and get it checked their and they gave me in written that their is a manufacturing fault in the car but after the shelesh didnt even care to pick up the call I called him for one month regularly but he didnt responded. Even I asked workshop that send the guy with me to the hill station on my expense but no one was ready. Better not to buy. I am going through a consumer court case for last one and half year but still no one cares.
Not to waste money on this product of tata its not reliable.
Areas of improvement Ttata can never improve themself.

Exterior Looks spectaculer. An absolute stunner.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Terrible interiors. worst possible rear head space and leg space . seats are totally bench like, and do not even remotely come close to being called comfortable.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is reasonably smooth, though at times does feel a little under powered. could have deffinitely used a 3.0lt 150 bhp engine. this is basically a wanna be tough guy. lacks in pretty much every aspect , apart from the looks. very rubbery feel to the gearbox, not at all upto the mark.
Ride Quality & Handling Poor ride quality. It amplifies every single bump on the road 2fold (I'm talking of the reasonably decent roads in the city. Don't even get me started with the bad rural roads.) when offroading mildly, it honestly does'nt feel any better than a dump truck. Very average in terms of handling. the suspension is an absolute disaster.
Final Words Very very bad choice for an actual user. But on the weekends if you want people to be staring at you and girls to drool all over. you have got an absolute winner. (DO NOT OFFER ANY OF THE GIRLS TO GO OUT FOR A SPIN.).
Areas of improvement A 3.0LT 150BHP ENGINE. Would really get it right. more head space and leg space at the back. better angle of recline for the back seat. shorten the rear bed a little, and prefferably add a little space behind the rear seat for additional speakers, bass-tubes, etc. In general the build quality and the plastic used in the dash and sides all need to improve drastically. even a stightly higher price tag would'nt hurt, but only if all these issues could be dealt with.
looksterrible seating ( rear seat specially) , very bumpy ride , low on power, pricing , comfort
