Buying experience -- Concorde is considered as one of the best place to buy a Tata car. But the worst dream came true when we went to book the car. Customers are not a priority for them. Period. Riding experience -- The first few drives were great. Smell and feel of a new car took over the bad buying experiences. But then gradually the poor product design related things started cropping up. Stereo started showing its tantrums. AMT went berserk. Creep was not working until tapped out of slumber, and then it moves with a jerk which can't be controlled with brakes! Electricals were not behaving like they should, and above all people started asking why I purchased a small diesel car!! Details about looks, performance etc. -- Car is heavy and thus gives a planted feel till 80-90ish kmph speeds. I even took it to 160kmph on needle few times, but that's suicidal and I'm feeling sorry for myself. Suspension is fine but can be tuned a bit for more comfortable ride. Looks are okay, I like it but can't say that I always looks twice at it while moving away from it after a drive! Space is decent in front, back and in boot. Tyres are enough. Wide, big and grippy. No negatives on that part. Servicing and maintenance -- That's the weakest link yet. I'd say that Tata's learning curve is still going through customers' pockets. Apart from the seniors sitting in air-conditioned cubicles in Authorised Service Centers, no one is worth taking to! I wish one of them could actually work on my car. :D Pros and cons -- Tiago is selling like hotcakes. Great. But how many owners are satisfied after using it for more than 2-3 years? If I am guessing it wrt social media rants, more than 75% of people are not happy with the long term ownership of Tiago AMT variant. 3-cylinder engine and its noisy nature is the biggest culprit. AMT technology is a cheaper alternative, but it can be tweaked properly fora better experience. Weight and safety feature are surely a plus point with Tiago. And so is the VFM factor. But it slides down several notches due to poor overall ownership experience. I'm planning to sell off mine, but waiting for some jackpot to bear the loss of poor resale of this car. :)
