    DRIVING:
    Few thousand kilometers
I am that kind of a person who roamed on my Avenger 220 mostly alone cruising on whatever roads our country has to offer. Added to my bike were the compartments, all that Studds has to offer. Nobody to answer to, no liabilities, a job which allowed me to travel at least quaterly for 10-12 days straight. Ahh, being single had it perks. Last year(February) got married to my college buddy. She liked the bike but wanted safety and comfort in a journey. She also have the passion to travel and is amazed by the variety of landscapes our country has, same as me. Our hunt for our four wheeled companion began in April. Dwelling in Bangalore, I was sure that some second hand dealers can be trusted, so I started viewing some old but not retired, Dhoni sort of a car. I came across many god condition toyotas(corrola), hondas(city, civic) skodas(laura) but I was in dilemma because cars like those easily hug the breakers and some not so got roads ( my Dad have a honda city back at my native place) . Plus maintenance idea was also sketchy for those brands. I was on my way to work and one demo car bright orange caught my attention( being a bike enthusiast I seldomly checked cars new launches etc, plus aukaat) I initially thought it was some rich kids import. But on a red light I saw and was confused to see a tata logo. Fast forward, I went to Tata showroom (domlur) to see that. After taking the good look and with immense newfound respect for tata motors i went to youtube. Viewed some videos and next day went for test ride with my wife. I freaking loved it. Though I did not have that kind of money to purchase it in one go, Tata guys were helpful enough to understand and arranged a financing option. After that I negotiated with few other banks (axis, hdfc) and finally ended with tata finance itself. (Good decision) Since then, i have driven 6000 odd kms and two services done( After sale service of tata is not half as bad as others say) I liked the way they took care of me and my car. I will list few things in points. Pros- * Looks (may be subjective but i like the youthful/funky approach given) * 'kitna deti hai'? - "Bhaut" i get 16kmpl in bumper to bumper traffic (tank fill-up method) in eco mode. On highways 23kmpl eco mode cruising max @ 110kmph . *ground clearance - I have been to Coorg, hampi, ooty, chickmangalur, shettihalli, goa, allepey, munnar. And needless to say i have encountered bad or no roads. And not a single thing scratched from the bottom. * sound system- hilla k rakh dega. Connect it to apple car play and relax . * sound isulation. Hardly anything come in from engine( i have been in safari storm for many trips and wind noise, engine noise that comes there is In no comarison to nexon) * interior- " i bet if you take the interior picture edit it to remove the logo on steering wheel and ask an unbiased person to rate it, he/she will say its german" the touch to everything in cabin is so smooth and feel of it is so rich no rattling or pucky noise from anything. * view - in my quest of purchasing a car i sat in many cockpits but the commanding view you get in nexon, for this price bracket you wont get. Not even in brezza or ecosport. PERFECT CAR FOR OUR FAMILY OF THREE( Me, my wife, and zoya(golden retriever)) Cons * Itne paise me itna hi milta hai- "the roof light in the cabin is just so dim. You cant see a thing kept on the back seat. * Boot opens from inside(like WTF everytime you have to open the boot you have to open the driver door and then press the botton on centre console for doing so) * suspension- diesel varient is a bit heavy. Therefore suspension is on the stiffer side( i guess) But as you gain speed (50-60kmph) it smoothens out. * software on the infotainment- though sound quality is nice the software is a bit glitchy. While navigating sometimes the screen go blank for no reason. Connecting to android auto then you can play the songs from the passengers phone. Not even via bluetooth. (Real bummer) Rest everything is just fine. Definitely the best first car i could have bought. This February we are planning to go to rajasthan with this. Hope you got a clearer picture after reading. Go and buy the SAFEST car in India for this price. Cheers. Hope I helped.
