Tata Nexon [2017-2020] User Reviews

I have been driving the NEXON Petrol AMT version for almost 12000 kms. Most of my usage is on highways. The cars best area is the ride quality is excellent. In spite of being an SUV body roll is very well contained and soaks the bumps on the road very easily. It has an excellent entertainment system from HARMAN. It has some intelligent features like space for an umbrella in the front doors, coat hanger, bag hanger in the front passenger seat, etc. The improvement area is the AMT itself. It is very unpredictable and the jerks are felt. However, you can still live with the shortfalls of AMT if you are getting used to it. You may feel that you are not able the control the vehicle in hill start-stop traffic as you will see a very slight roll back before it creeps forward. When you intend to reverse on an uphill roll down is there. This is a very rare situation. It has very good cargo space compared to its competitors (~ 340 L). Out on an open stretch the car cruises at 100 kmph in just 2000 rpm. It has the driving modes which comes handy during city rides. In the manual mode, you feel the best power for hilly sections and open stretches as well. In the next version some of the nice to have touched are: 1. Cruise control. 2. Moon roof/Sunroof (However available as an accessory by TATA itself) 3. Better AMT tuning. 4. Complete protection to the back seat on the cargo space.
