Buy it before you die best car. CNG below seat. You will get full boot . Much space than alto. Ride quality superb. Try it once your money will not go anywhere. Stering is nice. Crack on road deal with Tata below 3 lakhs.buy CNG nano and AVG. Of 30km. Less insurance premium. Less paid service. Cheap parts costs. I love nano CNG.

      1. I buyed my Nano Lx in 2014. It was a value for money too. 2. I found the car quite comfortable to drive in every road condition. 3.Even though the Nano is not so attractive, but its performances are awesome.starting from the turning radius to the heaters and ac's. Everyone thinks that there is not much feature in Nano lx but there are all the necessary features including power window for the front doors. 4.The service and maintenance cost is not high as it is a small car.

NANO offers, attractive VFM package to average Indian middle class. Actual performance of Petrol car will be known after July. But DIESEL engine is already a success..!! Tata ACE & MAGIC are excellent rural carriers, hopefully Nano will share power from these mini-Trucks..!! May be DIESEL NANO (even though about Rs.35000-50000 costlier) will be much better than Petrol one, in all aspects. What can you expect at around 1.5 Lakhs..?? Anyway, noticable changes that are needed in NANO include Front Tyres 135/70 R12 too small, Rear Tyres 155/65 R 12 too big for Nano. Will it have 2 spare wheels..?? Where is the luggage space..??  (In replacement market these unique tyres will be costly). I think standard all 4 tyres should be 145/70 R 12And wheel should be nutted by 4 bolts (not 3 as displayed)..

All cheers for great Indian effort & spirit..!!

Styling, Excellent VFM, Dream come true for an average IndianFront & Rear Tyres differ a lot in Size need 2 spare wheels, where's space..??

yesterday my friends was talking about the new nano car  and was making laughter challenge of it, i intervene that the car is not built for people like them who drives civic or sx4 but it is built for common man who can hardly afford to buy a 2 wheeler and who could only dream of a small or second hand car             SALUTE TO TATA

looks are very stylish and people will feel very greedy to have one of it infront of there house.thereare no power brakes, collapsible steering, power doors, power mirrors, but they have given power windows in some of its varients which u can get only in rs300000/- models

my view is after the early dash this car will end on commercial side  as an great alternative to AUTORICKSHAW,since it has door, luggage space ,safety ,speed @ the style.

people who drives large cars will look it as a nuisance on the road which is full of auto , junky fiat taxis and now this new version of AUTORICKSHAW

altogether very good package for small town or rural area but should be discourage in metros and instead all public transport should be upgraded like the west

I feel very proud is our engineer made our common man dream of having a 4wheeler fullfill  and that to a country made car

last thing i want to mention is people say thtat interior is not to good but i want to say that what u will get today in rs 150000/-even maruti 40 year old model is not ready to sell their car not less than200000/- without any feature

good compact looks ,best economical segment carcompromise every aspect of interior

Cute car, small & trendy.. designed by the firm which designed ferrari...

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Huge head room, large leg space.. 5 ppl can seat easily.. long journeys are also comfortable..

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Gear shifting is very easy, a little noisy though..

Cabin noise is lesser than wagon r, some may not believe it.. but drive one to know it yourself..

      Ride Quality & Handling

easier to drive than my 2 wheeler, very good turning radius. easy manuovering, lack of powersteering is not felt atall

      Final Words

Book is the day 2nd round of booking starts..  Nano is all you need for a city ride.. Highest milage, lowest milage, lowest foot print, most environment friendly car available in india.. and the biggest positive is.. its made by an indian for indians.. Jay Hind !!

Faster delievery, more colour optiions, more higher end variants. Diesel engine, alloy wheels.

Excellent fuel economy, unbelievable interior space, turns like a bicycle, unexceptionally safelong waiting periods thanks to mamta banarjee

I had recently booked the yellow LX Nano after taking the Test drive at R Mall in Mumbai. It was definitely one of the most surprising vehicles for me.

I had approached their setup at the mall and was encouraged to test drive the vehicle. The first thing I noticed about the vehicle is the compact size. It is definitely an advantage in a crowded citylike Mumbai. The other thing i noticed when i sat inside is that there was a lot of headroom. The vehicle felt tall and there was an unbelievable amount of space all around. Suddenly it didnt feel like it was the smallest car in India. I started the engine and could not hear the engine noise. I thought the vehicle had not started but the dealership guy told me that the engine had started and i didnt hear much of the noise inside the vehicle due to the engine being at the rear. On moving around in the vehicle, the steering was effortless however at very slow speeds the effort required could be felt. The AC too was very powerful and at the end of the day it is quite a surprise of how they have managed to make an actual car with all these features in 2 lakh rs. The power windows were also included in this variant. Besides this while driving, a vehicle ahead of me suddenly applied his brakes and i managed to do the same. I was satisfied with the braking performance. Having driven other vehicles which are much above this price range, i believe that this is something the Tata’s have made right. I booked the vehicle after a week of reading various reviews and am awaiting the delivery.

Exterior The only negative thing that caught me eye was, the bottom portion of the seemed somewhat uncovered; looked as if the internal engine part (even though it was only the exhaust + silencer) was exposed. Ground Clearance was a big positive surprise for me. I am for it and feel more comfortable given the conditions of some Chennai Roads.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Leg room and high seats are definitely great. But the engine noise is very much a nuisance to the passengers in the back seat.  My 5 yr old son quickly complained about the noise. I understand that this would be the case since the engine is in the rear but ultimately, but I am going for a new car for comfort and satisfaction my whole family hence couldn't ignore their feedback. The interior also lacks in finese.  For example the battery is very much visisble and it was somewhat unsettling for my wife with my meddlesome 5 yr-old son.  Also, an unseemly rod was running through the witdth of the car on the floor, just behind the front-seats. Tata could have done something to decently cover them up.

The back seats could have been split to compensate the lack of sufficient boot space.  That would have been really great for me.  Even a 50-50 split would have been very useful.  I fully agree with Tata's arguement that they have to do away with lot of typical features to bring down the price but they could have done so atleast for the CX and LX models.  Also my wish (don't know how much practical it would be) is, if such a split is provided then the back-seats could be designed for a bottom-up fold instead of the back-rest fold.  I believe that then there would be enough space to carry a decent-sized suitcase too.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Frankly, I didn't specifically test for these but my experience in shifting gears was much better than the clunky experience I am presently having with my M800.  About Engine performace, I could just share a guess that it would be slightly better than M800.  The other day when I was travelling around 60kmph in East Coast Road off Chennai, a Nano overtook me!!

Ride Quality & Handling I currently have 1997 model of Maruti 800 A/c.  Nano's Ride quality and Handling is definitely better than my M800. Gear shift is smoother and easier. Steering is also easier. I never used power steering so, this could be a problem for those being used to power steering.

Final Words I want to go for city-car with occasional / rare long drives (say upto Pondicherry max).  Nano largely fits the bill but as I said, I have to give due importance to passenger comfort in the backseat.  Even the lack finnese in the interiors is not that much of a problem for me but the noise level in the cabin is definitely a big "no".

      Areas of improvement

      1. Need to greatly reduce the Engine Noise in the cabin.  it could be slightly more than front-engined cars but not to the levels I experienced in the Demo Car

      2. Need Split seats (with bottom fold-up) for utility.  I feel it would greatly compensate for the loss of decent boot space

      3. Finnese of Interiors - atleast cover up the battery from the passengers' view

      4. A/c power - if needs be, upgrade the engine to 800cc or 1000cc.

Shape, high seats, Drive ExperienceEngine noise inside the cabin, A/c effect
