I purchased the M. Red colour Manza Elan in April-2011 and has driven more than 10000 kms since.Including one trip to Amritsar-Vaishnodevi from Surat (Gujarat) of approx 4000 kms in Nov-2011.
Exterior
Exterior is good to very good except the rear of the car looks bulky. May be compromised to house a BIG boot of nearly 500 liters.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Very good two-tone beige brown interiors. Good space to hold cans and bottles, cup-holders, under-seat storage for bottles. Height adjustable front seats. Inches of gaps are left for the back-seat passengers to sit comfortably.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Good 1250 cc proven engine, great mileage, smooth gear shifting.
Ride Quality & Handling
Excellent ride, great road grip, excellent turning radius.
Final Words
Everything for this car can be classified as EXCELLENT except Tata's Service Backup is still very poor. If Tata's can imprive their service setup, there is no looking back for them to get a good shre into Maruti's and Hyundai's share.
Areas of improvement
Tata's serive centre needs a lot of improvement in terms of customer-friendliness and dealer's mindset. The dealers still think of themselves as they are dealing with mostly Tata Indica's Taxi Drivers; whereas Manza is mostly an owner driven car and it needs a whole new approach to tap a good after-sales Sales potential from the existing customers.
