I had been driving a Indigo XL Classic for 3 weeks as of now and the car has got good rear room space. It ought to be very comfortable for people sitting at the back. Its really eXclusive Lounge. but they should improve on the exteriors. And the door design need to be improved a lot. AC in the car is working pefectly and you can feel the cool quiet effectively. But lack of ABS and airbags. It is more executive looking car. coming to the mileage, I have been getting 12 kmpl consistently in city driving. Overall, a value-for-money.Comfort and great rear boot spaceNeed to improve the exterior
I bought this car a year back on Gudi Padhwa day after checking Dsire and Honda City models. While the Dsire version was not liked by my wife because of inadequate legspace in the rear, Honda City was going beyond my budget of Rs 6 lacs.My family loved the interior features like rear tray, dual tower Ac etc and of course the huge rear space in Indigo Classic I have been very happy with the performance of the Indigo Classic petrol model over the past one year, especially the helpful dealer behaviour. However, I had on two occasions been mistaken for a commercial vehicle. The exterior could have been modified a bit from the other Indigo models to avoid this misunderstanding. The window operation also has given me some problem during the monsoons, but the dealer promptly exchanged it being in the guarantee period. On the expressway, I have been getting 12 Km with AC and 14 without AC. However, in Pune city traffic, it goes down to below 10 Km with AC. I feel this aspect needs to be improved. Overall a real good value for money. Brig (Retd) SK Lahiri Great rear space, boot space, grand dual cooling, smooth driveAverage fuel economy, minor defects in automatic window operations during monsoons
Yesterday, my friend Nawaz called me up to get some thoughts on buying
a new car. He had been doing some research himself on the web and also
been talking to his other friends. From what he had heard from his
friends, he seemed to have been quite impressed by Tata Indigo XL. When
he called me up, he was very upbeat and was explaining the features a
lot. He asked me if I could go along with him to the Tata show room to
take a test drive of the vehicle. I agreed and went to the show room
with him. I had never test driven a new car and it was my first time.
Tata Indigo has petrol and and Diesel variants. In each of these
variants, they have two models - Classic and Grand. At the showroom
'Grand' was there a display piece and we started inspecting while we
were waiting for the executive to come and attend to us. The car looked
good. At first glance, the most impressive thing about the car is the
space. There is a lot of room inside. The back seat is very spacious
and 3 people can sit very comfortably. Tall people won't have any
problem stretching their legs when they are seated in the back seat.
