i bought Tata Indigo LS in june 2004. I liked the car on road and it was coming in my budget. I upgraded from Maruti Zen to Tata Indigo. Except look, size and mileage (which is quite good - around 14-15 kmpl in city and 20 on highway with AC). Rest everything makes you feel like not buying any Tata vehicle. From the first service the car is going to Tata Authorised Service Centre (Nawab Motors, Noida). Car have lot of irritating noise (as if there is problem with shocker or suspension) which i kept on complaing for 2 year (i paid aprox.6000.00 to A-One motors for this work without any result). Standard reply from service guys - Sir, this noise is normal in Tata cars. I had to get my engine done on 54000km (first time in my 10 years of driving and changing 6 cars). Car was repaired twice at Nawab Motors for heating and at last they had re-done the engine which nobody would expect for a car which is driven single handedly and only 54000km.
Now i am planning to go in for Maruti again for their Swift Dzire but when i go to market for sale the price offered is only around Rs. 1,70,000.

The Indigo CS model i have been using for 20 days now and my first observation is that it is not as per specs .The AC is not that effective for rear passenger.Yes the car bears a good aesthetic look and it will give run for money to models like SX4 maruti,or Swift Dzire . The cost is big attraction for this model. The interiors look ok but the plastics and other material used looks to be cheaper ones. The Power window front seems to be running in problems with most of people.I think the Door of the dicky is such a thin sheet it gives a very awkward sound while closing. The plastic used for the door handles from outside is not of quality moulding.The levers for opening the dicky door is so hard that it can break any time .
My overall opinion is that it can be a most favourite model with people if people get more info of its better performance which has to be incorporated in the car.Things like Central locking needs to be made standard in the basic cost and should be provided with AC ducts in the rear side too. The improvements will make people forget cars like Mahindra Logan .
Fuel 9-10 kms achieved on Indigo CS purchased on 25.08.Gr8 looks n comfortable.Space ok interiors not bad needs better workmanship.Cheap material used.Exterior/Styles

This is the gr8 car till 2day i have driven.
It has big comfort.
Interior is also very nice.
Very steady on highways.
Steady @ high speeds.
Fuel ecomonic in its class.

Final Words dis car is overall good average ac working g8 in in city and dis is car is one of the economy car in diesel with g8 pickup and ac cooling is superb and milage olso good in ac about 14 km/l on ac so over all dis car can be purchase
Areas of improvement engine is noisyv and more thng is dat tata car ki fan belt offfo hamesha awaz karti rehti h each and every tata car jaise paidaishi bimari ho but only for 1 min and interior should be more improve
pick up is g8 and a.c working good in city milage is owesomeengine sound is not good as compare to swift

We have got the LX version in 2007 May. About to complete 2 years.
Awesome car, fully loaded on raod costed 5.8 Lacs.
2 yrs and no faults. Every Time went for balancing and alignment dealer says want to waste money as there is misalignment of 0.1 degrees max.
Great Car, quite good looking, good effeciency, almost all features, tank like build quality, good on space, cheap to buy and maintain .... perfect VFM.

it looks very ordinary from exterior but you can make it better by fitting alloy wheels

overall satisfying performance, it can give 15 km per litre within city and can touch average of 20 km on highway.

Final Words
Indigo is the best deal for those looking for sedan between 5 to 6 lacs. I have finished 75000 and my car is still going great. The car is good deal in terms of money, safety, space and overall performance.one should must try this before going for any other car
Areas of improvement
service centre should be improved, tata should come up with new design, the indigo sedan and new manza is a big disappointment in terms of exterior looks.

I baught a Tata Indigo LS TDI second hand (2007 Model) vehicle last year, I have been driving this car for the past 6 months now; And I am really bored of driving this one, This has no power at all. In the beginning i was thinking that I may feel like that as I was driving a petrol car till then. Later on only I had realized, I am mad enough buying this car. Every morning, when I start my car I feel like starting a TATA LORRY (sound badly for atleast 5-6 KM). Now I am planning to sell out this one and to find a real car soon.
Exterior POOR.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) NOT BAD.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very Very poor pick-up, very high engine noise on first start of the day. Not a bad fuel economy.
Ride Quality & Handling Good, especially on highway.
Final Words Worth for Taxi.
